Also as far as what I remember from the e-book Jason Brown's father John owed a lot of money in gambling debts. I feel he's been long gone for a while now.

I'm not sure if this has ever been asked but is it possible that any of Brown's close friends may have been helping him hide out at one point? I was internet browsing and came across a 2011 report about an acquaintance that reported a sighting of Brown the previous year in South Salt Lake City, Utah. There was also this 2008 sighting from another acquaintance of his in the same area. Now I can't say with 100% certainty that both sightings are accurate but with Brown, I guess anything is possible at this point. www.ksl.com/?sid=14376844And the reason I looked this up is because Pakman is restarting "Fugitive of The Day" on his social media profile. So I may try to brainstorm again regarding some of the cases he profiles.

I know I sound like a broken record- but anything is possible.
This is taking nothing away from how horrible and callous Brown's crime was but it's getting to the point where I'm annoyed this case isn't closed yet based on intrigue alone.
So many interesting questions I'd like to see answered. Did he hide in plain sight in America? Was it a big city? A small city? A mormon community? Did he wind up in another country? Canada? France? Mexico? What was he doing? Was he *gasp* working? Was he living with another woman? Another man even (he is said to be bi-sexual)? Did the million to one shot that his father was still alive actually happen?
So many questions, very few answers.
Also one additional note that seems to have gotten lost that wasn't even mentioned in the Dateline special that was very thorough- if you recall the AMW re-enactments Brown was said to be a neat freak. I remember guests in his house had to take off their shoes and one line was "dude seriously straighten your placemat." Perhaps this isn't much but I figure you never know and wanted to bring it up again since it hasn't been mentioned lately.

Figured I'd bump this up because looking through the AMW archives, I realized even though I knew about it, I never actually posted the potential Jason Brown accomplice in this thread. Those of us who recall the AMW airings remmeber there was another man seen in the hotel with Jason Brown shortly after the murder of Keith Palomares. While admittedly, a grainy photo from 2005 makes this a severe long shot (even saying that may be an understatement), but I feel it should be mentioned again. Even if the guy doesn't know where Brown is hiding today, perhaps he could provide information. web.archive.org/web/20051212003248/http://www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=29538&state=other&OtherID=29960

I'm actually surprised the FBI hasn't really publicized the man in the surveillance image considering how much they want Brown caught.

I'm thinking that brown never fled the united states and probably has his primary residence in one location but is likely moving around a bit.

While I always stress he can be anywhere in the country or the world, Brown is the one guy on the list where if he's caught I'd be the least surprised if it turned out he was still in the U.S. (Besides possibly Yaser Said who despite being from Egypt has a lot of solid PI work that he may be in NYC). Brown could be using Mormon communities anywhere. He's spent time in Arizona, Utah, and California and could use those connections to be hiding in plain sight in any of those three states.

So as it always does every time it gets bumped up, this case has intrigued me to search more thanks to Bounty Hunter's post. While I agree Brown could still be in the U.S., I am still intrigued by those supposed Thailand leads. I found this post on a message board called thaivisa.com from over a year ago: "Just looking out for a struggling falang in Bangkok who may need a little bit of a reward. Rumor has it that this fugitive from USA may be walking the streets of BKK with impunity. He's notorious in the States and certainly does not deserve to be sharing the corner of Club Climax with a freelancer when he should be back in the States for committing a pathetic crime that netted him a whopping $56,000 USD." Granted it's just an internet poster, but there has to be a reason he heard this rumor. And it does make me wonder because of that article saying the U.S. has asked Thailand for help with tracking down Jason Derek Brown. While Eric Rosser was caught, Thailand sometimes does have a reputation for a popular destination for fugitives from justice, and Bangkok does have a reputation as being a hotbed for a lot of interesting nighttime activity (a freelancer is another term for prostitute). One would think if we got back Rosser, we could get back Brown. But sometimes there are complications for various reasons and while some get better, some countries may actually get worse regarding extradition laws. Once again, just a random poster on the internet (like all of us!). But I do wonder where he got the rumor Brown was walking around with impunity from. www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/668234-200000-usd-reward/

Brown was actually seen in which was his only confirmed sighting over the years. In august of 2008, an old friend of brown's pulled up to a stoplight near hogle zoo in salt lake city. The friend took a glance to the right and noticed brown in the car next to him. The two locked eyes and immidiatley brown sped up and whipped through the red light. The person noted that brown had longer hair and a deeper tan than which he was last seen. Because of this, i think that authorities really should turn the heat up in the salt lake city area.

I'm aware of that sighting and I think I mentioned that in the OP before deleting it so I could fit the more detailed AMW archive in. The FBI sent out a flyer to Mormon Communities across the U.S. warning Brown could hide among them. So I think a lot of those communities in Utah did get an alert, but it wouldn't hurt to do more, blast his face on the Salt Lake news stations a few more times, etc.

What are the chances you guys think that Brown gets aired on The Hunt?

What are the chances you guys think that Brown gets aired on The Hunt? OMG I'm so sorry I never saw this until now! In all honesty, based on The Hunt's first season- they tend to lean towards the newer additions to the MW lists- see Kevin Stoeser, Shane Miller, Brad Bishop (Rick McLean the rare exception). So I say Yaser Said has a great chance more than anyone else. And I think Robert Fisher with the family and mystery aspect is more suited to The Hunt's style than Brown (Brown has plenty of mystery too, but by now we're all somewhat familiar with some of those aspects). I'm sure they'd do an excellent job with Brown, but he's already had an hour special on Dateline: NBC along with the many times on AMW. It's just my gut instinct they'd want to expand on a guy that hasn't been expanded on yet. So anyway yeah I'd predict Said and Fisher as the two most likely. Even Fidel Urbina and Flores have not been explored in-depth yet. Of course a lot would also hinge on if the FBI asks them to air a particular case. Obviously, Said's a given. But who knows who the other would be.

Not sure if this has been brought up yet but the FBI has a French language Most Wanted poster for Jason Derek Brown. This makes me feel that authorities at least suspect he could be in France compared to a nation like Mexico since they don't have a Spanish language poster for him on their website. www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/jason-derek-brown/brown-french.pdf
