We all know the FBI could take up to a year before they replace Octaviano Juarez-Corro, but usually it takes them 2/3/4 months to replace one fugitive with another on the list. It’ll be 3 months since the capture of Juarez-Corro in a few weeks and apart from some of the contenders we’ve discussed in recent months, The FBI may add a fugitive to coincide with the anniversary of a crime, like they’ve done in recent years with Luis Macedo, Bhadreshkumar Patel, & Arnoldo Jimenez.
The only 2 fugitives, who fit the bill for inclusion on the top ten list I can think of, off the top of my head at the moment with anniversaries coming up in the coming weeks are Bob Tang (May 2017; will be 5 years), and Joe Constance (June 2011; will be 11 years), which will be great additions if one of them is added.
However then we have Abel Acosta, a 14 year old triple murderer wanted out of Texas, who IMO is a really terrible dude, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the FBI were add him or even having to once again remove a current Top Ten Fugitive to make room for Acosta, unless the List is only reserved for a fugitive after they turn 18 like what happened with Alejandro Castillo, committed a murder in August 2016 at age 17, turned 18 in November 2016, and then was added to the Top Ten List in October 2017 weeks prior to his 19th birthday.
I say this last part about Acosta, because it seems the FBI has been publicizing Bhadreshkumar Patel and Yulan Carias, which may indicate something, but I’m not entirely sure, if anyone wants to give their 2 cents about this feel free, but also when the Top Ten List gets quiet (by not even mentioning the 72nd anniversary this year) the FBI usually debates whether they want to remove a fugitive from the list, just like they did recently with Robert Fisher.

Acosta is on our site. amwfans.com/thread/12324/abel-elias-acosta-texas-2021As for the FBI adding him, I'm not sure, it would be the the first time in history they added a juvenile suspect. He's a danger to the public based on what he allegedly did, but not sure they'd want to add a teenager. Even I am wondering if Acosta is still at large at the end of 2022 if I'd make him my personal #1 Most Wanted (since he is currently in the running as such) as it would be weird to have a teenager on the front page of the forum for the two or three weeks I usually leave them up there.

I’m adding Robert Morales to my list of possible candidates. It’s this sentence that really makes me suspect he’s about to be added, “ Morales is believed to be a member of the Coronado clique of Mara Salvatrucha-13 (MS-13), a violent Hispanic gang. He has a long criminal history including several assaults, burglary, narcotics transportation, and domestic violence.”

It will be interesting as we're approaching summer without a replacement for Juarez-Corro just yet. It's a wide open race in my opinion, and we've seen some surprises in the past few years as well.
For some reason I have this feeling/psychic sense (even though I usually am skeptical of psychics lol) it's going to be someone not even on the the site that comes out of nowhere (not the typical drug trafficking fugitive either- just a domestic case but unexpected).

The most recent addition as of today was the guy that got Robert Fisher removed, the most notorious fugitive to have been on the Top Ten List in the last several years, and whoever they choose going forward, while understanding the fact that the there isn’t too many recent cases that are similar to Robert Fisher in terms of brutality, it will be someone who is brutal in their own way whether it’s a murderer or sex crimes fugitive. I do agree this current case selection to replace Octaviano Juarez-Corro is a very wide range in not only that it’s between on-site and off-site fugitives, but also cold cases and recent fugitives, and big notorious fugitives and lesser known fugitives. All and all it doesn’t matter who they add, as long as they pick someone who is deserving and they feel they can capture at the end of the day.

At the moment I think the FBI adding a recent case from 2021/2022 or a cold case where they’ve found more photographs or developed new information (William Willingham or Joe Constance) is the direction the FBI has to go at least for now as the other 9 even though they are all catchable, have proven to be difficult as of late.

Would add this guy to list of potential replacements for Octaviano Juarez-Corro should a UFAP warrant be issued for him: Vangereil Dretreckes MillerI'm confused by the long lag time adding replacements that we've seen over the last decade. I first took an interest in the Ten Most Wanted List back in 2001 - a very productive year for captures. Every time someone was captured, there seemed to be a replacement lined up, whereas this seems not to be the case these days, in spite of there being plenty of fugitives out there who seem a good fit. Would be interested to know why other users think this is - has the List simply become less of a priority, or is there some other reason?

I know we blame covid on everything but usually there is a process where each field office nominates a candidate and perhaps short staffing etc... has made the process longer than usual.
Usually seeking law enforcement assistance fugitives dont have UFAPs but if Miller gets one he's a prime candidate.

And I checked and confirmed Miller currently doesn't have a UFAP warrant (sorry was being cheap since I was reaching my 30 dollar free quota but I'm like this one is worth it haha)

Can anyone tell I've been in complete disagreement with like nearly every addition in the past 2 years? Haha
I want to clarify I think the FBI does a great job. I just completely disagree with the direction they're going with the top ten list and how they've used it lately.

I just completely disagree with the direction they're going with the top ten list and how they've used it lately. The only thing I liked about this particular addition is that it’s a woman for a change, and I only think this addition is interesting from an observation, not saying this addition was good or bad. I also must point out that last month, Ignatova was placed on Europe’s Most Wanted List, so they’re clearly tackling a more international aspect to the list. I must point out that since I left the country I have also been in the dark as far as the news and all I’ve heard since I’ve been back is cryptocurrency among other things unless that’s why this addition happened.

I think HeadMarshal hit the nail on the head in that the FBI hasn't been profiling enough domestic fugitives in general, not iist the top ten list. When they do its usually a seeking law enforcement assistance case that doesn't have a UFAP warrant. They've gotten a little too criminal enterprise happy when they could be catching a lot of at home fugitives if they profiled them.
