Okay here’s my list of 10 FBI Top Ten contenders for 2018
1. Geronimo Mendoza Zuniga- Geronimo Mendoza Zuniga is wanted for allegedly stabbing his former wife to death in front of their child in South Lake Tahoe, California, in August of 1984. The victim was stabbed over 30 times.
2. Gustavo Ubaldo Soria- wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of two people in Bakersfield, California. It is alleged that, on September 23, 2004, Soria shot and killed his estranged wife and a man. After the murders, Soria fled to Mexico in a rental car which was later recovered in Tijuana, Mexico.
3. Alfonso Diaz-Juárez- sought for alleged offenses relating to human trafficking, namely conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens. In October 2013, Diaz-Juarez, a Mexican national, was indicted with 13 other co-conspirators for running an international sex-trafficking organization. Diaz-Juarez, reportedly one of the most violent individuals in the organization, is the only remaining fugitive in the case.
4. Fred Alba Wert- On March 1, 1993, it is alleged that Fred Alba Wert shot and killed a man in Michigan after an argument over a former girlfriend. Before law enforcement authorities arrived, it is believed that Wert fled the scene on foot.
It is believed that after Wert allegedly committed the murder in Michigan, he fled the state using an assumed name and lived with a woman in Lone Star, Texas. In June of 1997, Wert was arrested in Texas for sexual assault under his assumed name. Before his true identity was discovered by local authorities, Wert was released and fled the area. This was his last known contact with law enforcement. On June 20, 1997, a Texas state arrest warrant was issued charging Wert with sexual assault, for allegedly raping a girlfriend's minor child.
5. Juan Dios Garza- wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of a man in Belle Glade, Florida. On October 21, 1984, Garza allegedly shot and killed a male victim, then shot and wounded the victim's brother.
6. Joe Matthew Constance- wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of his estranged wife in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, on June 5, 2011.
7. Lamont Stephenson- wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of a woman and her dog in their Newark, New Jersey, apartment, on October 17, 2014.
8. Napoleon Eduardo Castro- wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of his estranged wife on May 1, 2010, in Pacoima, California. The victim's body was found lying in a pool of blood at the entrance to her garage. She had been stabbed multiple times.
9. Juan Laureano-Arvizu- sought in San Diego for a series of violent crimes. Chaquetin was an alleged member of a drug cartel enforcement crew known as Los Palillos. This gang originally operated under the Arellano Felix Organization (AFO), a drug-trafficking organization in Tijuana, Mexico. It is reported that after leadership in the AFO was arrested, members of the Los Palillos fled to the United States and continued to operate as an independent gang, with an established drug distribution headquartered in San Diego County. This gang was suspected of kidnapping, torturing, and murdering nine people in San Diego County. And, between 2004-2007, Chaquetin allegedly participated in the abductions and murders.
10. Sukhrob Davronov- allegedly stabbed a man to death at a backyard barbeque party in Chicago, Illinois, on May 30, 2005. He fled the scene before law enforcement authorities arrived.
11. Shadia Muse- wanted for the alleged murder of her newborn baby girl on September 3, 2004, in Columbus, Ohio.
12. Eric Bills- wanted in connection with the September 29, 2016, homicide of a man whom Bills allegedly shot multiple times in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a result of an argument over a woman. Bills drove to the victim's location, exited his vehicle and allegedly shot the 36-year-old male victim in the street, multiple times. Bills then re-entered his vehicle and drove away. The victim was unarmed at the time of the shooting. Bills has not been seen in Milwaukee since that incident, and he may have fled the state.
Wild Card. Mauro Ociel Valenzuela-Reyes- wanted for his alleged involvement in the crash of ValuJet Airlines Flight 592 in 1996.
Here are some notes:
• Geronimo Mendoza Zuniga, Gustavo Ubaldo Soria, Joe Matthew Constance, Lamont Stephenson, & Napoleon Eduardo Castro are all wanted for murdering their significant others, which is a new trend for the FBI as 3 of the 5 fugitives Added to the Top 10 in 2017 were accused of murdering their wives or ex girlfriend.
• Both Geronimo Mendoza Zuniga, & Gustavo Ubaldo Soria have images of them years after their crimes which would be good because at least we have images of them and have an idea as to how they’d look. Whereas Soria is only 47-48, Mendoza Zuniga, despite possibly being deceased, is only 66 years old.
• Joe Constance, Lamont Stephenson, & Napoleon Castro are decent cases that could also benefit from the FBI’s Top ten and continue the new trend.
• Both Eric Bills and Fred Alba Wert are wanted for murdering men over a woman, but where as Bills is a recent case, Fred Wert is also being sought for child molestation and was recently added to the FBI Site. All we need in Wert’s Case are age progressed images and we’ll possibly have an Edward Harper redux.
• Alfonso Diaz Juárez would be a unique addition since he’s being sought for human trafficking and the FBI has yet to add a human trafficker to the Top 10. Also it puts Alfonso and human trafficking on the spotlight where it belongs.
• Juan Laureano-Arvizu is a drug cartel enforcer wanted for numerous murders including attempted murder of a police officer and other crimes. The FBI has Added plenty of gang members to the Top ten since 2012 and Chaquetin would make a great candidate since the FBI San Diego hasn’t made an addition during the 2010s
• In the case of Sukhrob Davronov, I see there are similarities between Davronov and Top 15 Fugitive Tony Burroughs. Personally I don’t really think he’s even hard to get despite no extradition treaty with Uzbekistan as he isn’t an oligarch, but an ordinary citizen. There is also the Possibility that he’s still in the states working in construction. Shadia Muse would be easier to locate despite being a cold case as many of us think she’s in the mid-west or the Toronto, Canada area.
• Juan Dios Garza, who for 34 years hasn’t received any attention besides newspapers. The FBI Top Ten has good transparency adding notorious and unknown cases to its top ten, so I think it’s possible he’d make it on despite being 64 years old.
• Finally Mauro Valenzuela Reyes is my wild card as he’s the last one being sought in the downing of an airplane, a more different type of fugitive compared to the others. His crime will make him stand out of other FBI fugitives and he’s not that old either at 48 years old.
Any thoughts? Which of my entries stood out? And why?
