Who do you think has a shot at making the FBI Top Ten list? I looked through their website and picked some fugitives I feel have a shot. Not all the added fugitives were previously on the Featured Fugitive page, but alot of them were. Also I felt that some for various reasons like Yaser Said and Albion Dee Frett would probably not be added. I just copied and pasted from my word processing file what I thought about this.
Dec 1, 2013: Currently, contenders cannot be hispanic due to there being 5 latino fugitives on the list. Dec 1, 2013: Until a non criminal enterprise white-collar fugitive is added, they should not be noted as serious contenders. Semion Mogilveich's two accomplices were put in the Criminal Enterprise section but now they've been removed for some reason. Dec 1, 2013: When a fugitive is added that is on the Featured Fugitives page, it's very rare that the featured fugitive poster does not have a red text notice at the bottom.
--Crimes Against Children--
Bruce Emerson Sawhill State: Missouri Crime: Convicted sex offender who molested a young girl. That girl later committed suicide. Justification: Repeat sex offender, victim's suicide may entice more people to come forward with information.
David Sheffield State: South Carolina Crime: Wanted on various child pornography charges Justification: Investigated by the FBI's Innocent Images Initiative, poster specifically mentions a risk to young boys.
--Cyber Crimes--
Alexsey Belan State: Nevada/California Crime: Stole user databases from major e-commerce companies and negotiated the sales of the databases. Justification: $100,000 reward offered, poster mentions he's a flight risk. Note: Would not want him added since Eastern European/Russian organized criminals should not be a focus of the list due to their low chance of capture.
--Murders--
Huy Quoc Cao State: California Crime: Shot and killed two restaurant patrons and shot at an uniformed security guard. Justification: Very violent offender, with multiple victims.
--Additional Violent Crimes--
Steven Eugene Clifford State: California Crime: Chiropractor who sexually assaulted 11 of his patients, including a juvenile. All of his victims were presumably female. Failed to appear for sentencing. Justification: Sex offender with numerous confirmed victims.

Great Choices, I think David Sheffield should be on Fbi Top Ten List along with Christopher Deningher, Those two are sick and disguised Human Beings who don't deserved be on the streets.

I will say you have a point that Yaser Said likely won't make the list. But that still won't stop me from begging and pleading for the FBI to add him to the top 10 list until the day he's caught or dies. I'm sick of the frigging politics in this case. The only fugitives I'd add is when I read about Alfonso Diaz-Juarez's case I immediately thought he would make a great addition to the top 10 list.

Forgot to add I think Jeffrey McDaniel has somewhat of an outside chance of making the list as well. I know his crime is from 1998 but that didn't stop Edward Harper from being added and the crime was pretty despicable.

Atherley was arrested. I was hesitant to do a thread on him too soon since with all the FBI publicity I figured he may not be out there too long. Thankfully I was right. I do stress though he was a wanted fugitive by the FBI, but was never on the "Most Wanted" list. It really annoys me when the media gets that wrong. Yaser Said is constantly referred to as being on the most wanted list as well even though he isn't. (But hopefully things can change!) www.winknews.com/Local-Florida/2014-01-18/SWFL-fugitive-Edly-Atherley-arrested-in-CA-murder-case#.UtsrQxAo7IUAnyway, still like your list of potential candidates Derek. Kind of interesting they said Daniel Chafe was in consideration before his arrest.

Now that Guevara's spot is vacant, I feel it would be an excellent time for the FBI to add the very first wanted sex trafficker to the Top Ten List. If they did then they would probably add Alfonso Diaz-Juarez, or either Maria Isabel Cruz or Roger Galindo-Sepeda (since they're wanted in the same case).
Although, Shadia Muse would be an easier fugitive to locate, and she is also very deserving to be on the list. Yaser Said would also be a very excellent addition.

Alfonso Diaz-Juarez would be an excellent case. I was surprised The Hunt didn't choose him or any other sex trafficking case this season considering John Walsh's strong feelings on the subject, but perhaps they're saving such a case for season 2.

With 11 confirmed sexual assault victims, Clifford would be a very good addition as well. That's why I mentioned him in the first post in this thread.

Although Daniel Andreas San Diego is already on the Most Wanted Terrorists list, I think that he'd be a good top tenner too! His publicity on the Terrorist list dosen't seem to have gotten him any closer to justice, but maybe it will if he is on the much more mainstream Top Ten List.

Yes I agree with you bountyhunter and Daniel San Diego doesn't seem to have a chance of being caught if he remains on the most wanted terrorist list because there isn't much publicity on them but then say once he is on the top ten list he in fact should be the easiest fugitive to capture due to publicity, because in my gut I feel he is still in the Mainland U.S or somewhere in Hawaii. Canada seems to be another place I feel he may have fled to

The list needs a female fugitive to shake things up. Brenda Delgado and by a long shot Ashley Montalvo. Delgado is currently my preferred fugitive for the list not because she's a female but she is the most recent and very high profile and the fact that a female is on the list will grab the attention of the public, not to be sexist. There are other male fugitives like Leprinceton Burks, B-Kumar Patel and Steven Eugene Clifford who are deserving candidates IMO so well just see what happens ☺️

Decided to draw up my list before the holidays and with the recent opening of 2 slots.
Potential Top Ten Contenders
To replace Robert Van Wisse:
* Cold Cases:
— Barrett Preston Busschau; wanted for the molestation of 5 minor girls in Oregon since 1993
Justification for Addition: He is still very young at 42 years old and the case is a complete stranger to everyone, which means publicity is needed.
— Gerardo Beltran; Catholic Priest wanted for molesting 4 minors in California in 1992, arrested in Mexico in 2008 and regrettably released.
Justification for Addition: He is a Catholic priest who can easily earn the trust of parents and he has been caught while on the run.
— Jeffrey Dean McDaniel; wanted for repeated sexual contact with his relative, fled to Mexico and got her pregnant through the coarse of 1998-2000.
Justification for Addition: An individual that seems to not have any sort of moral boundaries, likely to be reoffending with more victims.
— Jacob Maldonado; Wanted for the Murder of his mother’s boyfriend in Chicago in 2000.
Justification for Addition: An appropriate cold case Chicago may want to add and close the book, after the captures of Fidel Urbina and Luis Macedo in recent years.
— Daniel Min Suh; Wanted for the murder of a 16 year old in a gang related shooting at a shopping mall in Georgia in 1999.
Justification for Addition: Shot a 16 year old in cold blood and renewed interest and publicity will crack the case.
— Cesar Carlos Castaneda; Wanted for his involvement in a burglary of a man’s home in Texas in 1995.
Justification for Addition: At a young age he used deception to murder at man and will be almost 40 years old which means he’s still a young buck, so he isn’t dying anytime soon.
— Bruce Sawhill; Wanted for molesting a girl in Missouri in the early 2000s.
Justification for Addition: The only Crimes against Children that resulted in a suicide, makes it the most heartbreaking of that section.
— Sukhrob Davronov; Wanted for murdering his friend at a backyard Barbecue Party in Chicago in 2005.
Justification for Addition: From Personal opinion, I don’t believe he’s in Uzbekistan because of the poor human rights abuses and lack of civil liberties under the autocratic presidency of Islam Karimov from 1991 until his death in 2016, so Davronov may still be in the United States living in an Uzbek community.
— Shadia Muse; Wanted for murdering her newborn baby in Ohio in 2004.
Justification for Addition: Everyone has a hunch she may be in the Midwest or Toronto and may stand out on the Top Ten it added.
— Steven Eugene Clifford; Wanted for raping 11 women from 1998-2002 in California.
Justification for Addition; A high victim count and is believed to have fled the country.
* Wild cards:
Jesús Favela Astorga; The remaining fugitive in the wider conspiracy in the murder of Border Agent Brian Terry in 2010.
Justification for Addition: He was Removed from the FBI website after the capture of one of his accomplices in April 2017, also he’s wanted for a crime against a law enforcement officer.
Rene F. Ramirez; Wanted for possession, receipt and trafficking of child pornography via computers from 2007-2009 in New York.
Justification for Addition: Since He is a fugitive similar to Eric Toth and is skilled at computers, he can easily access computers and reoffend wherever he may be. Plus he wears glasses and has a somewhat Asian look (not to be racist) despite being born in Mexico.
Leslie Charles Dawson; Wanted for escaping from a prison in Oregon where he was serving sentence for raping juveniles in 1986.
Justification for Addition: New images emerged of him from 1991 or 1992, and The Hunt with John Walsh will air his case in October, so its possible they’ll mention a possible lead that led to those photos if that’s what happened
Any thoughts? Anyone shocked about who I picked?
