*spoiler warnings below*
Ok, after two episodes that were good but I felt could have been more detailed, we had our best episode of the season yet (in my opinion) with the Paul Jackson case. I hate saying I "enjoyed" an episode with such a disturbing topic, however, it was very well done, and definitely is one of the better examples of John Walsh's argument for slowing down the number of cases for AMW as this was even more disturbing and better produced than the AMW re-enactment.
The "torture house" I don't believe we'd seen that much footage before. And what I also find interesting is they interviewed Paul Jackson's cousin. It is very rare for AMW or The Hunt to interview the guy they're going after's family members unless they were victims of the fugitive.
It is a shame Michaelle was not believed initially, especially when you take a look at cases in the news like Bill Cosby's, It seems like unfortunately more than one woman needs to get raped by the same guy (or guys) for anyone to believe her story.
I also always wondered why Vance Roberts turned himself in and now we know why. He thought he could get away with it because his victims were prostitutes. Turns out he was dead wrong.
Also some good discussion on where Paul Jackson could possibly be- ties to Arizona, Hawaii, and his cousin mentioning Vance saying "if the police are looking for you, hide in plain sight" to him.
My only question is and this is with both AMW and The Hunt- why haven't the police released photos of Jackson and Roberts' potential victims so the public can potentially identify them? Is it purposely withholding information for investigative purposes? (In other words, if a person comes forward in private as opposed to seeing a picture on tv, it gives them more credibility if they can identify an old photo?).
Not sure. The only way to answer that is to finally catch Paul Jackson.

P.S. I think parts of the reenactment were taken from the old AMW one. Vance Roberts actor in car looked exactly the same.
P.P.S. Two weeks in a row John Walsh hasn't Tweeted. Maybe it will only be a season premiere thing from now on. I miss his tweets! lol
EDIT: Oddly, he wasn't on Facebook either this past week.

In the AMW reenactments from '007 onward, Erven and Vance showed Andrea the photo album full of their 20+ previous victims, part of what earned Erven a position on my personal Dirty Dozen list. For years, I wondered if anything else might've been known about those other women. Tonight's show proves those previous victims have never been recovered. The scary thing is, police believe it's more likely than ever before that Erven and Vance killed them. The only one who knows where they could be besides Vance Roberts, who would never tell investigators where anyone else was, is Paul Erven Jackson. It seems like sexual homicides were all the rage on the top leftover AMW fugitives of '007. Erven would make a great addition to the US Marshals' 15 Most Wanted list, if only to raise the pressure on him.

That was a pretty good episode. Extremely disturbing but that's understandable considering which case was being depicted. The fact that no family member thinks that either Vance or Paul is guilty makes me feel that they may be protecting Paul Jackson.

I think Jackson's cousin *might* have thought he was guilty since he said "They" still don't think he's guilty, seeming to remove himself from their opinion. I understand it's hard to accept a family member can do such a thing, but the evidence in this case is overwhelming. Also, one more thing, anyone catch John Walsh call Vance Roberts an a-hole? Cable has loosened up a little bit- you can say the s-word now lol, but I'm not sure Walsh ever had that freedom even when he was on Lifetime. No wonder he enjoys doing the Hunt so much.

First case on August 2nd is Megan Everett. Second case is described as a "serial molester in Texas flees during trial." But none of us know what case that is. So it might be a new one. August 9th the entire episode will be on Prakashanand Saraswati aka Swami Ji with our new forum friend srose appearing in it. I think the Serial Molester is really Charles Klein

I don't think Klein escaped before or during trial and he is pretty much located but can't be extraidted. I don't think any AMW cases (besides Thomas Demopolous who arguably might fit the description), fit the description. We'll just have to wait and see.

Even though I enjoy seeing AMW fugitives getting renewed international media publicity, this sounds like a new case which is always good to see as well.

Oy vey, I wasn't predicting him, I was saying he was the only one that even somewhat sounds like the case. It looks like it will be a new case.

Ok, get this, apparently that child molester case IS Johnny Napier! Who has already been captured. Since last NOVEMBER! So I guess The Hunt will do what AMW did and insert a "while filming, *insert fugitive here* was caught" at the end of the episode. While I'm glad he was captured, the actor is pretty much dead on. But still this is the problem when you only air one-two cases and film so far in advance. If they had a 15 seconds of shame segment at least, it would make up for Megan Everett being the only still-at-large fugitive (that we know of) to be on an episode this Sunday. When you only have 1-2 cases an episode, it means even less cases for the season for justice if one is caught. There should have at least been back-up cases filmed as well. I understand that takes time and effort, but you could always save them for season 3 and Napier was caught all the way back in November. We now apparently will see reduced direct capture odds for The Hunt this season because they're airing an already resolved case. And apparently, this means Matthew Dion and Alexander Hill Jr. may be aired anyway as well. www.cnn.com/videos/tv/2015/07/30/child-molester-new-identity-john-walsh-the-hunt.cnn

This is seriously not happening. I hope that if The Hunt gets a third season, they will not film segments so early in advance. I may actually not watch the Napier part and probably not the Paul Winklebleck part as well (pretty much guaranteed now he's going to get aired).

At least Winklebleck has not been "officially" confirmed deceased- even though we know he pretty much is- fitting that with The Hunt having such a deadly result first season, they may air a dead guy in season 2 though lol.
I guess I'll watch the segment anyway but it is a half-hour waste of a still-at-large fugitive they could have aired. And unlike Hill and Dion who were caught recently, they had plenty of time to replace Napier.

I will say in The Hunt's defense, they first thought the season would start in March or April- so it is partially (if not entirely) CNN's fault as well for delaying the debut. But Napier was still caught well before March.

Now the video is no longer available. Does this mean Napier will not air after all or will they still air him and just mention he was caught? Will they just expand Megan Everett to cover the entire an hour? Will a different half-hour fugitive replace him? Stay tuned I guess. LOL.
