HUGE and unprecedented news- The Hunt season 3 in addition to being shown on CNN- will also be simulcast on their sister station HLN. This is great as it adds even more potential viewers into the mix and of course even more eyes to potentially capture the fugitive or fugitives being shown in the episode. (We're all dedicated fans, but now all the channel flippers not entirely aware of The Hunt have a better chance of coming across it). Not to mention, if CNN has some sort of breaking news (hey the DNC and RNC conventions are this summer and in this crazy election season who knows lol)- then hopefully if they have to switch to cover it, all a viewer would have to do is just switch over to HLN to continue watching The Hunt. (I actually wrote a Facebook letter to CNN saying they should do something like this a few years ago- but I sincerely doubt I was the reason lol- this is just a no-brainer). So yeah as long as they don't try to cross over Nancy Grace into John Walsh now being on HLN as well now, I'm all for it. variety.com/2016/tv/news/hln-john-walsh-the-hunt-cnn-tv-news-1201782601/

We already knew that however from the excellent ratings and the show being renewed for a fourth season but it's nice to be reassured of the show being a success.

Of ALL the shows CNN chose to start with, they chose The Hunt, and for that Producers at Zero Point Zero should be especially proud. Also significant: "HLN will also broadcast blocks of The Hunt from previous seasons, to be called “HLN Spotlight,” on Fridays from 7-10 p.m. ET." This is so awesome... www.adweek.com/tvnewser/cnns-the-hunt-will-simulcast-on-hln/294461

Casting Call for episodes 303 and 304 of The Hunt are available, although none of the cases sound familiar to me. Although I do find it interesting the filming dates are in July when Season 3 is supposed to start in June. Jennifer Puente's episode was said to me to be "301" making me think she might be on the season premiere but maybe these "301" and on episodes are actually for Season 4. www.mandy.com/procasting/339761/the_hunt_with_john_walsh/

Actually the more I think about it the more I think one of the cases sounds like Luis Rodriguez-Mena, flight attendant murdered, roommate finds the body. Although AMW never mentioned she had a boyfriend.

And the guy who murdered his wife is said to be a British man who murdered a Malaysian woman. Peter Chadwick, whose case was previously profiled on tv's "Crime Watch Daily" is a British man who murdered his Asian wife. OK, but the last case, cop who molests a girl who tried to commit suicide, that one I truly don't know. But two out of three ain't bad.

And the tip form has revealed some names for season 3!
Anthony Burroughs- I'm assuming this is who we had as a web-exclusive case. A fugitive wanted for shooting a young man at a party in Arizona in 2000.
Alfonso Diaz-Juarez- An alleged sex trafficker and another former web-exclusive case of ours. No shocker here as I expected he'd be profiled on The Hunt one day.
John & Julianne Dimitrion- This seems to be confirmation this con artist couple will be aired in season 3 after all.
William Greer- Now confirmed.
Robert Fisher- We already had a hunch but it's now confirmed.
Elby Hars- Alleged child molester who was one of John Walsh's Dirty Dozen fugitives.
William Jordan- It seems every season they will do at least one cold case murder suspect from before 2000. Apparently William Jordan, a cold case FBI fugitive, will be the season 3 cold case.
Jorge Landeros- "Poet" wanted for murdering his wife, our info matched up after all. (Former web-exclusive case of ours)
Oscar Menjivar-Herrera- Wanted for child molestation, had a short segment on AMW's last season on Lifetime.
Eugene Palmer- 73 year old man wanted for murdering his stepdaughter. Our information has confirmed.
Jennifer Puente- she is now confirmed. (Another former web exclusive case!)
So so far only Butch Knight and the Lois Colley murder haven't been listed of the cases we thought would air this season. I'm also really looking forward to The Hunt's take on the William Jordan case.
Also episodes 301 and 302 sound like the descriptions for Puente and Diaz-Juarez but I can't say for sure. It's possible one of those two cases (or even both) will be the season premiere in my opinion. Or perhaps one of the leftovers they filmed last year will be the season premiere, we'll see.

Also Juan Reyes & Eric Santiago apparently had a segment planned before their captures. Whether they get aired with a mention that they were captured like with past cases, or if The Hunt has enough time to replace then, I guess we'll also wait and see with that.
But hey, ELEVEN cases so far of fugitives who haven't been caught yet for season 3. Season 2 had three cases already solved before the premiere (and if you count Prakashanad Saraswati's rumored death and Matthew Dion who was supposed to air before his capture, five cases solved before the premiere). This season only one so far so I'm not complaining!

For those wondering about the amount of Season 3 episodes according to a deadline.com article about The Hunt it mentions how "all eight new episodes" will be broadcast on CNN and HLN- meaning once again it will be an 8-episode season.
Not a surprise. My only wish is there could be more than just one season a year to make up for that.

Finally Elby Hars will get his own full-length profile! All of his AMW airings were either 15 second of shame mentions or a brief profile during the 2008 Dirty Dozen special. Looking forward to the new season with the reveal of the cases.

Found a Google listing for "Confessions of a Killer" which confirms William Greer as the season 3 premiere fugitive. I actually like the pick. His case may involve "only" one suspected murder, but with the bizarre drunken confession, the multiple sightings and close calls, and the fact that Tammy Esquivel is still missing, there is enough drama and intrigue to make for a compelling debut case. Not to mention of all the cases they could have picked, Greer is among those most likely to still be in the U.S. or Canada and more likely for a quick capture right off the bat. (I realize everyone winds up in Mexico anyway, but in theory Greer is among the most likely here. I also like the strategy for this reason: Greer escaped multiple times after seeing he was on AMW. This time John Walsh is like "I'm not going to bother trying to catch you by surprise, I'm just going to make you the season premiere on two simulcast cable channels, and along with that comes all the articles and media on cnn.com, Facebook and elsewhere before your airing. You're too wiley to take by surprise, so I'm just going to put the pressure on you until you turn yourself in!" I'm mildly surprised Robert Fisher isn't the season debut case, but he obviously would make a fitting last case and I like the pick of Greer. g.co/kgs/JAfDSK

According to one article (which my phone isn't letting me post but I'll try again), Eugene Palmer will be profiled on the August 21st episode of "The Hunt " If The Hunt's eight episodes were going to air consecutively then the season finale would be on August 7th. So this indicates to me there may be a break or two in the season probably because of the conventions.
