The documentary "The Price of Honor" pretty much confirms and shows his family helped him, and also that they helped his fugitive sister take her non-custodial children in 1999. (In that case Yaser's cousin (or brother, I forget but obviously a relative) got her into Toronto and eventually to Egypt).

If he is back in Egypt he will never be captured.

Especially with the political situation I don't think he fled there or is taking advantage of the chaos to live under the radar... one or the other is happening with this guy. But I'm not convinced he's in Egypt as Scumhunter has stated.... Yaser Said or one of his relatives has a P.O. Box in Rochester, NY (correct me if I'm wrong)

John Walsh seemed to express confidence they could get Said even in Egypt because America's Most Wanted had located a fugitive and Egypt agreed to arrest and extradite him in the past. (This was an alleged fugitive rapist Doctor but it was also in the early 90's).
So perhaps the pressure from the top 10 list and added publicity would inspire Egypt to act more than if they would in the past, but I agree it would be a more difficult capture than in the past.
There has been evidence of Yaser having a P.O. box in Westchester, NY while one of the producers of the "Price of Honor" documentary claimed to have spotted him hiding in plain sight in Texas and mentioned how he has many relatives in Texas and California who could help him hide.

I decided to bump Yaser Said to the top here just because, but I have to say I agreed with what Scumhunter had said back on JDB's thread saying that Said gives Brown some competition in terms of coverage as they have been extensively covered in the media, they both are believed to be here in the United States and also overseas. Brown was last seen in Oregon and Said was last seen in Texas and the trail goes cold from there.

Just a technical note that stickying or "pinning" a thread means the moderator pins the topic to the top of a section so it can not go further down on the list of topics even if someone adds a more recent reply to in another thread in the same section. The term for replying to a topic so it's at the top temporarily is "bumping." So here the correct term would be bumping. I know I usually private message about these types of things but it's a minor mistake and not big a deal to be embarrassed about and I wanted to explain publicly since I use the word "sticky" often on this forum especially when The Hunt is in season and I sticky that week's case. In any case I realize when talking about publicity I keep forgetting about William Bradford Bishop so it's somewhat of a three-way tie between the three fugitives.

It is a three-way tie with Bishop, but I doubt he can be caught. Brown and Said are eminently catchable.

Agreed. I never give up hope an anyone even Bishop but Said and Brown are obviously a lot more likely to be caught.

I also had forgotten Bishop as well and I agree there is a 3 way tie between the 3 of them, Yaser I think would be the easier one to be captured as they could get intelligence on him based on the fact that his brothers have been declining to speak to the media and also because of the P.O. Box in Westchester, NY

The North Africa theory I figured would also apply much better to Yaser Said since Egypt is in that region.
If Yaser possibly fled to Egypt in 2008, he would have been forced to leave due to the instability in the country in 2011 and likely went to Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia or even the United Arab Emirates, those countries are very beautiful, so I could imagine him being there to hide in plain sight.

I really do hope this guy is caught, such an evil man. I hope so too, the guy has been out there for nearly 9 years. The good thing is that I have confidence that Yaser Said can be caught sometimes soon.

We're very late but Said has been on the run 9 years now as of January 1, 2017. Hopefully he's the next pre 2015 fugitive to go down through capture.

Just a note that sometime this week Crime Watch Daily will cover the Said manhunt. I'll post the video segment once they upload it.
