Of course I want Season 3 to premiere before July but if it is in July then we've gone through three-quarters of the time required to wait for Season 3.

Hopefully once all this campaign craziness ends The Hunt can air twice a year. I'm not holding my breath but it's just as successful a show as ZPZ's other show (Parts Unknown), so I don't see why we can't see at least 16 episodes a year.

So to get a discussion going, anyone want to speculate on who the season premiere fugitive will be? My guess would be Robert Fisher of the cases we know that will *possibly* air this season, would fit in with the theme of starting off with the worst of the worst the last two seasons (Shane Miller, Yaser Said). In addition, Jason Derek Brown and Said have had multiple one-hour specials on different networks but Fisher has yet to and he obviously could take up an hour. (I'm assuming episode 1 will be a one-hour case, although the Hunt could always mix things up a bit and let two fugitives share the spotlight for the season premiere).
I think with the multiple sightings of William Greer and Butch Knight, they could possible be 1-hour cases as well, but I guess we won't know until the season starts.

P.S. If The Hunt profiles Brown as well, then I hope it's later on in the season. I think you want to start fresh for the first episode, and there's been so many tv specials about him already (Dateline, American Greed, AMW). Yeah Fisher's been aired all over AMW/Unsolved Mysteries before, but never as a 1-hour case.

I think Robert Fisher is a likely possibility for Season 3 premiere case. I'm assume that CNN is starting the filming of the episodes in approximately the order they will be aired so being in Phoenix means that Fisher might get aired. Also, Fisher was one of the worst of the worst from the AMW days and Walsh says he wants the main focus of the season to be about those fugitives.

I think ideally they'd like a more recent fugitive as bad as Shane Miller was (his crimes were only a year before airing)-but there's no cases on that level (at least not on the assumed case list) that could sustain an hour that are relatively recent in my opinion. So I assume they'll just go back a little further in time for Fisher, although he'd be a Scottsdale, Arizona and not Phoenix case. (Jason Derek Brown would be a Phoenix case- but I'd advise against him being the debut fugitive of the third season because of how many 1-hour specials have been done on him already).

OK, I found a social media posting through Facebook search which claims they will have a shortened "recap" of season 2 stories on Sunday, June 19th at 8 PM ET. (The poster was posting specifically about the Herbert Maldonado story). If this is true, than it means June 19th is the possible return date as well for season 3 since usually the new season follows the "recap" episode but I don't want to officially say anything just yet. Would be awesome if it was. I still wish there were more than 8 episodes in a year but of course I'm more than welcome to an earlier than usual start time.

That reminded me to also check the official website and see which Season 2 cases were still unresolved. - Tomas Gonzalez - Daniel Hiers - Herbert Maldonado - Missing child Timothy Pitzen - Prakashanand Saraswati - Margaret Lorrain Smith So I counted six cases from Season 2 that would be on the recap episode. Last time there were 5 cases for the Season 1 recap.

Yeah, although of course season 2 had all those captures before the season started (this is why I really hate that there's such long breaks between seasons).
Direct capture wise it's pretty much a draw, (Mozdir and Gen Kelly from season 1 the two we can say for sure were definitely direct, Paul Jackson and Megan Everett in season 2).
So yeah we'll see what happens, if there's less caught before the season starts, it will mean more chances at more direct captures.

I just realized we forgot Yaser Said so that's seven cases from season 2. Would be awesome if that was foreshadowing that we left Yaser off.

Received info from a source that a sex trafficking case will be aired this season although I don't know which fugitive or fugitives, and also Jennifer Puente might be on the season premiere but nothing set in stone yet. (In retrospect, she would be a good debut fugitive case).

John Walsh has stated season 3 will feature his "personal 10 Most Wanted" in an interview. He mentions many of them will be guys from AMW he never caught. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyLa6YYoV50Although we have no information these fugitives will definitely air (besides Grer and Fisher), this is a list of John Walsh's Final Dirty Dozen list from his AMW days that A) are still at large and B) Have not yet aired on The Hunt. Needless to say, these are all possible cases for airing. Jason Derek Brown Jose Corona Berny Figueroa Alexis Flores Elby Hars Andre Neverson William Greer (Also, Robert Fisher was long considered his Public Enemy #1) Walsh also mentioned Alexis Flores as his personal #1 Most Wanted, but he didn't say whether or not he will air on The Hunt this season.
