" alt=" "] (Pictured: Above: Top: US Marshals Wanted poster for Ethan Couch) Bottom: Tonya Couch, mother of Ethan Couch. Missing and possibly traveling with Ethan. Photo Credits: US Marshals, Dallas Morning News, Johnson County Sheriff's Office, Daily Mail) An arrest warrant has been issued for Ethan Couch, the Texas teen involved in the infamous “affluenza” DUI crash. Couch, who prompted outrage after receiving no more than probation following a deadly drunken driving accident two years ago that killed four people, missed a meeting with his probation officer earlier this month, according to KVUE.com. Now, lawyers for Couch, 19, have confirmed police have been ordered to detain the teenager after authorities were unable to reach either him or his mother. “We have recently learned that for the last several days the juvenile probation officer has been unable to make contact with Ethan or his mother, with whom he’s been residing,” said attorneys Regan Wynn and Scott Brown in a statement, reported NBC DFW. “It’s our understanding that the court has issued a directive to apprehend to have Ethan detained because he is out of contact with his probation officer." Neither Wynn nor Brown elaborated further in the statement, released Tuesday afternoon. Earlier this month, a video surfaced online of the privileged teen laughing and drinking a beer as he watched friends play beer pong in an apparent breach of his probation. A video posted on Twitter by a user called 'BlondSpectre' allegedly showed Couch watching a game of beer pong, with a can of Miller Lite on the table. The teen in the focus of the video leaps on the table and tries dunking the ball, knocking the entire table over. Couch is allegedly spotted laughing hysterically as the clip ends. The Tarrant County district attorney’s office launched an investigation into whether Couch had violated his probation. His probation conditions strictly stated that he could not drink, drive or do drugs. The teen could end up behind bars for up to 10 years if he is found guilty. Couch was infamously slapped on the wristafter being convicted of intoxication manslaughter, with just 10 years probation. Couch was not sent to prison, but instead went to a $450,000-a-year rehab facility his parents paid for following the December 2013 decision. During his defense trial, the rich teen’s lawyer said he had a bad case of affluenza, arguing that his parents coddled him into a sense of irresponsibility with all their money. Thoughts? I'm placing this in the fugitives on tv section since "Crime Watch Daily" has the case on their website and other media outlets covered this case- both the shocking verdict- and the now missing status of Ethan and his mother. As ridiculous as the decision was- affluenza- give me a break I really hope that won't be Chris Ponce's excuse once he's finally caught- one underrated aspect here is Ethan killed 4 people and is still allegedly seen drinking and violating his probation. He's not a kid who seems to have learned his lesson. He could still potential get on the road drunk and harm someone. He might look like just a young rich spoiled brat- but even the skinniest twig is a danger if they're drunk behind a wheel. So he is a dangerous fugitive despite his looks. *****************************UPDATE*******************************************
Ethan Couch and his mother Tonya Couch have been detained in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Couch is expected to be in US Marshals custody by next week. *****************************UPDATE*******************************************crimewatchdaily.com/2015/12/16/ethan-couch-teen-convicted-in-affluenza-case-missing-from-probation/abcnews.go.com/US/arrest-warrant-issued-missing-affluenza-teen-ethan-couch/story?id=35784710www.nydailynews.com/news/national/warrant-issued-arrest-affluenza-teen-ethan-couch-article-1.2467358

Look I not against anyone with gender or race. This case had nothing to do with Ethan Couch case. The judge did a bad job on both jobs, Who don't deserve to serve in position she in.

The fact that AMW Capture James Sullivan was sentenced to life imprisonment should give us hope that the wealthy (Sullivan was a millionaire) are not subjected to different legal standards, but Ethan Couch's case presented major problems for legal standards based on societal class systems. Ethan Couch is someone who flat out doesn't care about anyone's well being, all he cares about is getting intoxicated and feeling like he can enjoy life how he wants to.

I'm white too lol. But everyone knows if Couch wasn't a rich white kid this particular Judge would have thrown the book at him.

Beats Me, I think he's ended up in US Marshals Top 15 most wanted list if he haven't been caught.

The US Marshals have released a wanted poster and are now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension of Ethan Couch. I've inserted his wanted poster, and have I've also inserted their number as the contact point for tips in the OP since I believe you can remain anonymous with them, but if you don't care and just want to turn him in the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office number is listed on a previous post as well. Here's a link to an article about the wanted poster release and reward increase: crimeblog.dallasnews.com/2015/12/u-s-marshals-release-wanted-poster-for-affluenza-teen-ethan-couch-offer-5000-reward.html/

And now here's the US Marshals release as well. I do agree with danwind that Couch would make a good addition to the top 15 but I wish they'd consider Chris Ponce for the list as well. www.usmarshals.gov/news/chron/2015/couch.pdf

Hang on... 4 dead?! This has got to be the worst car wreck case we've seen since Sarkis Peltekian! America's Most Wanted has dealt with their fair share of these. Joseph Anthony Safrany, Norman Aaron Thomley, Olin Earl Young Jr, Frederick David Russell, Roberto Carlos Paz to some extent. But I've thought about it more, and this case is so shocking it's unbelievable! What message is this going to send to other young perpetrators behind terrible cases like these? Just get your child tested positive for "affluenza" and any judge that's not worth half his salt will put him/her on probation for a decade in exchange for a sum of money that amounts to pocket change from the perp's family, release him/her back to his reckless debauchery, and give him/her another opportunity to get dozens of other people hurt? **c* that!
Perhaps young affluenzatics will be the next big object of pity by the more authoritative population. If parents don't take a reasonable stand on what goes on in their child's life, they never build character, they never develop a personality that's worth spending even a little time with, they crash into the ground hard when authorities stop the parties once and for all, they explode dangerously on anyone who exposes them to any non-luxurious reality, they hardly ever learn to do honest work successfully (In the last century, many people were fed with silver spoons, given high-up roles through nepotism, and ran a lot of huge businesses into the ground), they're completely lost when they're brought outside their over-privileged sanctum, and how long can I go on?

There's a lot of rich, successful people who worked their butt off to get to where they are today. But the problem is a lot of times their children don't have the same work ethic, the same drive, just want to live off their parents money, and I've seen many times a company go into the ground when the son and/or daughter take it over from a successful parent. (According to statistics, only 30% of family businesses survive into the second generation and only 12% survive into the third).
Ethan is essentially the poster child for the privileged irresponsible brat.
So yes, preach on as much as you want 912th, although I know you'd be here all day. I know this because this case is so ridiculous I've had to hold back myself lol.

I honestly did not pay much attention to this story until now. He looks like the stereotypical drug-addled teenager. I don't remember the Marshals' most wanted list ever containing a fugitive wanted for DUI vehicular manslaughter, but I do think Couch would be a good addition, even moreso than Chris Ponce since Couch's reckless behavior claimed four lives. I could see both of them on this list, however, but I don't know if the Marshals would want to add two DUI manslaughter fugitives, at least simultaneously.

In regards to DUI fugitives on the US Marshals top 15- Frederick Russell in 2005 was the only one to be placed on it. He was aired on AMW and wanted for a drunk driving accident in Washington state that killed three students and injured two of them. He was eventually indirectly captured in Ireland, extradited back and sentenced to 14 years.
If you were going by "statistics" obviously Couch had the more deadly accident. (Although it should be noted Ponce could have potentially killed three people, and William Angel was the only unlucky one). But I also feel Couch's case is so well known in the media now and is still new, the Marshals could catch him without any added publicity and don't necessarily need the top 15 list for him. The Ponce case, despite being aired on The Hunt, is not as well known to the public and, despite The Hunt airings, it's now been nearly three years without Ponce being caught- meaning the list would really help in his case with their added resources. (Couch has not proven to be as elusive yet). Not to mention, while Ponce killed one person compared to four, it was after a series of DUI arrests and driving infractions. Couch had one horrible deadly incident, while Ponce basically was a career DUI criminal. The Marshals love placing career criminals on their list.
However, I agree they can't go wrong with putting either or both on there (they can actually add both on the same day and make it a theme). But hopefully both can be captured soon and they won't need to.
What does suck about this case is even if Couch is captured, he's probably not getting any more than 10 years in prison based on what the violation of probation guidelines called for. But any jail time is welcome compared to the completely idiotic sentence the Judge initially gave him.

Tonya Couch, the mother of Ethan Couch, has been put on a Tarrant County missing person's list so she is now officially part of the investigation. It should also be noted articles suggest Ethan has possibly fled the country. Mexico is probably the first place everyone thinks about it, but keep in mind Ethan comes from a wealthy enough background to go anywhere in the world, although I agree Mexico is the logical first place to look. abcnews.go.com/US/mother-affluenza-teen-wanted-alleged-probation-violation-put/story?id=35878004
