Does anyone know if JDB will be featured on The Hunt? I'm surprised that he still hasn't been featured on the show... He will be eventually however it's not known when. Filming for The Hunt will likely start around Fall-Winter 2017-2018 and the only long time Top Tenners that haven't been featured are Alexis Flores, Jason Brown and Eduardo Ravelo. There are many reasons why The Hunt may be trying to hold Brown's airing on The Hunt and it's because he's had many 1 hour documentaries done on him like dateline and American Greed. Also the other reason I think they may not air Brown is to try and feature someone like Alexis Flores who murdered a 5 year old girl ( not excusing Brown for his crime) or maybe Eduardo Ravelo as he's had some new information released on him earlier this year. Again it's a guessing game and he may be featured in season 5, who knows, but I'd say stay tuned to the forum and see what Scumhunter and HeadMarshal find in the coming months about Season 5. Thanks so much man. I appreciate the info that you have given to me with all of my questions. I also wanted to thank you for the welcoming post you gave to me earlier on. 🙂I appreciate all that you do to keep us updated on these cases.

I should stress at the moment there is no indication the Hunt plans to air JDB in Season 5 or beyond. It can be assumed they will because it's a high profile case and an FBI Top 10 case, but I personally am not surprised he hasn't gotten a profile yet because of the many 1-hour documentaries already covering the case, and some FBI cases being a bit on the newer side.
However, now that it's been a few seasons and he still hasn't gotten caught I would be surprised if he didn't get at least a half hour update in the next few seasons (if The Hunt is hopefully fortunate enough to continue).

We could be discussing something as popular as Game of Thrones and I'd still say "if hopefully fortunate to continue" about their future seasons because I never like to take anything for granted.

I can't believe I didn't know this since up until now I felt Brown was the top ten fugitive I knew the most about, but Brown apparently had an ex-wife.
His ex-wife has told friends she thinks Brown is dead and authorities have not yet properly identified.
Lance Leising, the FBI agent interviewed, says that he is familiar with the theory and there has actually been several DNA tests on unidentified bodies, but none have been a match to Brown.
On one hand it would make sense that Brown would be deceased considering how fruitless the search has been for him for over a dozen years. And his ex-wife *possibly* has no reason to lie (I guess it depends on how cordial their relationship and breakup was).
At the same time, there was the sighting in Salt Lake City in 2008 and several sightings although not proven since.
I think when a case as tragic goes on for as long as it has we *hope* the culprit is deceased because it's too depressing to think he or she is living the high life and getting away with it. That thinking may sometimes cloud our judgment.
However, while it is possible Brown is deceased, I tend to lean towards him being alive, and likely in a foreign country.
I feel Brown, based on how he's been described, was too in love with himself to harm himself and commit suicide. (That's not to say he couldn't have died via other causes or accidentally).

The Dateline Documentary I think mentioned Brown had an ex wife. But if you look at it, Brown and his ex wife breaking up and his financial woes happening around the same time it wouldn’t surprise me if he was possibly depressed as was mentioned by the 2009 discovery documentary of the FBI Top Ten

I think they said he could have a wife by now but I don't recall them mentioning an ex-wife. Perhaps they did.
In any case, Brown was DEFINITELY depressed before he allegedly shot and killed Keith Palomares according to what's been reported.
But there's a huge difference between being depressed and killing yourself. Brown allegedly tried to solve his depression by shooting and killing an innocent person for what is in retrospect a paltry amount of money.

Jason Derek Brown’s press release from his addition in 2007: Phoenix Murder Fugitive Added to FBI’s List of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives Washington, D.C. December 08, 2007 FBI National Press Office (202) 324-3691 A fugitive from Phoenix, wanted for the November 29, 2004, murder and robbery of an armored car guard, has been added to the FBI’s List of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives. Jason Derek Brown allegedly encountered the guard, Robert Keith Palomares, who was exiting a Phoenix movie theater with more than $56,000 in cash. Brown fired six rounds from a .45 caliber handgun at close range, striking Palomares at least five times in the head. Brown grabbed the guard’s money bag and fled on a mountain bike through an adjacent alley. The victim died at the scene. On December 4, 2004, an Arizona state arrest warrant was issued by the Superior Court of the state of Arizona, County of Maricopa, charging Jason Derek Brown with first degree murder and armed robbery. Two days later, Brown was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution in a federal arrest warrant, issued by the United States District Court, District of Arizona. “This is a case we feel is of the magnitude to meet Top Ten status,” said Special Agent in Charge John E. Lewis. “The subject, Jason Derek Brown, violently took the life of a young father doing his job. This subject deserves to be brought to justice.” Jason Derek Brown is described as a White male, 38 years old, 5’10, 170 to 180 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes. He speaks fluent French and has a master’s degree in International Business, which enables him to assimilate into a foreign community. He is an avid golfer, snowboarder, skier, and dirt biker. Brown enjoys being the center of attention and is known to frequent nightclubs and show off his high-priced vehicles, boats, and other toys. He has been described as possibly having bisexual tendencies, and has a history of using false identifications. He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous. Jason Derek Brown is the 489th person to be placed on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list, which was established in March of 1950. Since then, 458 fugitives have been apprehended or located, 150 of them as a result of citizen cooperation. Brown replaces Diego Leon Montoya Sanchez, who was captured on September 10, 2007. A reward of up to $100,000 is being offered for any information leading directly to the arrest of Jason Derek Brown. Individuals with information concerning Brown should take no action themselves, but instead immediately contact the nearest office of the FBI or local law enforcement agency. For any possible sighting outside the United States, contact the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Additional information concerning Brown and the FBI’s List of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives can be found by visiting www.fbi.gov. archives.fbi.gov/archives/news/pressrel/press-releases/phoenix-murder-fugitive-added-to-fbi2019s-list-of-ten-most-wanted-fugitives

The actual court complaint document charging Brown with murder appears in Google searches now: www.documentcloud.org/documents/3446643-Jason-Derek-Brown-Criminal-Complaint.htmlSurprisingly it lists his social security number but obviously Brown wouldn't be stupid enough to try and use it. (Fellow top tenner William Bradford Bishop has his social security number published on the Doe Network). I checked the free SS look-up site and for what it's worth Brown's SS is said to have been issued in California in the year 1986- he would have been just 17 years old at the time.

Brown is nearing 13 years since he murdered Keith Palomares and nearing his 10th anniversary on the FBI Top Ten (times really does fly and worst of all with no resolution).
The FBI increased his bounty nearly 5 years ago to $200,000 and I wonder if Brown’s reward needs to go any higher to $500,000 or $1,000,000 or if it’s time to update his age progressed images, or Both?

They already increased the reward and he seems to be the fugitive who gets the most tips (although still not caught)- so I don't think it's necessary. $200,000 is still a lot of money for anyone to turn him in. As far as age-progression goes, I guess couldn't hurt, but some other cases may be more due.
Changing subject a bit- but one theory I want to bring up- does anyone think it's possible Brown may have children or at least a child by now?
I realize it goes against the "Playboy lifestyle" stereotype but Brown would now be in his 40's. If he's with an unsuspecting woman as the two FBI agents interviewed on Dateline think is possible, then who knows if he settled down, has a family now etc... One thing about Brown is he ran those toy companies and seemed to like and be good with children. (Not defending him at all, just that he seemed to like and get along with children in an innocent and non-criminal way).
The thought of Brown having a family of his own when Keith Palomares never got to start one himself is pretty depressing, but imo unfortunately a possibility.

Well here’s a hypothesis, That’s actually something I think is possible and the woman would have had to have been in her 20s and would’ve met Brown not long after he went on the run. Put it that Brown got with this woman in her 20s around 2006 or 2008 and had 2 or 3 kids within the last 10 years. My guesses for thinking the woman would have been someone in their 20s is because Brown may have been attracted to younger women and when they have children she won’t look as old as Brown after a few kids. Women tend to look older than they are after having a children. Today Brown’s girlfriend or wife (in hypothesis) would be in her 30s today so she would have been born sometime between the late 1970s to the mid 1980s I don’t know if this is too far off or if some people are lost with what I’m trying to say?

I just felt he could be with any woman with children- I wasn't going as in depth as you did although your reasoning somewhat makes sense lol. It's also entirely possible he met a woman who already had kids.

Lol maybe a single 20-30 year old mom with children, But if that’s the case, then those kids would be much older like about pre teen or early teenage today as of 2017. Again I’m speaking as I’ve it were in 2006 or 2008 that Jason Brown met someone.
