Fugitive Profile as of March 4th, 2015 (based on FBI.Gov wanted poster): Aliases: Gerard B. Zalewski, Gerard Zalewska Date(s) of Birth Used: June 26, 1983 Place of Birth: Poland Height: 5'8" Weight: 140 pounds Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue Sex: Male Race: White Nationality: Polish Remarks: Zalewski has ties to Poland as well as New Jersey and Arizona. TIPS: If you have any information concerning this person, please contact your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate. (Tips can also be submitted electronically to the FBI at tips.fbi.gov )The FBI has just added Gerard Zalewski to their crimes against children fugitives section. He was on AMW's website as a web-exclusive. Below is the archived description of his case: Cops: Zalewski Is Extremely Dangerous To ChildrenOn August 15, 2004, Zalewski was arrested for arranging a meeting with a 12-year-old girl through the Internet. Police say Zalewski's intention was to commit a sexual crime. But his vicious plan didn't work out. His prey was really an undercover detective. During his arrest, police found condoms, a digital camera and two ice picks. That's when police decided to investigate Zalewski's past. And what they found was not encouraging. Police say in June 2004, Zalewski sexually molested a 13-year-old girl who he met in a chat room. Zaleski was arrested again in November 2004. On November 14, 2005, Zalewski pleaded guilty to Attempted Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse in relation to his first arrest and to Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse for his second arrest. Zalewski didn't show up for his hearing on March 29, 2006, but the Sexual Offender Assessment Board determined that he is a Sexually Violent Predator. Police hope to find Zalewski before he hurts other young girls. Zaleski has dual citizenship, Polish and American, and police fear that he may have escaped to Poland. However, they say he may be in New Jersey or Arizona. Thoughts? I said it before and I'll say it again- I will never understand why guys are set free after pleading or being found guilty of a serious crime, especially a guy who has a citizenship in another country. As far as whereabouts, it is a good possibility Zalewski is in Poland based on the passage of time. The US has an extradition treaty with Poland, the latest one in 1996 and amended 10 years later. And last year, Andrzej Rybka, a Chicago fugitive wanted for reckless homicide charges in which two people were killed was extradited back to the U.S.. Roman Polanski is probably the most famous example of U.S.-Polish extradition relations, but he is a unique case considering his status as a famous director. It is said the reason the last time a Polish court ruled not to extradite (I believe in 2010) was because of how old his charges were (he was accused of having sexual relations with a minor in 1977). It should be noted Rybka was a Polish citizen and initially he wasn't sent back, Poland like many other countries may not choose to send back a fugitive if he's a citizen, but a higher court in Poland eventually ruled to extradite him after all. So if Zalewski is there, while it's possible a lot of legal loopholes will have to be gone through, I wanted to use that example to show it isn't hopeless. Of course it would be even better if Zalewski was still in the states, as I take it even if he fights extradition from a state, he'd be back in Bucks County a lot faster. So if you know where Zalewski is, here or abroad, do the right thing and contact the FBI. www.fbi.gov/wanted/cac/gerard-boguslaw-zalewski/viewweb.archive.org/web/20070811114916/http://www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=38316Admin Note: If you have any updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Thankfully the FBI added him to their featured fugitives page since I sometimes wondered whatever became of Zalewski, sadly he's still wanted of course. Luckily as Scumhunter indicated, there is hope in finding him, which is good since it doesn't look like Zalewski is going to stop looking for preteen girls to victimize.

Like with John Hartin, Gerard Zalewski isn't nearing 80 anytime soon he's only 33 and catching him would be very easy.
Even if he's in Poland he would be very easy to find but it all depends on the extradition treaty the U.S. Has with Poland.
In the States he'd be more likely to live in Polish communities here and that's what would make him an easy fugitive to capture.
Also the FBI should definitely consider adding him to the Top Ten list since those new images they released of him this year would flush him out quickly.

Hi I've signed up to hear just to post this news.
Gerard Zalewski has been arrested, the exact details of where he has been arrested are still a bit hazy but it is believed that he was arrested in Manchester, England.
You may be wondering how I know this, turns out I've been working with him for the past year and a half in a warehouse in the south of England. I found out about his past yesterday and just can't believe it, the fact I was working with someone like that. He always struck me as a bit of a loner as he never sat with anyone or spoke to anyone unless someone spoke to him and generally was short with his answers. He looks really similar to the mocked up photos all but the fact he has long hair now that he wears in a ponytail. We had police come to the warehouse yesterday to clear out his locker.
As soon as I find out anymore info I'll be sure to post. Hope this is a welcome relief to all that reads this.

Hi maccatwotone,
Thanks for joining the forum!
That is great news! Do you have an article confirming this? Unfortunately this site can't claim him captured until there's an official news report or the FBI announces his arrest.
Also I am being cautiously optimistic because last year an alleged child molester wanted by the FBI named Roger Giese was arrested but the UK courts refused to extradite him. In that case they were concerned about "human rights violations"- in the U.S., convicted child molesters could be sent to halfway houses even after their set prison sentences. The U.K. denied the extradition of Giese and set him free because they felt was this was a violation of human rights. (I always ask what about the victims' rights)
So we'll see. The way you told us is exactly what happened last year. Someone claimed Roger Giese was captured in the U.K., we had no articles about it then either. And then it was confirmed but they wouldn't send him back here.
I totally believe you that he's been captured. Just even if we had an article there's no guarantee he'll be sent back here based on the Roger Giese situation.
But thanks for joining and I hope the news is soon official and he's sent back! I remain cautiously optimistic that will be the case!

Hi and thanks for the welcome, no article as yet but have been checking every so often and as soon as I've hear something or get 100% confirmation I'll be sure to let everyone know. All that I know is what I've heard from work and that the police came to raid his locker yesterday.
Maybe the police will make some sort of announcement after he is questioned, the press more then likely do not know as the only reason I know is because it's hard to ignore police coming to your work to raid a colleagues locker.
Any articles that may come up or any announcements that I come across I'll post links.

maccatwotone I want to wait awhile and check the FBI site if he is listed as captured and then I'll say that it is great news I knew this guy would be getting caught either way. However to my surprise it was Manchester, England. Until then I'll sit and wait. Also did you see those mocked up photos here on the site or the FBI poster??

Hi top ten hunter, yeah just waiting on confirmation myself and if I get any links to a article on his capture I'll let everyone know. It's definately the same guy 100%. Due to his Polish nationality and with England being at the time when he came over here part of the EU he would been free to enter the country and to work so it's not that far fetched for him to escape to England or any other EU country. I just hope the police do not bail him which I'm guessing they won't because he could just disappear to another country in the EU.
I first saw his profile and any pictures associated with Gérard on the official FBI Website.

Thanks. And I dont want to get political and this may be a dumb question but is it possible your country's vote to leave the EU will have any effect on Zalewski being sent back sooner or later?

Hi, to be honest I'm not the most policticly sound person so don't not know exactly where it will stand in regards to Gerard case. As far as I know even though the UK referendum to leave EU was successful we won't officially be out of it for at least a couple of years as we have a lot of business with other countries that need to be re-arranged. Hopefully in this time he will be extradited to serve his punishment.
It really angers me how he was allowed to get away and escape, God only knows what he might have been upto over in England all these years.

This vote to leave the EU in a few years will give the UK it's own set of laws, though it's hard to tell which way the pendulum will swing and even more so that they are said to be wanting to do the whole vote over again.
So we'll have to see, also 2 questions I have is why'd they raid his locker? and was it then that you found out who he may be?

I yes it is true that being free of the EU allows us to self govern our self's and make our laws, which may actually lead to it being easier or Hardy to extradite him. It's to early to tell at the time.
I'm guessing they came to just clear all of his possessions I'm not sure what they found in there and I wouldn't want to speculate without citating whether I know something as fact or speculation.
For all I know if he has committed any crimes over in England the time he has been here the English police may want to trial and sentence him themselves.
I heard from another colleague today that had spoken to Gerard that he has moved many times in the time he has been in the country 7 to 8 times which in itself I believe is strange, again this is only what I have been told. Just want to make that clear. [br

Oh yeah that's the best thing for authorities to speak with him, investigate him on any potential crimes he may have committed while in the UK since he is an accused Paedophile fugitive and is likely to keep committing those crimes while on the run.
Now about the 7 or 8th time in the country, My guess is he probably went back to Poland to visit.

When I mean moved 7-8 times I mean moved to a different apartment in England not visited different places in Europe, just wanted to clarify that.
Just curious if he was going to be sent back to the states what would the procedure be? Would it make the news in Pensyvania or anything along those lines as he's been wanted for so long?
