Jayme has been found alive! Wow! I’m so happy she has been found alive, a good start to 2019 for sure, now let’s see what the motive was for why the man killed Jayme’s parents and abducted her.

Also, I want to stress to the public to not get down and just assume Jayme is deceased. We saw from the Elizabeth Smart case that a missing child abducted from their own home can in fact still be alive even a year later. Of course, we hope it doesn't take that long to find Jayme. We need to think positive rather than giving up. Not to brag but quoting my earlier point to show this is exactly what happened and why we never give up! I'm so thrilled Jayme's been found alive. At the same time, her parents were still murdered and who knows what her abductor did to her. Jayme will need support and she will need her privacy (I usually delete missing children threads once they're recovered for their privacy however since this was such a high-profile case I'll leave it on here since there's unfortunately no way for Jayme to disappear from Google when people search her name now anyway. This also serves as an example for the future). But anyway I hope the general public and the media, who do deserve credit for their efforts in helping to recover Jayme, also respect her now that she's been found alive. She will still probably need therapy, help, support etc.. I hope Elizabeth Smart and Jaycee Dugard reach out to her. But yes today we can be happy the miracle did happen!

A few more details, Jayme apparently emerged from the woods in Northwestern Wisconsin having somehow escaped her kidnapper or kidnappers (a 10 am central standard time press conference will apparently answer those questions). She flagged down a woman walking her dog and told her she was Jayme Closs and to call 911. This apparently lead to her recovery and arrest of one suspect. What a brave girl. www.mprnews.org/story/2019/01/10/missing-jayme-closs-found-alive-wisconsin-sheriff

We as a society, as well as a crime-fighting community desperately needed this news that Jayme was able to escape the captor who had killed her parents, and is now safe. The damage from the three-month ordeal has been done unfortunately, so I second Scumhunter's statement to give this innocent child the chance to heal and move on with her life in private.
Of course on CNN's Facebook page, there are still those who say Jayme was involved in the murders of her parents. Someone did post that Jayme was found malnourished and with shoes too big for her feet, which does not sound like she was involved to me. For anyone who will still openly post that dumb opinion online and is not a member of local law enforcement, do me a favour and **** off.

Sorry I might have jumbled the story together too quickly and apparently the jogger brought Jayme to a neighbor and the jogger told the woman it was Jayme Closs.
Regardless, I can't say how pissed off I am at the peanut gallery on the internet even after authorities saying Jayme was abducted and even after there was a news a suspect was in custody and Jayme is with relatives STILL WANT TO ACCUSE A 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL OF BEING BEHIND THE BRUTAL MURDER OF HER PARENTS! What enrages me even further is how many people are agreeing and going "yeah some things don't add up." Shut the f*** up. G-d forbid you were ever in this family's shoes.
Sorry, words can't express how enraged I am at that aspect.

Pretty much the same story as in the news. Jayme gave a description of her abductor's vehicle to the officers who found her. They found it and detained the suspect, now identified as 21-year-old Jake Thomas Patterson, who will be charged in relation to the homicides of Jayme's parents and her abduction.
Patterson was not believed to have been previously known to Jayme's family. It is believed she was Patterson's only target.
The case remains active and fluid.
There will be a 4PM media update with more details.

I guess we'll find out more later but the family that owns the cabin where apparently police found Patterson has had numerous run-ins with law enforcement, according to a heavy.com article. heavy.com/news/2019/01/jake-patterson/

A few updates- -Patterson worked at the company where Closs's parents were employed- the Jennie-O turkey store, but he quit the next day. -It appears he had no previous contact with Jayme or her family -Patterson has no prior criminal history Also, I wanted to say a few more things: -The woman who Jayme contacted after her escape has been identified as Jeanne Nutter. I would like to say she's a hero as well as Kristin and Peter Kasinkas- the husband and the wife of home her and Jayme went to for help- are heroes as well! They deserve more recognition. www.cnn.com/us/live-news/jayme-closs-wisconsin-found/Also, here's a mugshot from CNN of Patterson, which I hope puts to bed any "Jayme kidnapped herself" rumors once and for all. No girl teenager or adult would go through all that trouble for such an ugly motherf***er.

Okay back to seriousness, that was messed up what he did, already a 13 year old girl is without her parents. But what do they mean with he had no previous contact with Jayme and her family?

What they mean by no prior contact is he never spoke with or acquainted with any of them prior to that terrible night a few months ago.
He worked one day at the same company as Jayme's parents but while sadly they're not alive to confirm it's believed they would vaguely if at all recall him.

She has a tough road ahead of her but at least she'll never have to worry about this monster again.
