It's understandable that Fisher has been removed as awful as I feel about the case since it's been twenty years and he still hasn't been located. At least he's still on the overall site. I've believed he's been alive all these years but after seeing how finding Brian Laundrie's body proved to be a more difficult task than it should have been- it's completely possible they missed Fisher in the Tonto National Forest after all.

Yeah it's understandable to "give up" (top ten list wise) after 20 years, although it is ironic Victor Gerena still holds the record for longest time on the list before being removed without capture since I'm sorry but this case is so much worse.

Going more in-depth about why this happened, it seemed like the FBI itself has been debating it for awhile according to John Heinzelman, the current Detective on the case, and informed him last week that Robert Fisher was going to be removed. Detective Heinzelman receives 3 tips a week or about 100 leads a year, even as recently as moments before an Arizona Republic journalist called him about Fisher being removed from the Top Ten List. amp.azcentral.com/amp/6270056001

I’m surprised Fisher’s removal got a lot of publicity compared to the last 4 fugitives that were removed from 2015-2018. The Fisher case is still a big deal IMO and I think everyone feels the same way given how messed up it really was.
Not all hope is lost with Fisher, we all know he’s an FBI fugitive, but I feel like later on (most likely in 3-5 years if nothing pans out), perhaps the FBI could either ask the Marshals for help or hand the case over to them, and Robert Fisher could be added to the U.S. Marshals Top 15 most wanted in a way to get more tips, and the reason I say this is given how much publicity his removal garnered.

Unfortunately I don't think I have ever heard of a fugitive being removed from one list only to be added to another. I will give the USMS list credit for having more variety than the FBI lately so I guess you never know.

I should clarify there have been times when fugitive cases transferred agencies, just I've never seen someone on the FBI Top 10 list removed and then becomes a USMS Top 15er or vice versa.

youtu.be/TK95qDveMakInterestingly, the Prosecutor who charged Fisher with the three homicides no longer believes he’s alive. Does everyone else think they have information supporting this conclusion or that the passage of time indicates that?

I think I remember seeing this. I think it probably just seems based on the passage of time as opposed to having any tangible evidence Fisher is dead. Is it tough since if he is dead, his remains will likely never be found.

This may sound weird, and I’m not sure I shared this, but I feel like now that Fisher has come off the list, it’ll be a lot more likely for him to get caught and I say this for a reason.
Being a fugitive on one of the most well known lists for 20 years will make him be on his guard non stop and will be less likely to make a mistake, however, if he’s still alive, the mistake he could make is if he begins to lower his guard, knowing he’s no longer on the Top Ten List, and the pressure that comes with a $100,000
I personally was disappointed he got removed, but there is a reason to hope he can still get caught.

If he's still alive, he knows he's a very sought after man regardless of if he's on the list or not. That's not to say he can't make a mistake. Every law enforcement official ever interviewed on AMW or In Pursuit always say the same thing when hunting a fugitive- they fugitive has to be lucky every day. The agent tracking him only has to be lucky once. But I think the letting his guard down if he did wouldn't have anything to do with the list but as you alluded to sometimes they get too relaxed regardless.

Today is unfortunately the 21st anniversary since the Fisher Family murders and it’s the first anniversary that Fisher isn’t apart of the FBI Top Ten List.
I do think one day we will find out what actually happened to Robert Fisher, whether he’s found deceased or is found living a quiet life somewhere in California, Nevada, Arizona or New Mexico, and I bring up those states because I honestly have overlooked these locations, but it makes sense he’s in these states given his familiarity.

you know what, at this point really anything would be nice... Been way too long since we have heard a thing publicly about this case.. I really do still have major curiosity about what that guy in Canada looks like who was mistaken for Fisher.. Fishers neighbor was 100% positive it was him when seeing him face to face... Weird how this world works

Let’s assume Fisher is alive and is being hidden by someone how much reward money do you think someone would have to offer to get that person to come forward? I’ve said many times that if someone would just offer a $5 million or more for one these guys someone who knows where they are would come forward.

I'm of the school that believes he's no longer alive but it would be good to have answers either way. Just not sure if we'll get them.
