Also I can hope that The Hunt will feature some fugitives wanted out of Canada.

It just frustrated me with the Pink Panther case because they could have used that airtime for newer and more recent fugitives more likely to get caught. I also hope for more Canadian fugitives as well, which will likely happen, since Canada receives CNN.

Good find! I certainly wouldn't mind them airing a guy like that! (As long as there's a bunch of other fugitives who are "traditional" AMW fugitives)

Ok Pakman gave me the episode guide for the World's Most Wanted Special on Fox: Segment 1 - Samantha Lewthwaite Segment 2 - Nalio Williams Segment 3 - Marjan Rroku Capture; Luan Kastrati Segment 4 - William Hunt; Guo Wu Segment 5 - Nazira Cross Break-Four Tease - Juan Mayorga Segment 6 - Across the Border, Beyond the Law Feature (Raul Tolentino and Jorge Coronel) Segment 7 - Hell's Angels Roundup (David Carroll, Claude Gauthier, Frederic Landry-Hetu) Segment 8 - The Pink Panthers I consider Samantha Lewthwaite and the Pink Panthers the only truly international fugitives profiled (although Marjan Rroku was wanted out of Albania but believed to be in the U.S.), since Canada is a part of North America. I will not insult HeadMarshal by insinuating that the Canadian fugitives profiled on that episode are foreign. So hopefully the new show will look somewhat like that.

Also if we can deduct the reasoning here. Here's what I'm assuming: Segment 1 - Samantha Lewthwaite: Internatonal Segment 2 - Nalio Williams: Possibly in the Caribbean? Don't remember if they even mentioned this though. Segment 3 - Marjan Rroku Capture; Luan Kastrati (The former wanted out of Albania and caught in the U.S.), the latter an American fugitive who possibly fled to Albania Segment 4 - William Hunt; Guo Wu (The former seemingly randomly thrown in as a "traditional" AMW fugitive who would become an AMW indirect capture), the latter Canadian and technically another country. Technically. Segment 5 - Nazira Cross (American fugitive believed to be in Costa Rica) Break-Four Tease - Juan Mayorga (American fugitive possibly in Latin America) Segment 6 - Across the Border, Beyond the Law Feature (Raul Tolentino and Jorge Coronel) (American fugitives that could possibly be hiding in plain sight in Mexico) Segment 7 - Hell's Angels Roundup (David Carroll, Claude Gauthier, Frederic Landry-Hetu)- Canadian biker gang. Technically from another country. Technically. Segment 8 - The Pink Panthers. International So we can see the international connections but thankfully most were U.S. fugitives. (Not to be biased, but the chances of Walsh catching bad guys again is much better if not EVERY fugitive on the show is likely in another country)

Heck, I was watching AMW before even that, but didn't become an "official" viewer until the same age as your start. I do find it a weird statement since A) I knew plenty of young people who loved AMW and B) I'm not sure how American-centric teenagers and young adults are really into cases from other parts of the world as this is said to be a more international show than AMW. (I am a young adult myself so I don't want to stereotype here, I just take it young people from the U.S. start out with just a general interest in American movies, music, tv shows etc and don't have a greater world view and/or appreciation of the world until at least college.) But the docu-style format will perhaps be a bit more fast-paced and intense for the new show. New graphics, new music, etc. But in John Walsh I trust. As long as he doesn't try to quote Kelly Clarkson before introducing fugitives like he did on Lifetime, I have faith he will be able to draw all ages in again just like AMW, young and old.

www.fbi.gov/wanted/human-traffickingI wanted to again bring up the FBI Featured Fugitive website's new "human trafficking section" because they added wanted posters for Roger Galindo-Sepeda and Maria Isbael Cruz. We know now that they're charged with forcing over 30 young Honduran women (some were under 18) into sex slavery in Texas. Along with Alfonso Diaz-Juarez, is it possible that any of the fugitives in that section will be aired since Walsh is seriously involved in trying to stop sex trafficking. Okay I know that Wei Li Pang and Shu Gang Li were briefly aired in 2012, but they could be re-aired.

I am sure there will be at least one sex trafficking fugitive aired on the new show. It's a topic Walsh was very passionate about towards the end of AMW's run on Lifetime.

With the show premiere date getting closer, I'm just waiting for TV Guide and IMDB pages to be made about the show. Just for more information on who's getting aired.

I think there is a catch to promoting the show. You don't want to announce it too early to where people forget, but you also don't want to announce it two days before *cough* Lifetime *cough* John Walsh Investigates *cough* to where people don't have enough time to prepare.
I'm minorly surprised there hasn't been more publicity though since The Hunt seems like really the return AMW with a different name.. However, unlike *cough* Lifetime with JWI* its not like there hasn't been any and I have seen ads promoting It at least.
I think it may have gotten a bit list in the shuffle since it is part of a complete CNN overhaul and has to share the spotlight with other shows. However CNN is giving it every chance to succeed. Not only is the same production company as surprise success Anthony Bourdain working on it, but they are getting the Bourdain time slot as well. (Lifetime had AMW in the infamous Friday night death slot). All the other shows will be on weekdays where CNN has struggled in the weekday at 9 pm time slot the past few years and Anderson Cooper's ratings don't seem to maken him and astronomical lead-in either.
So yeah I hope we see more promotion on imdb and tvguide soon. But hopefully the AMW fan base and new fans alike show up once more!

Went looking through my word processor document that has all the cases I know of on it, and wanted to mention some recent non-show fugitives (that don't have forum threads yet), that could be aired on The Hunt. Edgar Almazan (Ocala, Florida): As a result of a fight at a bar, on Oct 30, 2010, 20-year old Edgar Almazan opened fire on a group of men, wounding four of them and grazing the boot of the fifth victim. ocalasmostwanted.com/ocalas_most_wanted2.htmwww.ocala.com/article/20101123/ARTICLES/101129924Jose Espinoza-Diaz (Reading, Pennsylvania): On Jul 19, 2013, Jose walked up to 15-year old Wilberto Rojas at a playground and stabbed him in the neck, killing him. Jose may have fled the United States. www.readingpa.gov/content/jose-espinoza-diazwww2.readingeagle.com/mobile/article.aspx?id=522640Daniel Gastelum (Tucson, Arizona): On Nov 10, 2005, authorities found the bodies of three Mexican citizens in the desert outside Tucson. They had all been shot to death and what authorities say was a drug-related killing. In 2006, authorities issued an arrest warrant for Daniel Gastelum who may be in Mexico. 88crime.org/wanteds.aspx?F=Daniel&F2=&O=ID%20desctucsoncitizen.com/morgue/2006/12/01/34460-suspect-named-in-triple-slaying/Gilberto Juarez-Hernandez (Clearwater, Florida): On Jul 19, 2003, Petra Martin and her two-year old son Uriel were stabbed to death inside their home. Uriel was a child cancer survivor who had recently finished a round of chemotherapy. In 2012, a bloody fingerprint was tested and it came back to a match for Gilberto Juarez-Hernandez. Authorities don't know what the motive is or if there was any connection between Gilberto and the victims. Gilberto may be in Iowa where he has family and friends. Note: Gilberto was added to the amw.com site after the Lifetime series finale when the warrant was issued for his arrest.www.crimestoppersofpinellas.org/eye-on-crime/wanted-profiles/www.wtsp.com/news/article/325812/250/Cold-Case-Murders-Police-search-for-Gilberto-Juarez-Hernandez-for-2003-murder-of-mother-and-toddlerEdit: If anyone wants to do threads on any of these fugitives, then feel free.

Different topic but would anyone also like to see a 50/50 Fugitives Show on The Hunt at some point? I personally would but under two conditions.
1): Have a episode format like the 2008 edition (at least two short segments between each commercial break). 2): For the most part, feature cases that have not been on a 50/50 show before

A random thought I had- which is why I'm putting it here as opposed to the upcoming thread- wouldn't it be wild if tips lead to the discovery of Shane Miller or another fugitive being deceased? I still think Miller's alive but there is always that possibility with any fugitive since their whereabouts are usually unknown (except with refuse to extradite cases). If the Hunt has a capture counter, I don't know if they'd count it, but it would be crazy if direct capture #1 was a death! That would certainly make AMW/The Hunt history!
