One difference here is this man was 60 and Howe would have been around 69 in 2009.

What is interesting about the photo that supposedly is John Wipert is the circular scar on his forehead, when he first went on the run people that knew Howe were shown a pic when he was younger and they all agreed he was a lot older when he killed Sharin Morningstar Keenan, so they did that age progression ,that pic has the same circular scar!
another creepy thought... Since I have lived in Alaska there have only been 2 little girls murdered one in Tazlina. A guy that was accused was later acquitted her name wad Mandy Lemaire , she was 11 years old the other girl Shawna Evon was found in Anchorage she was 13 but looked younger ,both of these murders remain unsolved but did occur since Howe has been on the run and if he was here??
he left behind his drivers license which said blue eyes.
Hes known for concocting stories and covering his tracks, it would be easy to hide in Alaska for a long time just care taking cabins.

In my opinion, it can only be one or the other if any of these two theories are true. I'd tend to lean towards the Wipert thing more. One thing is I feel more confident Howe is dead than almost every other fugitive in this cold case section (Perhaps Donald Webb is the only other I feel even more sure of).

This case has taken the most bizarre turn possible... Remember the Boise art gallery guy I was telling you guys about? Well now there is a report Canadian authorities think HE may actually be Dennis Melvin Howe. And if you take a look at the photo, I can see why. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up. Although I should add why wouldn't he run if he really was Dennis Melvin Howe and he knows authorities think he's him? Unless the guy is certifiably nuts.
Guess we'll wait for the fingerprints. But it is at least a crazy coincidence a guy who at the very least resembles Howe has mass posted these conspiracy theories.

I too noticed right by the left cheek you can see the same type of scar and/or indentation as the original Howe photo. The guy certainly looks a lot like him if nothing else. And he certainly is a character to say the least. We'll wait and see. As I said before, I'm not going to make assumptions and will wait for the results, and it would be odd for him to continue living in plain sight if he really was a fugitive.
I really would love to hear his reasoning if amazingly this actually turns out to be him. He's not running because he's planning on using the "I'm not Dennis Melvin Howe, and this is a conspiracy to cover up the death of the real Dennis Melvin Howe" defense?

There is a major resemblance when comparing the Nampa, Idaho man and the age-enhanced photo of Dennis Melvin Howe. My father brought up that he may have gone totally mentally ill while on the run, judging by his claims of owning paintings by Vincent Van Cogh, that Howe was killed by investigators and by his postings online. The one thing I find interesting is that this "Bob Miller" lives in Idaho and investigators traced Howe's now deceased brother to unexplained trips in Washington State and Montana, Idaho is between those two states.
Hopefully this is actually him and we Canadians can finally stop hunting down our version of Alexis Flores.

Wouldn't it be wild if this guy is really Howe AND believes his own stories that he's not? Could complicate things if his lawyers would try to plead an insanity defense even if Howe wasn't insane at the time of the murder.
One thing for sure, whether Bob Miller is Howe or not, even he admits he's an "oddball".

An interview with 69-year old retired Canadian cop Ted Collins. Ted Collins was the last known officer to arrest Howe after he violently attacked a woman years before the death of Sharin' Morningstar Keenan. Collins is intrigued by the news about Bob Miller, but doesn't think he's Howe, citing Miller seems to be taller than Howe's listed height of 5'9 and that when you get older "you might shrink, but you don't grow." The Criminally Listed Youtube channel profiled a series of unsolved crimes in Canada...the last one had the killings of several children in Montreal from the 1970s to 2007 starting at 14:08.

Dennis Howe was not mentioned in any of the crimes in the clip. Howe lived in Toronto where he was accused of Sharin Morningstar Kennin's murder...wonder if he might be connected to the Montreal cases? |
