It turned out to just be a general press conference. They introduced a detective who you can send anonymous tips to, and said they believe they've found out they've been lied to when investigating the manhunt and they're offering immunity to anyone with information.
I hate to sound disappointed since it's nice they're trying to do some publicity, but I was really hoping the conference would be to add him to the top ten list.

This is actually a lot better than a top ten addition and it means they’re getting closer to capturing especially now offering whoever helped him, granting them immunity. |

I hope so but a top ten addition would be six figure reward money which would also inspire people to do the right thing While that is true, I don’t think they plan on using it now, rather it was a plea to get someone to talk, but if it doesn’t work months down the road, I could see him actually being added as they have a lot to go on. Logically with all this, it would have been great to add him but I just don’t understand why keep delaying justice like this by taking baby steps. |

What I do find weird is eight years ago an article claimed Calcasieu Parish receiving very promising tips off AMW, then eight years later and suddenly the investigation is at a standstill and they have hardly any leads. Maybe some of those tips were intentionally misleading from a person or persons who didn't want Constance caught, and I understand leads don't always pan out, but it's a bit weird they went from claiming to have many promising tips to claiming they're at a dead end.
Hopefully this immunity offer helps though.

They're gonna catch this guy!!! Just a matter of time... I watched the press conference yesterday and have never seen the law enforcement members involved look and sound so confident. Kudos to them for getting another set of eyes on this case. More Departments should be doing this. Curious to hear what everyone else thought about what was said?

To be honest I watched part of it but then left my house at the last few minutes.
It does sound promising in that it seems they caught someone or someones in a lie and they now have an avenue to go through based on that. While unfortunately blood is thicker than water for direct relatives of fugitives usually, maybe the immunity will inspire someone who perhaps lied because they didn't want to get involved or were afraid for whatever reason to come forward.

Considering the updates and not to mention Constance was my #1 Most Wanted fugitive from 2011 plus he's on my personal dirty, I figured this week was a fitting week to make him forum case of the week. (July 11th-17th, 2021).
I do hope he is given serious consideration for the top ten list if the manhunt unfortunately continues much longer, but this week has given us some renewed hope.

I’m going to add another theory as to why they haven’t replaced Yaser Said, and I will say that it has to do with this case. If investigators have been digging for some time now, and they gave this press conference this week, i think the press conference is coming from the aspect that they are giving Joe Constance a chance to turn himself in and that whoever helps him won’t help him for much longer by offering them immunity. Also if the FBI hasn’t touched the Yaser Said slot in nearly a year, and they’ve been onto Joe Constance, while claiming they’ll use every tool at their disposal to locate Constance, then that to me seems like Joe Constance could be Yaser Said’s formal replacement on the Top Ten List.
