One of the better tips and reflects Brown's ability to slip away at the last minute.
There's been some debate whether Brown is lucky or smart and I think it is both.
He would have been caught right away if not for the local media jumping the story and if not for his sister (who apparently now wants to paint herself as a victim for book sales) so the manhunt for him has been frustrating because of all the near misses.
Edit: Just realized this was also the newest post in the find JDB group, which we've established is actually a credible and interesting group.

My take on this situation is that if the authorities were this hot on Brown’s tail, or at least had tips that were this good coming in, he wouldn’t have been removed from the Top 10 list. I could be wrong though, maybe they feel as if the publicity is helping him evade capture.

My feeling is whether they're close to him or not I feel the upstate ny tip is a promising and better one than usual.
Doesn't mean it is him but there's reason to be cautiously optimistic as opposed to some tips we can dismiss right away. (That Victor Idaho tip seemed really weird to me for example)

Does anyone else find it odd that Jason actually paid the guy who's truck he damaged? It shocks me that he actually went through with what he said and paid him plus gave his son a giftcard since he scared him when the damaged the truck. He was already on the run at this point so did he feel remorseful?

I don’t believe the guy knew Brown was on the run so it made perfect sense for Brown to pay him so the guy didn’t suspect him/made Brown come across as a normal guy. If he didn’t pay him it would arouse suspicion.

Do you guys think the 2008 sighting in SLC was actually him or just a look alike? If it was truly JDB you have to wonder how he's been living off the grid or how he got a car.

This has been discussed a lot but now that we are on page 32 it is understandable to bring it up again but I believe the sighting has never been confirmed by the FBI and it is still up in the air how credible it was.

Call me Crazy, I picked Jason Derek Brown my #1 AMW'S Worse Fugitives of 2005 because of his crimes and murder of innocent armored car worker which he had killed.
