do you think that the whole entire 3-D thing is that kind of much more closer to possible 'Hologram' technology?

Looks like it. I made a joke when Unsolved Mysteries came back because of how there was no host because they didn't want to mess with Robert Stack's legacy that they could have just made a hologram of Stack host instead lol.
AMW is obviously a different show and doesn't work without a host though while UM's new format doesn't need one. It does look like Liz Vargas will be investigating the cases on her own as well so that's also why you need a host for AMW.

I saw the promo and they seem to be focusing heavily on Glen Godwin. I suspect this might be a smart marketing move towards longtime AMW viewers who want to see longtime fugitives profiled again. I don't mind the new AMW profiling fugitives like Godwin, as long as we still get a lot of newer, and especially more recent fugitives as well. It's rather ironic because you would think AMW would be the breaking news show and In Pursuit would be the cold case show lol. It might be one case. The ideal set-up is AMW for breaking news fugitives with some cold cases sprinkled in and In Pursuit to cover the breaking news ones still not caught/colder but not too cold cases with a little more in-depth with some older cold cases sprinkled in. They also look like they will focus heavily on 3-D and graphics so it should look really cool. Also keep in mind that they might not be showing more recent fugitives in the promo in the event that they are located before March 15th.

I guess we'll see but based on the fact Glen Godwin will be getting a profile and no one from the show has ever registered on this site- to my knowledge at least and/or reached out to me, that the show will be more "top list" heavy than the old AMW with maybe a few well known cold cases as fan-service as opposed to researching cases. I don't want to be petty and I'm still going to support the show because of how important having a court of last resort is, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't the least bit offended lol.

Just wanted to add that we should hopefully have an official website for the new AMW soon.

For the record HeadMarshal is saying he hopes they have a website up and running soon. The good news is worse comes to worse there's always our site.

Thanks to Head Marshal for alerting me that tvugide is listing these three cases for the first epsiode-
-Glen Godwin, who we already knew about
-Jennifer Settle, wanted for parental abduction of McKenna Butcher in 2019
-James Benson, former AMW fugitive wanted for attempted murder of his grandfather in 2008.
One thing to keep in mind is that the old AMW at least was a breaking-news show and there was cases they purposely didn't disclose in the previews.
I'm saying this because at first look it looks like they're doing a "greatest hits" version of AMW and Elizabeth Vargas is playing Dennis Farina's version of Unsolved Mysteris just going over the old John Walsh cases still unsolved with a new case sprinkled in here and there the way Farina went over Robert Stack's old cases, as opposed to old AMW which combined old and new but skewered new to increase capture likelihood, but I'd wait for the actual show and see what cases actually air in this and future episodes before passing judgment. (In other words to be honest I'm disappointed with the first episode case selections, but that's only if they're the only cases).
I'm sorry if I sound critical here, even though tbh I'm still ticked there's been like no interaction or outreach from new AMW to us despite that they must know about this forum, this show isn't about me but about the victims. (In fairness to me, part of the reason I'm upset is I have a lot of people I'd want to help if new AMW ever bothered to reach out). But it will be a lot easier to get justice if they skew more recent with the cases so I hope this first episode example is just a sample.
We/I should still feel excited the show is coming back, but that doesn't mean we can't constructively criticize because we love AMW!

I guess that's my complaint is so far it seems like they're doing a bunch of old cases (besides Settle) when their focus should be on new cases if they want more captures. But like I said, there may be cases not in the listings.

I wanted to say that I'll still support AMW, on the condition that it actually "accomplishes it's goal". What I mean by that is by doing one of the following three things, which are apprehending fugitives, along with solving unsolved homicides and finding missing people occasionally. The primary goal should be to arrest fugitives which seems to be the case based on what we can tell. However, as Scumhunter mentioned, it would be very helpful to focus on more recent fugitives who have never been aired on a true crime show, in order to do that.
If we are several episodes in and there are hardly any captures, I'm going to be really annoyed. I'll give the show the benefit of the doubt as there will be likely additional cases on the first episode aside from the three that have been confirmed. We have a huge opportunity for viewers to make a difference once again, and I would really hate for FOX to miss out on allowing the public to do that in the most effective way possible.

Sorry for the double post but FOXFlash (which is an official publicity site for FOX entertainment), is referencing the March 15, 2021 episode as the "Glen Godwin, Eugene Palmer, Jennifer Settle" episode. I swear I read the same press release on the site yesterday and it said James Benson instead of Eugene Palmer. www.foxflash.com/releases/view/week-of-mar-14-21-2021

Alright I take my criticism back as that's two out of three semi-recent cases AMW. My bad AMW!

Alright I take my criticism back as that's two out of three semi-recent cases AMW. My bad AMW! I seem to recall reading somewhere that the episodes would be filmed around two-three days in advance before being aired. It's possible that they are still working out the exact cases that will be on the series premiere. Glen Godwin and Jennifer Settle have pretty much been confirmed, but they may not be 100% certain on this third case, or only decided on it now.

Yeah it's a wait and see approach. Just happy to have the show back.
