In Pursuit with John Walsh's Facebook page made a posting about Brown yeaterday.
Many commenters who remember him from AMW thought he was already caught and were shocked to learn he was still at large.

Also some guy without any proof to back it up is claiming Jason Brown was spotted in Chicago using the bathroom at a White.Sox game a few years ago.
I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt that he's mistaken and not a troll but there is nothing on the internet anywhere about that. But people are reacting and commenting as if to take him seriously. This is once again an example of the gullible nature of the internet as people are too lazy to look for proof when it takes five seconds to Google something to learn it isn't true. Rather than taking someone's word for it with no link to back it up.
That's not to say Chicago wouldn't be a bad hiding spot for Brown. Yes, he comes from a warm weather background but his outgoing and flamboyant nature would also fit well in a big city like Chicago, NYC etc... So ironically I actually wouldn't be that surprised if Brown has hid out or is hiding it out there.

Take it for what it is worth but all leads are leads until Brown is found: Apparently there are a few Reddit "Unresolved Mysteries" discussion threads on Brown (which by the way is unusual for them to discuss a fugitive case!), and a poster said thought they saw a guy who looked like Brown in South Africa on a Snapchat video. That's not even the weird part. The bizarre part is they saw it was Arnold Schwarzenegger's snapchat and he was taking a video next to Nelson Mandela's statue. Apparently a guy the poster felt looked Brown was in the background. According to the poster about the man "He is reluctant to show his face as Arnold pans around the camera. Twice he flinches and hides his face as the camera pans toward him." I don't have a snapchat but the Reddit post is from May 27th, 2016. Would be way back but wondering if there is a way for one of us to figure out to see that video to see if we agree the guy resembles Brown in any way. This is another fugitive I'm surprised has managed to stay on the run so long,especially since he isn't the type that is going to lay low IMO.

Yeah it boggles my mind how this guy can go on the run in modern times for 10+ years with only one confirmed sighting being one of America's 10 most wanted criminals with the FBI tracking him down intensely. Imagine the pressure one must be in when you're a Top Ten Fugitive.
I remember seeing him on AMW as a little kid and he's still managed to evade FBI searching for him, like a ghost.

Another thing: the FBI has successfully used facial recognition technology in other cases where a fugitive fled on a passport. I’m sure that they have used this in Brown’s case.

I think he could be living illegally in Canada or Mexico if he isn’t in Asia or Europe, or Brown could’ve obtained a false passport, but hasn’t used it. Heck I didn’t expect William Greer to be in Mexico and he ended up turning up there, so it’s possible Jason Derek Brown could be in Mexico, even Canada or somewhere else in Latin America. It would be ironic that given we talk about Honduras and Alexis Flores and that Brown ends up there since there are many American expats there. |

Good point about the facial recognition software. I'll send in the South Africa lead when I get a chance just in case. Even I think it's probably not Brown, but there's enough of a resemblance to do one of those be on the safe side things. As for the U.S., Brown could easily be hiding in a Mormon community anywhere in the U.S. |

Today, according to some sources, is Jason's 50th birthday.
Let's hope that by this time next year, he will be behind bars.

It's one of his two listed date of births on the FBI profile. Hard to believe if he's not 50 he's at least pushing 50 and still not caught.
