Yes! It'll be so great to see those three back in action again!
Also, as someone originally from Chicago, I'm excited that Tamron Hall is hosting the show. She's a former reporter for the city's FOX affiliate. She now works for the national NBC network (and I actually met her in New York City a couple years back).

Is there any hope that still wanted AMW fugitives will be profiled on Tamron Hall's show, considering Morris, Sigona and Hartman will be featured guests. One can surely dream.

Is there any hope that still wanted AMW fugitives will be profiled on Tamron Hall's show, considering Morris, Sigona and Hartman will be featured guests. One can surely dream. It seems these are looks into already solved cases such as Sarah Pender (although she's now fighting to get out of prison), and Shasta Groene. But we can still hope perhaps they'll take a look at some fugitive cases.

Only slightly off-toipic I'm at home watching the ID channel and just saw an ad from John Walsh promoting internet safety for the ID channel. As I said I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but I do find it kind of peculiar he's doing all these promos for Discovery or the ID channel and his former correspondents get their own show with the channel.

This is getting rather suspicious. Investigation Discovery, what are you guys up to?

As I've said before, not trying to get my hopes up. But it seems they are at the very least new bff's.

Ok. Now I see a post from AMW's executive-in-charge where he's wearing a Shark Week hat. So let's recap this order of events: -John Walsh tapes a promo for Shark Week -Many AMW correspondents hired for new show -John Walsh does internet safety ad for ID -AMW exec has Shark Week hat on on The old saying goes fool me once... Perhaps there is nothing to look into and Discovery just happened to become friendlier with Walsh after the Lifetime cancellation. Perhaps there's nothing more to this. I'm just saying on the off-chance they're up to something, I figured it out first.

So saw the show and I have some good news and bad news: The bad news- no former AMW correspondent was on Deadline: Crime tonight! According to the article, it says "throughout the series" so hopefully they do show up. Otherwise, perhaps they're just "contributors" The good news- It was an excellent show. The theme was "Where Are They Now?" The first case was about the murder of Ruth Pyne. Pyne was in a seemingly happy marriage with her husband that went downhill once she was suddenly diagnosed with adult onset bipolar disorder. She's found dead one day and everyone assumes its' suicide because of her condition and often refusal to take her medication. It turns out she was murdered. Police initially suspect her husband who admits to cheating but soon all roads lead to her son Jeffrey. He was in constant arguments with his mother that resulted in being physically attacked by her, and she also disapproved of his girlfriend. Jeffrey has a poor alibi and a strange cut on his hand on the day of the Ruth's death, and an odd reaction to being told she was murdered in the recorded interview. He is convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to 20-60 years, but his father and family maintain his innocence. That case took up most of the show. The last 10 minutes dealt with the legal trouble of infamous "Preppy Killer" Robert Chambers who was charged with the murder of Jennifer Levin in Central Park back in 1988. He infamously tried to use the "rough sex" defense claiming he killed her accidentally because she was getting too aggressive during sex and was "molesting her." With a jury taking unusually long to decide, Prosecutors offer Chamber a plea deal, and he accepts serving 5-15 years. Due to him getting in trouble for various offenses while in jail, he serves the full 15 years. After he gets out, he can't stay out of trouble, going in and out of prison before his latest arrest in 2007. After him and his girlfriend are caught selling crack to undercover agents outside his apartment, he's sentenced to 19 years in prison. Ironically, he's given a harsher sentence for that than the one he got for killing Levin. I would say the show actually had a similar theme to John Walsh Investigates. Newsmagazine-ish and true crime-oriented but with an intense feel to it. The show was also pretty much interview-focused and driven as opposed to information-driven. Hall was on the scene interviewing everyone involved on all sides, and I could see why she's a rising talent. (Perhaps she'd even make a great candidate to take over for John Walsh if AMW comes back and he retires I just hope we see Tom Morris, Michelle Sigona, and Angeline Hartmann actually on sometime!

Angeline Hartman was on the show last night! So I guess periodically we'll see some of our former AMW favorites. She was interviewing three kids from an infamous New Jersey "hell house" case where their adoptive parents neglected, beat, and nearly starved them to death. There were four children overall. The oldest one is now in an assisted living facility, but the three other boys have thrived and started a non-profit for children to report neglect and abuse.

Tom Morris was on this week's show! (He was interviewing Ray Krone- a twice-convicted death row inmate who was later freed when DNA proved another man did the murder he was accused of) So they will be showing up periodically!

Michelle Sigona will be interviewing Sarah Pender this Sunday on Deadline: Crime. Let's see if Pender stays in the interview room unlike the time she talked to fellow AMW alum Jon Lieberman.
They seem to be doing the AMW correspondents in rotation!
