Unfortunately Its. That time of year again political season I'm feeling conflicted and confused at the same time while I'm a conservative individual with a deep love for a history I can acknowledge that as of late both sides have acted like petty children now for those who don't know I'm a Republican basically the party who supposedly represents the lesser of the two evils according to some people and the democratic party is the real party according to other people I feel like I'm letting people in my life down because Im not sure I want to vote a certain way now I'm gonna say right now I basically detest both parties trumps a man baby but biden hasn't exactly been you know the greatest ever with specifically the state of the economy and the border and rising crime rate I just need some suggestions from you guys on what I should do

Honestly I would prefer to be an independent or a more open minded Republican if you guys any told on what I helps you get through election could give me some pointers and I'm not trying to make anyone upset because I'm not that kind of person trump even Though I voted for him I regret it and the second time I did as well I didn't trust my gut on Biden either I wasn't as aware at the time of what happened with them I hope this doesn't make any less of ally in our forum community

The problem with politics and political issues is that it’s always being talked about on the news regardless of media outlet and it’s exaggerated, Fox News plays up the border issues way too much, and MSNBC always talk about Trump’s Troubles, so I agree both sides have gotten to a point where they’ve gotten extremely toxic, and exaggerated for me it’s best to tune out. Issues like the Israel Gaza war, I watch news to inform myself and keep it moving because there’s some people unfortunately that take that story, obsess over it and go on to do antisemitic or Islamophobic crap. Also when you start to distance yourself politically, you feel so good, you don’t worry much, life is stress free and you get along with people regardless of political affiliation. I used to be so into politics as a left leaning person, but once you leave it alone and not focus on it you’re good. All this is sort of the way I’ve taken my life since 2021 and another thing that plays apart into why I’ve chosen this path is because I’m a working class blue collar person with a small self owned and operating business, I work 7 days out of the week, these politicians don’t care for guys like me, and they don’t do anything for me anyways. |

Thanks brother I appreciate it I always try to make the right call actually I'm disabled and I appreciate the feedback but my parents always had to work hard to support our family I have mental problem so I can understand that working class people like myself and i understand what you are saying

Ok so basically I try to avoid this thread as much as possible for my own sanity but this is just way to important as I have stated before I'm a conservative Republican now I know most of are community is democratic which I totally respect I wanted to say a case has changed my perspective a little bit now I hate to say this about myself but I will say it I used to be.a ultra conservative but I have no idea what this trigger happy lunatic was thinking for those who don't know former political candidate Saloman pena and fellow convicted conspirators allegedly hired two men who have pleaded guilty demetrio Trejo enlisted jose Trujillo his own son to attack by shooting firearms into the homes of Democratic members of the new Mexico house of representatives and state Senate and possibly even tried to kill the attorney general fortunately no one was killed by these psychotic monsters and what makes this worse is they fired multiple rounds into the homes of the victims the guy who hired them was Saloman pena was running in a local election in Albuquerque for a house race but he lost and he tried to get the results overturned at least the Trujillo men at least had the decency to admit they did it and decided to face the music while that doesn't make it right pena denied the charges and insists he is innocent and the victim he truly is the epitomy of the crazed and deranged ultra conservative brainwashed mindless drone attempted politician he deserves to spend the rest of his life in federal prison i really hate people who willingly put other people in danger to serve their own selfish ends

This kind of political violence was still mostly, if not completely, unheard of in the 00-Agents' Decade when George "Dubya" Bush 43 was president, which is saying a lot because his warhawkery abroad was considered extreme for the time. The political climate of the '020s is an unfortunate turn of events, one of the worst states of affairs in United Statish history. |

I don't know if this is a political topic or not but this case is tragic and while this can happen in other places but I saw an article that said and illegal immigrant named fermin Garcia Gutierrez has been arrested and charged with aggravated murder and several other charges in Hamilton Ohio but this was not his first run in with the law he has been arrested friggin 11 times and deported 7 times and he's also a gang member so there's a possibility the Gutierrez may have been involved with other homicides according to the sheriff of Butler county Ohio who blames the crisis on the Mexican government president Biden and homeland security secretary mayorkis while I do find that statement true to a point the border situation has been awful for decades I honestly don't know who's fault it is I think it started in the late 80s early 90s so both political parties are to blame in my opinion I mean.the cartels and illegal immigration exploded in horrific numbers basically I have seen this situation before basically if a group of people are trying to flee a bad situation they become desperate and often have to result to illegal ways of immigration but one thing my party does in a really horrible way is saying or has made several statements but this is on both parties but I really don't believe that some of pur elected officials degrade a certain group of people say all Mexicans of being criminals or saying Italians are all mobsters or saying that Irish people are drunkards or something like that ot pisses me off that we live in the greatest country on earth and we still have some much bigotry abd hatred but i believe we will be ok like one of my favorite civil rights leaders martin luther king jr said i hope one day my children will be judged by character not the color of there skin

Since the 2024 General election is pretty much ongoing at this point and it’s going to be a rematch between Biden and Trump, I will almost certainly sit this one out, as I don’t want to add to the polarization.
We live in a time with the highest levels of unhappiness in this country, and it won’t go away with the election of Donald Trump or Joe Biden, there needs to be a drastic change, and address a lot of problems that have been going on in this country, economic problems that have been set in motion since the 1980s, which ended up rearing its ugly head within the past decade resulting in the election of Trump.
One of those issues that has me really upset is the current fentanyl epidemic, it’s just extremely sad and heartbreaking what happens to families loved ones when it comes to that crap, and I just wish that stupid drug went away or no longer exist.i don’t want to combat it with firepower or guns, i just want to improve rehabilitation for drug addicts and people struggling with addiction.
I just wish we all came together regardless of race, religion, class, legal status, politics or gender, and unite, to create a better United States of America and a better tomorrow together.

After the March '020 primary went sour, I voted 3rd party in the November '020 general election. Given the problems in the United Statish political spectrum, I have to look beyond the two nominated candidates to determine who to vote for. In my case, the Heritage Foundation's "Project 2025" would have me marked for theological persecution and become a fugitive from the Heritage Foundation's subsequently-formed morality / theology police if Heritage's preferred party wins the November '024 general election.

Guys I’ve tried to stay out of this thread but Trump is a fascist dictator who wants to be king (also a rapist and a murderer) and is friends with Putin and the like out to destroy the world.
Biden isn’t perfect but he’s your only choice if you don’t want democracy to end.
I also think Biden’s doing better than people give him credit for but it’s the media’s job to create headlines and manufacture controversy so of course they won’t acknowledge his accomplishments.
But in general you shouldn’t find your candidate perfect. That is the difference between Biden and Trump supporters. You can find Biden imperfect but support him anyway. Trump on the other hand is supported by a cult.

Also we got Trump in 2016 because of everyone who sat out because they didn’t like Trump and Hillary. I didn’t like Hillary either but in retrospect I sure as heck still wish she had won instead.

I thought this was very important but the president of Iran was killed in a helicopter crash along with several other high ranking Iranian government officials I found this out o this morning but the situation in Iran is looking fire the sanctions are crippling the economy and the younger population is almost at breaking point but can you blame them I mean I realize that it is a very complex situation but I mean living in constant fear and of the secret police and risking execution for the smallest thing I hope that things don't get worse but I know I am going to be wrong
