There will be a special on the LI serial killings tonight from 9-11 PM on NBC/Dateline. I also take back what I said about Rex Heuermann not sparking any red flags as there are now more stories coming out about people who knew/worked with him finding him creepy after all.
For some reason there's a stereotype that serial killers are quiet people who kept to themselves and no one ever suspected them. For the most part, lately it seems the opposite is true- BTK, Joseph DeAngelo, and Heuermann apparently did creep people out before their evil deeds were ever discovered. However, it is of course a huge leap between finding your neighbor a weirdo and thinking they're capable of being a serial killer.

Sorry I know I keep going back and forth on this but I decided to move this thread to captures section after all since we can always just update here if there are different arrests in any of the cases Heuermann technically hasn’t been charged with.

According to the US sun his wife is trying to make a million dollar special about the case but new York lawmakers are trying to block her from getting the revenue while I'm not accusing of anything to with the murders the law they are using dated back to the son of sam case aka David Berkowitz who tried to make money by writing a book and this caused the New York lawmakers to pass a law saying that criminals cannot get proceeds from there exploits like I stated his wife is not accused of wrong doing but in my personal citizen opinion this is just a bit tasteless the article was an interesting read though I would recommend it

He's been charged with an additional murder the last victim of the gilgo beach 4 her name is Maureen Brainard Barnes he was the prime suspect in her death after being charged with the other gilgo 4 murders this was according to NBC news

Well this is interesting development according to cbs news police are searching a new area on long island an area called north sea however it isn't related to rex huermann but of a for named John biltroff suspect who is currently serving two consecutive 25 to life terms in a new York state prison he has been convicted of two other unrelated murders but from what I read on CBS news he may be connected to the death of a victim named sandra costilla whose death predates the main long island serial killer suspect biltroff maybe a prime suspect of the long island police find any evidence linking him to the crime it makes me worried that biltroff may have killed more now I have heard of this guy and this is a question for scumhunter have you heard of this guy and I only know of this guy because of the long island killer case but i always suspected he had more victims

And yeah Biltroff's cases are a separate entity I don't know much about. To be honest, this whole overall case is complicated to follow and I don't really have the time to learn every detail except to say the main guy is basically arrested so I'm satisfied.

It’s ok and yeah I mean at least I’m admitting to my laziness lol. This is why I fell in love with AMW- as a fast paced fugitive chase and crime show case to follow along to. I’m glad some people have the attention span to do podcasts with 9 episodes and 45 minutes dedicated to one complicated case but my undiagnosed adult ADHD butt can’t lol.

According to CBS news he has been charged with 2 additional murders one was Jessica Taylor and Sandra costilla costilla was not even linked to the original gilgo beach murders and this is over a decade earlier in 1993 meaning he may have had earlier victims and the authorities found also discovered eeriely similar pornography on his computer and he may planned them out methodically and devised a plan to make them suffer as much as possible this guy is a sick pathetic monster but hopefully justice will be served

He has now been named a primary suspect in the murders of Valerie Mack and Shannon Gilbert and has anyone else heard of John Douglas well hauerrman had a cold case book written by Douglas he hasn't been officially charged with the murders but I will keep and eye out for updates but I in my opinion he is basically just a long island version of Richard cottingham a vile evil monster fox news is my source but there are other articles

Apparently neighbors in in his neighborhood are still trying to get back to normal the suburban long island neighborhood are still being pestered by the people who want to look at the suspects home the residents are having there lawns trampled an being harassed by people who drive by and walk on their lawns this is an aspect always overlooked yes they're is a arrest and justice will be served but people please leave the neighbors alone I mean these are hardworking people with just to live there own lives just enough is enough hopefully please respect there property and the people and this is also in a way in disrespectful to the victims and the suspects family point is remember this guy is not someone who did things to improve lives he cruelly shattered lives and brutally took them to serve his own twisted perverted fantasies he is technically innocent until proven guilty and remember his family is also suffering but please respect them and remember one thing this guy is one of the most disgusting vile serial killings sprees in my opinion and he is evil

I just wanted to mention this out of respect for one of the unidentified male victims nicknamed "Asian doe" who remains unidentified but prosecutors have released a artistic rendition of what the victim may have looked like when he was alive he is described by the anthropologists who did the rendition as biological male between 17 to 23 years of age and of Southern Chinese descent the victim was wearing strictly women's clothing at the time of death and prosecutors theorize he may spent time in New York city and may have worked as a prostitute and I wanted to mention this out of respect regardless of what ever his background was he was still a individual his life mattered I applaud the new York city and Suffolk county authorities and everyone involved who wants to find justice for the victims of this case I mean Valerie Mack got her name back this person needs to as well another heartbreaking discovery is this individual was there along ocean parkway for over 5 years that's sickening and horrible my source is abcnewsgo.com
