With Davie Albarran's direct capture, I want to credit everyone involved for making AMW's 27th season a success! The individual areas of improvement I have confidence will be looked at whenever the next nine episodes are filmed. Despite my negative tone at the beginning-mid part of Season 27, let me say again that overall, I did enjoy watching these six episodes. We were all traumatized from not liking the 2021 season and I’m glad I finally got you out of that trauma lol

And yeah constructively I would like to see less unserious caught on cameras and more 15 seconds of shame type fugitive deals (caught on cameras are ok here and there but should be limited to known fugitives or a very serious crime- not run of the mill neighborhood stuff). I’d also like more of a focus on the worst of the worst as opposed to variety for the sake of variety. But overall this was leaps and bounds better than Season 1 of the reboot and I can’t wait for AMW to come back. And of course In Pursuit returns soon as well! I like to push back on your criticisms on the caught on camera segments. A crime is a crime is a crime and a lot of these segments include serious crime. Plus if I were to be honest the 15 seconds of shame were as less helpful. At least with the caught on camera there's more context.

The key word was unserious- I think it should remain a segment but stuff like a guy stealing 800 dollars from a Tesla is worthy a local neighborhood news segment- but it doesn't qualify as "most wanted". If you look, I've been the most positive poster here on the show and only trying to offer suggestions for making the show even better. it's a segment that should remain but the case selection albeit much better than 2021 could still use some improvement.

I look at it differently. Looking back at old AMW harkens to what I said, a crime is a crime is a crime and AMW never shied away from even "minor" crime. Plus given such crimes have been more prevalent as of late, I can see why they are included. I also think that they can be good gateway for people to be engaged since they are less intimidating (compared to their more major cases) and I feel FBI'zing the show can do more harm than good.

That's actually a fair point, kinda rough if your first ever case you're watching is a horrific murder case lol. (Also albeit controversial harkens back to the broken windows theory which some argued cleaned up crime in cities like NYC in the 1990s)

Tbh about the caught on tape segments, featuring thieves, robbers and home invaders is fine. The only catch is that those segments should exclusively profile fugitives and not unidentified suspects. The unidentified criminals who commit those types of crimes are not going to be identified and arrested by 2020s AMW.
The intent to profile crimes that are less “morbid” is reasonable, but the only way those segments will be “relevant” is to exclusively feature known fugitives. None of those unidentified suspects have been caught because of 2020s AMW and I do not believe that will change.
There must be a huge backlog of warrants for crimes such as robbery, burglary and larceny. There should be no shortage of those fugitives whose crimes were caught on tape.

And like I said long game and working on leads and Tahje Michael is 1193!
Also with Jacob Dean Smart although it appears they’re not going to take official credit that still makes three captures this season.
I have no idea if now they’re in off-season there will be more capture counter confusion where they start a season with a new number and have no idea who they’ve taken credit for but at least for now Fox said Tahje Michael was #1193 so hopefully they’ll update if any fugitives after the episodes are 1194, 1195 etc…

In fairness I thought we'd get at least one or two more captures but it would be a Mexico know where they are but just need to clear extradition hurdles and/or pinpoint exact location and they get arrested two months later type of deal (which could still happen!). I wasn't expecting a local capture a month after airing but I'll of course take it!

So after all our worrying about whether AMW can still be effective, overall this season there have been three captures and with Astrid Kress one missing child recovered as well. Not bad!

I looked through the thread and seen Fox Nation mentioned as a place to watch. A friend of mine pointed out that Fox Nation also has some extra clips to go along with the episode. He showed me one of them, and it was John and Callahan going over a bit of general history for about 11 mins.
Just wanted to mention in case anyone else was curious to check them out.

Some good news and some bad news:
The bad news:
-The 9 additional episodes were supposed to be AFTER the first six not later in the year but Fox retracted because they had a show already slated they still wanted to move forward with.
The good news:
-Fox was happy with AMW’s ratings and captures and everyone is hopeful for a third season. I personally feel Fox wouldn’t have John and Cal on tv (rightfully) bragging about captures if they weren’t happy with it.
-There is hope perhaps those nine extra episodes can still happen.
-In Pursuit may extend past Season 5 after all.
That is all for now.
