Well We didn't capture any dangerous fugitives yet., But we recovered one missing child so far. Thank you for restating exactly what I said lol, but yes hopefully we get some more captures soon. Your Welcome, Sooner or Later, We will find out the first fugitive to be captured In Pursuit with John Walsh from this season anytime soon.

Really sad but good episode with two male manipulators. One new 15 SOS fugitive and missing child case not previously on the site I'll try to work on tonight or tomorrow.
Also without being too critical, I don't know if anyone has any theories as to why In Pursuit has had such difficulty catching fugitives lately? Just maybe we can make suggestions? Is it time of year (late summer/fall instead of the January-April it had been) or something else? I know they've done some difficult cold cases but even areas they've usually been successful in such as brand new cases never in the media shown the first time aren't getting captures either. I thought last year was an aberration but it's the same frustrating situation yet again.
My theory is unfortunately more people are ditching cable for streaming and while I'm sure the show is high rated for ID, I'm not sure how much the channel itself is watched in compared to years past. The Discovery plus app helps but right now that and HBO Max (a sort of co-partner now) are separate entities. If it could be on both or repeats allowed on other streaming services such as Netflix, perhaps that would help as well.
Not a knock on the ID channel as I enjoy watching it besides just In Pursuit, although I admittedly have ditched traditional cable as well and watch through a streaming service. For all I know, it might not be just more people ditching cable but even those with cable still having 7 zillion streaming apps to also divert their attention as well.
Also I know I sound like a broken record in the works, but there could in theory be captures in the works in Mexico, but as we know those usually take a little longer. (And In Pursuit is also shown in Mexico).

Regarding a lack of captures, I'm always reminded of when AMW had capture droughts. Unfortunately, this happens from time to time. April 2003 had ZERO captures. December 2002 had one, which was super disappointing because the previous month was one of AMW's most successful months of all-time. I personally think a big part of it is older cases, but we also don't know that maybe they do have a winning tip - it just hasn't paid off yet. I'm reminded of when AMW caught Arthur Kanev. He was nabbed in July 2003, but based on everything I've learned, AMW got the tip not long after his profile...in June 2002. It took over a year to find him. Granted, he was wanted out of another country - Costa Rica - but sometimes it takes awhile. A better example is Stephen Anderson. They got the tip that led to his capture off his Nov. 2 airing...but he wasn't caught until just before Thanksgiving. Investigators had him under surveillance the entire time, and were waiting to find them.
Lack of cable viewership could be a reason, but people are still watching it. Plus In Pursuit always shares their cases on social media - even if you're not following the page, how many shares do those links get?
I get that it's frustrating, but if I learned anything watching AMW for a decade, it's that patience will pay off.

True but this is almost getting towards two full seasons in a row with no technical direct captures in the seasons. I don't recall AMW ever going basically what equates to six months (or a little over 5) with nothing. Last season I understood it was still the height of covid sorta, but I was really hoping this season the tides would turn. I pretty much mentioned everything you already stated, AMW had cold streaks too sometimes captures are in the works etc.... in no means am I trying to be negative. I have hope, I'm just really tired of waiting lol.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but it may be that hiatus between season 2 and 3, In Pursuit may have made a lot of changes, including their case selection for the show, as seasons 1 and 2 were heavily cases from Most Wanted Lists, The Hunt aired cases, along with a few never profiles cases, where as in seasons 3 and 4, it’s majority unprofiled not too recent and not too cold, with a sprinkle of a few cold cases and recent cases that are not very easy to catch but could benefit from publicity of being aired , which IMO is a lot better format. Perhaps during AMW 2.0, which took place during that hiatus between season 2 and 3 of IP, John Walsh and Liz Vargas probably had a conversation about if AMW 2.0 took off, she should take the more well known cases, along with the notorious cold cases, while John and Cal focus on more recent, lesser known cases. One final thing, it could be that many people were turned off when In Pursuit didn’t return in January 2021 for what should’ve been season 3, and perhaps moved on with their lives, along with cable being a dying breed amongst viewers. But as was pointed out, In Pursuit has a presence on streaming sites and social media which is still a glimmer of hope to hold on to.

As far as I know, In Pursuit is one of the highest rated shows on ID. Also AMW unfortunately became sort of a competitor as opposed to a compliment so I doubt Walsh and Vargas were having any discussions. (Walsh respects Vargas I'm sure but he's on a competing network). But like you said, the irony is the format is actually better for seasons 3 and 4, just its not paying off in terms of captures. Maybe a 2 year aberration as opposed to 1 year? Who knows lol. TBH, AMW 2.0 didn't do as great as it should have capture-wise either. (Phillip Dent was the easiest capture ever and Maurice Nesbitt became a sort of point of controversy as to which show caught him).

While I do think also it’s just a sheer unlucky streak of 2 years for the show, but with this honestly, we should ask ourselves, what changes should In Pursuit make for season 5 and further.

One thing for me is seeing if the show can be rerun on any partner channels or even in syndication but not sure if that's possible.
Also if possible starting the show a little earlier and not in late summer.
Finally, taking a hard look at what recent 15 SOS cases might be good for a full profile since most (although not all) are recent cases.

Just wanted to say I'll be going on a mini vacation this week and have another possible obligation next Wednesday so I will not be able to watch the In Pursuit episodes live and will need to watch via DVR or Discovery plus app before or after the fact. So for the next 2 weeks, please do not expect prompt updates right after the show. Hopefully my being away during the show will be what unjinxes the capture drought lol.

Was able to get episode in on time so only this week (and admittedly possibly next week but only possibly as well), will have to ruin some things. Hibbs and Ausiello was well done. The Boca Raton Mall segment actually profiled both Randi Gorenberg and Nancy and Joey Bocchichio's murders, but did not mention Michel Barrera as a possible suspect like AMW did. Finally the season finale on November 9th will be US Marshals Top 15-er Jose Bustos-Diaz as the lead segment, while in the second segment Callahan Walsh will lead the manhunt for Benjamin Robert Williams: tvlistings.zap2it.com/overview.html?programSeriesId=SH02986595&tmsId=SH029865950000&from=TVGrid&aid=gapzap

Also there was one new 15 Seconds of Shame and one new missing child segment not previously on our forum. I'll try to update those if I have time, if not by over the weekend.

Just wanted to mention that I found our during my hotline visit that they are pretty confident one of the fugitives profiled this season is deceased thanks to information from a tipster and they just working to eliminate any tiny shred of doubt. So fingers crossed we will have a direct result death soon and that victim's family will no longer have to worry about them.
Also as I said in my hotline visit thread, there was no specifically "This is it" tip during the Jolene Hibbs and Charles Ausiello segment, but there were several phone calls and emails and the hotline did light up with tips in general which doesn't always happen so it was encouraging.
So looks like our patience may be paying off after all!

See your trip to the hotline turned out to be a good thing after all, I’m really curious as to who that individual is, but at least it’s something. Hopefully Jolene Hibbs and Charles Ausiello won’t be on the run much longer because it would be nice to have 2 caught alive.
