Dude, I’ve been out of the country almost 2 months, and Roe V Wade gets overturned? I’m a non political person now but What in the actual F*+%?
I personally oppose late term abortion morally, but I support a woman’s right to choose, and going forward I will support the forum’s position on the matter.

This is the problem with the internet dumbing everything down debate-wise. Everyone takes a this or that stance when in reality every issue has nuance. You can be morally opposed to abortion but against the government regulating it. Same with guns. I'm pro-guns, just anti it being too easy for nutjobs to get them. But the NRA has dumbed it down to making it where being for any legislation means you're anti guns.

The current Supreme Court is now a Rogue Court, we are in some very dark times and all of this is to blame on one thing, the 2 Party Dictatorship, which is to blame for such political divisiveness since 2016 if not decades earlier. Everything has and will be divisive especially in recent years because it’s only 2 choices each time, and there are no other choices to relieve the tension, which is the root of the problem, we need to relieve the tension of this 2 party dictatorship by getting the election commission to let the other parties participate. Look It may seem like I’m talking out of my a#% but I acknowledge the democrats are the only sane ones, but they’re not going on the offensive, and saying “screw the republicans” instead they want to play and hold their c*#% with this bipartisanship crap. Literally the reason I’ve given up on the democrats, they don’t do enough, most of the republicans are straight up like 1930s Germany, which is why I don’t like them either. It’s not that hard for the democrats to pack the court by saying f*%# the filibuster, and as much as I personally want a predominantly far left wing court while unlikely, but realistically I’d like it if they at least put in some left wing and some center left judges on the bench, in order to restore sanity.

Unfortunately the unthinkable has happened in Japan, as someone with a homemade gun assassinated, Former Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, who served in that role from 2006-2007, and then again from 2012-2020, this comes nearly a year after Former President of Haiti Jovenel Moise was assassinated by a group of mercenaries at his residence. While Shinzo Abe is a very popular figure in Japan, and Japan being a country known for having very strict gun laws and being very stable, but even that didn’t stop the suspect from using a homemade shotgun and killing the former prime minister. Honestly I’m worried that this shooting, will cause people to take measures like this to avoid a background check in order to have easy access to a weapon, or that political violence reaches that level of insanity here in the United States where we’re basically already at each other’s throats politically as it is. www.npr.org/2022/07/08/1110538891/shinzo-abe-former-prime-minister-japan-killed

Yeah it's sad since all things considered Shinzo Abe seemed like a relatively progressive leader, admitted to Japan's dark history in World War II (would be nice if the U.S. didn't shy away from their role in internment camps but that's besides the point).
Unfortunately yeah everyone's in a frenzy over politics.
Believe it or not, I actually don't like being political. It's exhausting, but unfortunately the world is crazy right now, to put it mildly.

So Dominion Voting Systems’s lawsuit against FOX News has revealed internal documents. This has exposed FOX News hosts and executives acknowledging the legitimate win of Joe Biden and that they had to promote Trump’s election fraud claims. Otherwise they would have lost their viewership to Newsmax. This basically means the FOX News has no comprehension of what actual journalism is all about. www.cnn.com/2023/02/17/business/fox-news-dominion-lies/index.html

The Principle of the Public Commons holds that certain services and functions should never be corporatized under any circumstances, because it inherently creates a conflict of interest. These include health care, education, and criminal justice.

In agreement with 912th, I agree the media shouldn’t be privatized, and I personally prefer to get news from a source like NPR, because channels like Fox News and MSNBC are basically the toilet bowls of news media, and that’s my opinion as a working class left winger.

The three major cable news networks are all terrible- Fox News- conservative bias, MSNBC- liberal bias, and CNN we can't forget either- thanks for The Hunt- but they might actually be the worst of them all with their "both sides" bias. No matter whatever evil thing Trump or DeSantis does they have to balance it with some negative liberal story as well or do some both sides angle.. For example, Biden realized he had classified documents and reported it right away. You can make the argument he was sloppy, but it is not the same as Trump purposely taking them without telling anyone and refusing/lying to give them back. But CNN will go out of their way to make them both seem like equal scandals so they can appear to be treating both sides equally. Yes, both sides suck, but in my opinion, one side is so much worse at the moment and it isn't close. Both sides-ism doesn't work when the public needs to know the truth.
NPR is a good unbiased source and BBC news is another relatively good unbiased source as well.

Even as a conservative leaning person myself Fox News is just pure garbage for the most part.

But your contributions are always welcome to the forum and it's been great having you as a relatively new member, unfortunately our forum doesn't reflect overall society lately with us all getting along regardless of political affiliations but it helps that we all have a common goal in catching bad guys.

I’m going to hit 2 different topics in one post, so here we go.
First off, I’m starting to hear chatter about the 2024 election now, and I’m going to say this now, that in 2016 & 2020, I got really fervently into it during both of those election cycles (like most other people) that it pretty much drained me politically and people in general get so unbearable, that I came to the decision to possibly sit 2024 out, and take the Apolitical side, which is the path I’ve started to take a bit in general in life.
The other topic has to do with the FBI Most Wanted Terrorists list, and the war on terror. It’s been a year and a half since the United States pulled out of Afghanistan, since then the Taliban regained power in Kabul, Russia invaded Ukraine and Saif Al-Adel became the only one of the original MWT list fugitives still at large, that I wanted to ask everyone, is the war on terror over? Do we still need the most wanted terrorists list?
