Finally finished updating all the 2020-2023 captures for our forum-exclusive fugitives. This unfortunately looks like a project I'll have to do from time time since online media does a crappy job at updating when fugitives are captured on their own. Well done scumhunter, thanks for all your hard work and effort in maintaining this website.

Guys it is important to not panic when every now and then- someone is upset about the coverage of a fugitive on our site.
99 percent of people are grateful but there will be the one percent unsatisfied.
For those who didn't see it, a person claimed a fugitive accused of child molestation was innocent and were falsely accused.
I could no longer find the fugitive on the county most wanted page listing and description for where they were previously listed. Even though I didn't have to, I deleted the thread since perhaps the charges were dropped or the fugitive was caught based on that. I didn't have to but when it seems a fugitive is caught or resolved anyway, I will allow benefit of the doubt and/or deletion for a fair trial if people feel the charges are unfair and this site will give unfair bias for jurors who aren't supposed to but Google cases anyway.
However because the person threw a tamper tantrum instead of being mature about it, they were banned.
It happens. Don't freak out.

It's ok I didn't want to give in since they threatened to sue the "side" - it's hard to be afraid of someone who can't even type english- but if the fugitive is caught or resolved anyway its not worth the annoyance of temper tantrums.

Thanks. I used to be a nervous neurotic person but overall I've reached a time in life where I'm just done with people's bullsh*t lol

Some of you may have noticed we've had two cases of the week two weeks in a row, there really isn't a rhyme or reason to this other than due to In Pursuit being delayed, I figure it doesn't hurt to do some more coverage than usual. Or if a fugitive comes up in my schedule that's a cold case or has already had tv coverage, that week is more weekly to include a more recent and/or exclusive fugitive to balance things out (if a more recent fugitive comes up, perhaps it will be only them) or honestly whatever I feel like for the week. Next week may have two fugitives again or just one, depends on what comes up, case requests etc..
So yeah for those confused in summary, fugitive of the week from now on may be just one but can possibly be two fugitives as well from now on.

While I appreciate wanting to help, one thing driving me crazy lately is the amount of people registering or emailing with messages like "he's in Mexico" or "I know where he is" without mention of who they're referring to. And of course they never reply back when I ask who they're talking about. Granted I always stress this site doesn't take tips, but we can still lead them in the right direction of who to contact. (And I know for a fact our site is responsible for many captures, we just rarely get credited except for a few instances, I'm still kinda pissed we didnt get any credit for helping to capture Diaya Hamid in Australia, for example).
Once again if you want to add your knowledge and/or tips on a case, I appreciate it but please for the love of goodness tell us what the case is lol

It's possibly too early but I'm already working on my top 20 of 2023 list. Usually there's like five or six cases you all can argue could be #1, but this year and I consider it sad and not a good problem to have- it is like I could justify my entire list- all 20 cases being #1. There's also so many mass shooting cases- triple homicides or one or two dead and five wounded type cases and none of them really stand out from the other- theyre all equally bad and you cant say one is worse (not that I talk like that anyway- they all need to be caught). I think right now my deciding factor would be if we have any forum members personally involved with us in any of the cases since I'd want to do right by them but I'm actually disgusted and not pleased at how horribly competitive my list is right now.

Some of you may be confused because- while not condoning it- I don't really place a high-priority on fugitives wanted for drug related cases on our site- and have complained about the FBI website sort of treating the top ten list (although they've gotten much better lately) like it's the 80s and adding drug kingpins over more catchable domestic murder and child molestation fugitives- and adding too many drug fugitives over domestic fugitives in general- yet I've been adding some of their drug fugitives from the site.
I'm going to be honest- part of my job as admin I feel is to generate membership for discussion and a large number of people become posters here as a result of Googling FBI cases and finding them on our site.- so it's really more an analytics thing in adding cases from the FBI website regardless of personal opinions- and also this is a discussion forum so FBI cases still generate discussion no matter what a fugitive is wanted for.
I hope that all made sense lol.
I will say though while I don't care about marijuana kingpins so much- it's becoming increasingly legal or decriminalized- fentanyl is an epidemic that is not talked about enough- so much so I would actually be for a large scale fentanyl dealer to be added to the list.
And yeah sorry if I sound like a broken record- drug fugitives are bad guys too that need to be caught as well- it's a matter of where my personal priorities are when choosing cases for the site and not excusing their crimes.

Not sure where is the appropriate place to post this... I know I have a *potentially* (although it seems most agree) controversial opinion that *most* of the was it a suicide/accident or murder cases on true crime shows are in fact suicides/accidents and their loved ones- sorry to say- are in denial.
I am not that close minded and realize there are exceptions.
However, it bugs me at what cases these shows choose. Disappeared showed Sydney West- imo a clear cut suicide case as the first episode of its past season. Its not even so much that I feel an episode wasted- but why not move that to later on in the season rather than have your first case a potentially already solved one?
Unsolved Mysteries did that too for their last season. And when they finally had a case where I finally agreed it was homicide and not suicide, the likely killer was long deceased anyway. Yes you'd like final closure but still.
I totally think there are exceptions to the rule, but true crime shows try to hard to focus on intrigue rather than more solvable cases in my opinion.

Hector Medina-Grajeda and Ismaeel Mendes Ordones will likely be the last fugitives of the week for 2023 as next week will be the start of the holiday season. Also, I will shift the focus to finishing my top 20 of 2023 most wanted list. As it stands, Sean Williams would be my #1 at the moment but I hope it doesn't have to come to that in light of the recent sightings. 2-20 will be difficult however. Whether there will be dishonorable mentions or not again depends on timing.

Just wanted to mention that until January is usually busy season at work if the amount of cases I post isn’t as much as usual. In addition to that I also have been working on my 2023 most wanted list and also prepping for In Pursuit Season 5 which begins filming next month (AMW comes back as well but obviously whatever is happening there is a mystery still)
I always realize I take more time commenting about being busy than actually being busy sometimes but this is just a warning in case the case load isn’t as much lol.

I've put together a work-in-progress for my most wanted fugitives by season of '023, with the rest of this month as opportunities to capture and replace with fugitives I've thus far left off. No objection if you post a lighter caseload this month. There's always the month after.
