It really wouldn't surprise me that he and Tonya are being funded by Fred to remain as fugitives.

As I mentioned, the one problem I have is I still feel his punishment- 10 years at the most if he even gets that max sentence for allegedly violating probation- probably really doesn't justify the fact that he killed four people behind the wheel. We can only hope he learns his lesson and turns his life around once he gets out- if he's given jail time (which sadly isn't a given either)- as much as I have my doubts and as much as he might not deserve that chance- since he will get out one day if given jail time- it's all we can hope for.

Before and after photo of Couch from the NY Post, he dyed his hair but that's about it.

Watching the press conference. Some details couldn't be released but it seems good police work located Ethan and it is believed he had a "going away" party before going on the run.
Tonya Couch is expected to be charged with hindering an apprehension once she's back in Texas.

Also it should be noted he will be in juvenile court initially but it will be requested his case is transferred to an adult court. (In a Juvenile court, he'd face four months max). There's also a possibility he could face additional charges for going on the run. (Based on the original sentencing guidelines, the most he could face is 10 years if in adult court, not taking any new factors into account)

That was some ingenious disguise, his facial features and hair style are exactly the same, just a bigger mustache. What was the whole point of fleeing to one of the most popular resorts in Mexico with foreigners who were very familiar with this story through the international media. The mother will likely be charged with a serious felony, Ethan now possibly faces 10 years in actual incarceration and all this proved was that the family hadn't learned their moral lesson from the accident Ethan had caused.

I think Ethan and his mother figured they'd blend in with tourists rather than another part of Mexico where they'd stand out more as non-Hispanics. But yeah, it possibly backfired on them in that regard.

Couch and his mother are now fighting extradition as CNN reports "some sort of court action" has been filed. A lot of people are upset at this, but if these two want to spend even more time in Mexico before their inevitable return where Ethan will be even more "no longer a teenager" when it comes to bringing this case to adult court, then please go ahead. Just another example of a kid who never took responsibility in his life trying once again to avoid it and his mother once again not being a parent. Man up Ethan, you killed four people. www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Affluenza-Teen-to-Remain-in-Mexico-After-Attorneys-File-Writ-363822041.html

Ethan Couch has been granted an injunction which will allow him to stay in Mexico for a few more weeks or even months but a Mexican official speaking on condition of anonymity said he would ultimately not be able to stay in the country. For all their money, Ethan and Tonya really didn't plan this out very well. They had the finances to go ANYWHERE in the world, to countries that don't extradite. (Heck, Ethan could have went to England and claimed he was a child molester and they wouldn't have sent him back (See: Sean Sullivan, Roger Giese). Instead they go to Mexico. And while admittedly, money does have influence over there in some parts (see El Chapo), Mexico in the past decade has had a relatively good and arguably even more improved recent relationship with the U.S. when it comes to sending fugitives back here. There were plenty of other countries they could have picked that would have been less cooperative. I fully expect Ethan to be back and face the music. Let him remain in limbo in the mean time, even more weeks or months of us not having to worry about him driving drunk and killing someone else. NBD. The question is will he only get four months or will he be tried as an adult and get 10 years once he's back in Texas. www.cbc.ca/news/world/ethan-couch-return-injunction-1.3385666
