With the coming of 2017, it also means that Flores has been on the list a good decade almost and nearly 17 years on the run.
This case needs to be put back in the spotlight, either age progressed photos of him need to be created, or they need to do investigative work with Honduran authorities to see if he's been incarcerated over there.
How is it that Robert Fisher, wanted for a longer period of time gets 2 sets of age enhanced photos? Or Jason Brown who was on the run 6 years when his were created? Eddie Ravelo also has his own and Yaser Said, and Flores hasn't had any done yet?
what's the deal with Flores not getting his?
In 2017 this is one of those fugitives I want to see caught, a decade is long enough for him.

Technically DNA didn't match Flores to Iriana DeJesus's murder until after he was deported and this was in the year 2007. So it's really been more like 10 years, but I agree, still long enough that hopefully they produce a new age-enhanced sketch.

A sketch would help at least, but since technically he's out of our reach he may have also gotten in and out of jail there like Fidel Urbina or may have served an actual prison sentence over there under an assumed name IMO.
912th was the one that pointed that out awhile back and I have to agree because the guy had pornography stashed everywhere and his fridge was loaded with Kool-aid (unless he really liked it), but it leads me to believe he wanted to lure another child in potentially, while he was in Arizona in 2004/2005 before he was deported.

I wonder how this new administration will handle the Alexis Flores case and the U.S. Honduras extradition treaty.

It's still the same FBI director (for now at least lol). I think the fugitive catching will have more to do with the FBI than the administration, except for certain countries like Cuba where the marginally improved relations could in theory deteriorate again.

Flores has now been on the FBI's ten most wanted list for exactly 10 years now. The only other fugitive on the list for a decade is Robert Fisher.

I think there might be a reason why age progressed photos of Flores haven’t been released and it could make sense.
I think the FBI knows exactly where Flores is, because people probably are speaking up because they see the internet and saying his family lives in a certain town or region, but the only issue is probably getting the Honduran government to act.
Which would explain a lot as to why a fugitive on the FBI Top Ten on the list for 10 years hasn’t had any age progressed photos released at all. Usually the age progressed photos are reserved for individuals where they genuinely don’t know where they are.

I guess it's possible but I honestly don't believe it's the case.
I do believe Flores is in Honduras, may not be as in hiding as it seems, but the Honduran government needs to be pressured still.
I'm not condoning their crimes but it saddens me that the country seems to care more about fugitives who sell a tiny amount of drugs more than a guy that allegedly raped and murdered a little girl. (AND Berny Figueroa is probably hiding there as well)

Have there been any potential sightings of Alexis Flores that you guys have heard about?

No, but it's long been believed that Flores is likely in Honduras because it's where he's from and where he was deported before he was linked to the murder of Iriana DeJesus.

Alexis Flores’s press release from his addition in 2007: New Top Ten Fugitive Suspect in 2000 Philadelphia Murder 06/02//07 Alexis Flores A Honduran man suspected in the strangling death of a 5-year-old girl in Philadelphia seven years ago has been added to our Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. Alexis Flores, a convicted felon, is linked to the crime scene by DNA evidence. His addition to our Most Wanted list raises the reward for information leading to his arrest up to $100,000. Flores, who also goes by the names Mario Flores, Mario Roberto, and Alex Contreras, is 5 feet four inches tall and weights 130 to 140 pounds. He has scars on his forehead and right cheek. Flores is believed to be 31 years old, though he has used dates of birth ranging from 1975 to 1982. An itinerant worker with ties to Honduras and a criminal history that stretches to Arizona, Flores is believed to have lived in the apartment building where young Iriana DeJesus’s body was discovered on August 3, 2000. The girl had been reported missing six days earlier, on July 29. She was last seen with a Hispanic male who allegedly told people he was from Honduras and was seeking work and a place to stay. Flores allegedly disappeared from the area at the same time the girl was reported missing. Few solid leads emerged until earlier this year, when our Philadelphia field office was notified that a DNA sample from an Arizona convict matched evidence taken at the Philadelphia crime scene. The convict, Alexis Flores, served time in Arizona on a forgery charge and was deported to Honduras following his release in 2005. Philadelphia authorities issued an arrest warrant on March 22 charging Flores with the 2000 murder and various other felonies related to the case. Flores is the 487th fugitive to be added to the Most Wanted list since its creation in 1950. He replaces Shauntay Henderson, an alleged Kansas City gang member and murder suspect who was captured March 31, the same day she was added to the list. Flores should be considered armed and dangerous. If you have information you believe may be helpful to the investigation, contact our Philadelphia office or submit a tip on our Tips and Public Leads page. Note: The individuals pictured or identified here may have been apprehended or may no longer be wanted by law enforcement since the above information was posted on this website. Please check our Wanted by the FBI website or contact your local FBI office for up-to-date information. archives.fbi.gov/archives/news/stories/2007/june/wanted_060207

Here’s another theory of what could have happened to Flores. In this scenario, there’s the possibility that if Flores reoffended, and raped the wrong persons woman (wife or girlfriend of a drug kingpin or notorious gang member), they may order a hit to kill Flores and he probably may have been deceased for several years at this point.

Although unfortunately the probability that Flores could have reoffended is there (these alleged sickos never stop), I feel like we would have found out somehow if he's no longer alive. The problem is him being likely in Honduras.

Just wanted to bump this up since FBI fugitive Eric Conn, wanted for financial crimes, was arrested in Honduras and expected to be extradited back right away.
The main difference here is Conn was not a citizen, and if you Google Honduras and extradition/fugitives in recent years, they actually have sent fugitives wanted for murder etc... back to us. But they weren't natives.
However, the problem is when the fugitive, like Flores, is a native of Honduras, as it seems the improved cooperation is mainly for drug-related fugitives.
Still an FBI fugitive was captured in Honduras so hopefully it gives some glimmer of hope.
