(Above photo credit: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's missingkids.org website) Missing Child Profile as of October 16th, 2018: (Based on missingkids.org Amber Alert profile) Missing date: Oct 15, 2018 Missing From: Barron, WI Age (as of 10/16/2018): 13 years Sex: Female Race: White Height: 5'0" Weight: 100 lbs From CNN: (CNN)A 13-year-old girl is missing and believed in danger after her parents were found slain in their northwestern Wisconsin home, authorities said. An Amber Alert has been issued for Jayme Closs, whose parents were found dead in their home near Barron shortly after someone there called 911 early Monday, the Barron County Sheriff's Department said. Investigators are trying to find out not only where Jayme is, but what led to her parents' deaths. They have searched the area around the home, including with drones and infrared, and have searched her school and interviewed her friends, officials said Tuesday. Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald, speaking at a press conference, described Jayme was a sweet and shy girl who enjoys dancing and sports. Fitzgerald said that Jayme attended a family gathering on Sunday afternoon and that he does not believe she ran away. "At the end of the day, I want a 13-year-old here safe and sound -- that's our goal," Fitzgerald told CNN affiliate WQOW on Monday. During the 911 call, the dispatcher heard a disturbance in the background but no one spoke directly to the dispatcher, Fitzgerald said. When deputies arrived, they found Jayme's parents -- James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46 -- dead. Fitzgerald said he couldn't immediately say how the couple died, but gunshots were involved, WQOW reported. "We believe Jayme was in the house when this took place," Fitzgerald told CNN affiliate WCCO. Fitzgerald declined to provide further information about the crime scene, and said the focus now is on locating the teen. "Our number one goal is to bring Jayme home, and no amount of information will be given out unless we feel it's appropriate to help," he said. Jayme Closs is 5 feet tall, weighs 100 pounds and has green eyes and blond or strawberry hair, the sheriff's department said. Barron, a city of 3,400, is about 75 miles northeast of Minneapolis, Minnesota. www.cnn.com/2018/10/16/us/wisconsin-amber-alert-jayme-closs/index.htmlNCMEC Amber Alert profile link: api.missingkids.org/poster/AMBER/30183/11026/screenThoughts? I am placing Jayme's case in the Missing on TV section since this horrific situation has thankfully received national news coverage. This unfortunately has similar undertones to the Joseph Duncan/Dylan & Shasta Groene case. While Dylan was tragically murdered, Shasta was miraculously recovered thanks to an alert waitress at a diner who had seen the national news coverage. I hope something similar happens here, and Jayme can be found safe as well. Sorry to do this again but need to go on another social media rant as I'm getting pissed off at internet commenters on social media sites essentially accusing Jayme of being involved in her parents death and thinking she ran off willingly with whoever killed them.
While that scenario has happened before, authorities have made it clear they believe Jayme was taken against her will. What's most important rather than judging a 13-year-old girl and playing amateur detective after reading a news story for 2 minutes is making sure she's safe. (yes, amateur sleuthing is part of our site, but we base it on reading up on actual evidence and studying of cases rather than jumping to conclusions).
The fact of the matter is a 13-year-old girl is missing under extremely violent circumstances. I'm more concerned about her safety right now than trying to figure out whether or not to accuse someone who is said to be a victim.
Admittedly, there have been some cases in the past like this where I have my suspicions (Jayme's is NOT one of them). For example, there have been a few "mother claims her child was kidnapped" stories where I felt the mother's story didn't add up. Unless those said to be victims do something like not cooperate or fail/not take a lie detector test or something like that (for example, Kyron Horman's stepmother opened herself up to scrutiny imo), I normally don't state my feelings publicly since I feel it would be disrespectful to assume and jump to conclusions. Some cases I turned out to be right when I suspected something was up. I still don't regret not saying anything because it was the right thing to do. (And once again, I honestly believe Jayme was kidnapped but just stating in general).
Jayme is missing, likely in extreme danger, and as if her parents being murdered isn't bad enough, she's being accused of plotting to kill them by some on social as well.
So in conclusion- I would like to tell those people to go f*** themselves.

Everyone looking at these types of cases has their right to their opinion, but there is no suspicion or reason to believe whatsoever right now that Jayme was involved in her parents murders.
I fear that if Jayme isn't found alive this may turn out to be like the still unsolved Short Family murders in Virginia, which I definitely do not want to see happen.

Jayme's case was profiled on this past weekend's "missing" segment on A&E's Live PD. They once again reiterated she is not considered a suspect and believed to be in grave danger.

UPDATE: " One week after 13-year-old Jayme Closs was abducted from her rural Wisconsin home, authorities are looking for two vehicles of interest after cars were spotted near the Closs home around the time of the crime. One car was likely a red or orange 2000 to 2014 Dodge Challenger, based on surveillance videos from homes and businesses, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said at a news conference Monday. The second car was likely a 2006 to 2010 black Ford Edge or a 2004 to 2010 black Acura MDX" abcnews.go.com/US/gathering-hope-held-missing-wisconsin-girl-jayme-closs/story?id=58660172(below photo credits: kare.com)

Also, I want to stress to the public to not get down and just assume Jayme is deceased. We saw from the Elizabeth Smart case that a missing child abducted from their own home can in fact still be alive even a year later.
Of course, we hope it doesn't take that long to find Jayme.
We need to think positive rather than giving up.

What should help in identifying the driver of the red/orange Dodge Challenger is what I assume to be lack of the make, model and colour of that particular car on the road today. Someone is going to figure out who that car's owner is.

Articles are saying search is being scaled back as leads are drying up. Really weird how after the promising leads about the vehicles of interest Jayme's case has sadly become colder.

FBI is examining additional surveillance video around the Closs home. Also, I realize Jayme's case has been frustrating as has Hania but we still need to think positive. Is it possible Jayme and/or Hania are dead? Unfortunately, yes. As time goes on, unfortunately it lessens the likelihood of recovery. However, we've seen miracles happen as well. Elizabeth Smart, Shasta Groene (unfortunately a half miracle but at least she was recovered), Gina de Jesus/Amanda Berry/Michelle Knight, Jaycee Dugard etc... All we can do right now is hope. Be vigilant as well of course. But hope. abc7chicago.com/-fbi-examining-video-from-expanded-area-around-home-of-missing-wis-girl-jayme-closs/4693056/
