Weird press conference scheduled for 1pm central time. From what I was able to gather, the FBI, US Marshals, Texas Department of Public Safety and local Austin, Texas authorities are launching an investigation into the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List. Why the FBI is investigating it's own most wanted list doesn't make any sense to me so perhaps I'm mis-interpreting what's going on. kxan.com/2016/12/13/fbi-in-austin-looking-for-texans-on-top-10-most-wanted-list/

I can only guess the wording of the article could be better and that it's about new leads and/or trying to renew publicity for either Ravelo and/or Said who are both mentioned.

Well ur on point and the article seems to be going there too. My guess is it either has to do with JDB or Robert Fisher, which turns out they've been traced. Yaser Said or even Eduardo Ravelo for that matter could finally be caught now. Perhaps they think Macedo is living in Texas. That's the only reason why they would address it.

The only other scenario I can think of is a new addition from Austin.

The press conference will be in less than a hour (it's already 1 PM on the East Coast but they're referring to Central time)

I'll have to check whose wanted from Austin, any breaking news cases or a federal fugitive for that matter.

Also if they are investigating the Ten Most Wanted it would lead me to think they found out one of the current fugitives has been located, but again the idea of a new addition isn't strange since its December.

It crossed my mind about a capture but I didn't want to get my hopes up so I purposely withheld that thought. Marlon Jones addition came out of nowhere though so if there is a breaking-news type fugitive from Austin, he/she might not be known just yet. It's probably about new leads or renewing publicity but we'll see for sure at 2 PM.

Also, it's not out of the question one of the fugitives from the top 10 list may be announced as deceased. The last time I remember wording being this ominous was when the Marshals announced Kevin Stoeser was dead. This is all speculation at this point so I'm looking forward to seeing what the development is.

The only 4 I'm guessing have been traced are Said, Brown, Fisher or Macedo and that's why they are doing this PRS CONF in terms of captures. The other reason is likely to increase the bounty for either Yaser or Ravelo. New leads have come in about both. And finally a new addition will happen today replacing Fidel Urbina.

I like the increased bounty theory.
I hope this ominousness lives up to the hype LOL.

After all this it could be something relatively lame like "we're partnering to look for fugitives in the Austin, although we don't have any leads placing them there, Austin is a big city with lots of places for fugitives to hide out..." LOL. But we'll see.

A new article says it's about one the cases on the top 10 list, and family members of "the victim" will make a statement. This is kind of significant since Yaser Said had two victims and Ravelo has multiple alleged victims from his alleged drug activities. The article says victim like it's just one. So this may be about one of the other seven remaining still at large fugitives and the city of Austin playing a role in whatever the update is for whatever reason. www.statesman.com/news/local/local-federal-law-enforcement-announce-news-fugitive-case/v5ejYPR42vDTNLtEz8qXqK/

P.S. The only three people this could possibly be if the article is correct that it's about one victim are Luis Macedo, Jason Derek Brown, and/or Alexis Flores.
