Most of us who are huge AMW fans follow their page on Facebook and other social media. It is very informative, but sometimes the idiocy of the comments from some "fans" drive at least me if not all of us crazy. So I'd just like to take this moment to vent about some things and feel free to add your own annoying things as well: 1. "Go Back To Fox!" or some variation about how they shouldn't have went to Lifetime- We knows this already, but AMW of course did not "choose" to leave Fox but were cancelled. They had no choice but cable since Fox isn't going to let a competing network receive their show even if they were cancelled. I'm really tired of the ignorance of this fact. Not everyone in America has cable and it sucks for those who don't, but that is not AMW's fault. Should AMW finally get a new cable network I bet we're going to see even more "Should have went back to Fox instead" or "Cable again? Why not network tv?" comments and probably even some "should have stayed on Lifetime" comments as well. *sigh* 2. "I'm not going to watch John Walsh because he's on that liberal, conservative network, I don't like the host of that talk show etc." Often when Facebook announces John Walsh will be appearing on a cable news network or a talk show, there will be people who talk about how they love John Walsh but won't watch that channel because of their political beliefs. I even read someone who won't watch John on Katie Couric since they don't like Katie Couric. I am a huge AMW fan and will watch John Walsh everywhere regardless of whether they jibe with my beliefs. I consider Fox News to be full of ignorant and racist jerks but I'd still watch John Walsh do an interview on there because he's John Walsh. I consider Nancy Grace to be a loud mouth opportunist that exploits tragedy, but I'd still watch John Walsh if he were on her show. And it also doesn't make sense to comment about why you hate said thing anyway 3. Blaming John Walsh for your case not airing. This is one where I have some sympathy. But John Walsh has stated time and time again how many cases they have to painstakingly reject in a week. AMW is a one-hour show and the website can only fit so much content. And I hate to sound callous here, but your case is not the only case out there. I understand the frustration and God forbid I ever felt I needed the help of AMW, I'd desperately need their help as well. But they simply can't air every case and try their best and according to Mr. Walsh do review everything they get. So what are some of your pet peeves of AMW Facebook posters? Edit: With AMW gone, this has morphed into an overall Fugitive/true crime show thread about idiots on social media

People deciding to quit watching AMW because John Walsh is anti-NRA. I love that one. Especially since even if you are a gun nut, you'd have to admit John Walsh made some of the most reasonable and logical statements regarding guns. He said he owns one and goes quail hunting (as an animal lover, not thrilled about that but not against the law ), and no one's trying to take your guns away, but what's the use of an assault rifle. I think homeowners have the right to protection, but I'm with Walsh on this. I'm pro-gun rights and actually am supposed to go to a shooting range with my brother sometime this year , I'm just anti- it being too easy for nutcases to get them. But if you say anything, anything, that suggests a modification, you're trying to take guns away. I might and I stress might understand not liking Piers Morgan since his views are more extreme to the point where it seems he doesn't think anyone should have a gun. But that's not Walsh said. He makes a logical comment of compromise, and yet he's still criticized as well. And it's incredibly how selfish some of these gun nuts are after 20 frigging school children were killed by one last December. I really don't get why people don't realize you can be both pro-guns and pro-gun control.

This isn't so much being annoyed as much as I'm surprised by how many people are unaware the show has been cancelled (at least for the time being). I still see 5 zillion "hey I just noticed it hasn't been on in a while posts". Normally I'd find this weird but when I went on an expletive filled rant about Lifetime on my Facebook page after it was cancelled a few of my friends commented they were unaware the show was still on and would have watched had they known.

I have this incredibly annoying friend who, whenever I made a comment about AMW, would say, "Is that show still on the air?" Gee, if I'm making a comment about watching the show, wouldn't logic dictate that it is still on the air? I finally blocked her from reading my statuses, so now she has no idea what I post

I finally blocked her from reading my statuses, so now she has no idea what I post I take it this is when it was still on Fox or Lifetime and you told her it was still on and she still asked that question? That reminded me of another annoying thing- people who know AMW is off the air but think it was John Walsh's decision and keep appealing to him to change his mind and bring it back. *sigh*

Here's another thing that drives me crazy- people who find a way to make a post about giving in tips if for a fugitive and another poster somehow finds a way to insert a political comment that really has nothing to do with said fugitive- or anything for that matter.
AMW just posted Yaser Said's picture again and I actually see a few posts that to the effect are "Ask Obama." First of all, Obama's not of Arab descent and not a Muslim (there's nothing wrong with being either two and Yaser Said just sets a bad example). Second of all, I don't always agree with everything President Obama does, and naturally of course would have agreements and disagreements with anyone who was President, but what the heck does he have to do with catching a fugitive, especially one on the run before he was even elected President?
In fairness, I'm sure there'd be ignorant tie-ins no matter who the President was, and when AMW posted the link about Jason Derek Brown possibly hiding out in Mormon communities I saw a bunch of stupid "He's with Mitt Romney" posts, so this isn't a Democrat or Republican issue, and basically any fugitive is an excuse for someone to unnecessary insert their political beliefs whatever they may be into what was not a political discussion.
And in fairness, all over the internet, you'll see people finding ways to insert political comments into non-political discussions. But it's still annoying.
When AMW posts a fugitive, the comments should be support in finding the scumbag. Leave your politics for the actually politically-related message boards.

Hate to be a killjoy on great news but already fans are complaining on Facebook about the new show being on CNN.
I take it they had no problem with AMW being on Lifetime, a network that showed Dance Moms which was border-line if not outright child abuse, and exploited in-the-headlines stories such as the Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias case where there were actual dead victims in the cases who deserved a more respectful memory. Not to mention, being a woman's network that represented women in the worst light sometimes.
I'm also trying to figure out this "liberal agenda" thing that people claim too because if anything CNN has often been criticized for being too neutral. Aside from his stance on gun control, many considered Piers Morgan to be right-wing before it was announced his show was ending. I remember the Daily Show even made fun of CNN's apparent fear to ever take a stance on any issue (There were clips of multiple times where an anchor would ask a panelist on a show "is this a good thing or a bad thing?" or other types of multiple-choice questions to political topics)
I always say I'll watch John Walsh no matter the channel its on. Even if I didn't like what the channel represented, I'd just watch John but ban everything else on that channel from my tv. Why can't other people do that if they're such supposed "fans"?

I have my reservations about all major news networks. Once again, my top priority is their dedication. I want this to last, unlike the measly 11 months Lifetime spent going after criminals!
P.S. If that many people accuse CNN of being too neutral, they must be doing something right! As socially progressive as I may be, the only thing better than erring on the side of the Left is neutrality without bias. America can't seem to get its fair share of unbiased reporting, so I feel I can trust the ones America thinks is too neutral!

The thing is this will likely be a weekend-show. Weekend programming on news networks usually feels VERY different from the weekday programming. MSNBC, for example, shows a lot of crime-shows on the weekend as well (To Catch A Predator Reruns, Lockup, etc..) that really are nothing like any of their weekday shows. One of CNN's more popular shows is an Anthony Bourdain travel show that airs on Saturdays that obviously has nothing to do with news. (Which makes me wonder where John Walsh's new show will fit in the schedule).

True fans of AMW would be delighted that CNN is allowing Walsh to do a similar show on their network. If people are angry solely on left-wing/right wing political beliefs that John Walsh will have this show on CNN and don't watch it because of it, then they aren't true fans.

I think as I mentioned in the main thread about the show is people are underestimating how many people receive CNN worldwide.
Not even Canada got Lifetime until late 2012. There's a reason that although AMW on Lifetime had more captures than the last two years on Fox, there were very few non-traditional international captures (in other words besides Mexico) on it.

Actually that made me think of something. According to the link below, the CNN TV program schedules for different continents are different. I don't know if you can get the American scheduled programs at the same time on different continents, but I'm sure you can get them somehow, since AMW had worldwide viewers. www.cnn.com/CNNI/
