I've mentioned previously I have no idea about the capture counter. I hate to call it "fun" but that was one of my favorite features of the old AMW was seeing how many captures they listed at the start of each episode and it was exciting to see the number go up and up and up. But the trend lately seems to be not using capture counters for these shows so we shall see.

I hate to call it "fun" but that was one of my favorite features of the old AMW was seeing how many captures they listed at the start of each episode and it was exciting to see the number go up and up and up. But the trend lately seems to be not using capture counters for these shows so we shall see. If they don't continue 'THE CAPTURE/CAPTURED COUNTER' and a dirt bag get caught thanks to a tipster are you or are we going to put the NEW CAPTURES underneath like a category that goes something like AMW 2.0 CAPTURE(S) DIRECTORY? |

I think unlike In Pursuit which is a much easier show to keep track of, AMW 2.0 would be much harder to do since they (presumably) will show more cases. Not to pawn it off on him, but that would be up to 912thamwuser since I feel because of his tradition he should get to handle the captures from the new show as well. Also yes I loved the capture counter too but I think we're a little too worried about that when the main goal should be solving the cases. The capture counter should be the last of our worries/problems, as cool a feature as it was. |

I agree that the main priority should be the new AMW successfully capturing fugitives and solving cases.  However, I'm sure we can have some type of record of fugitives directly caught by the show. 912th would do an excellent job with that. |

Please read the upcoming on In Pursuit thread for updates on the show , the show has been renewed for season 3, just not officially announced, it's just they can't shoot until the pandemic (for lack of a better phrase) dies down. They are currently in pre-pre-pre production. I have official sources at In Pursuit to keep everyone updated on that show. I don't know anyone at the new AMW yet and no idea if I ever will but I can at least update In Pursuit. As I said previously on here, the new AMW I'm assuming will be more in-studio focused so it's a lot easier for them to work around the pandemic. |

Also I think the article is being a little unfair to Elizabeth Vargas by saying the show *needs* Walsh back in some capacity or it won't be received well.
Obviously Walsh is a legend and huge shoes to fill, but Vargas deserves to be given a chance to make her own impact. Maybe a weird analogy but guest host Ken Jennings said it best his first episode filling in for the late Alex Trebek on Jeopardy. No one will ever replace him, but we can continue to honor him by playing the game he loves. Walsh can continue to be honored by continuing the mission. (I realize JW is thankfully still alive but I'm sure you get the point).
It's ultimately how well the show is produced and run that will determine if the reboot will be a success.

In the 10 second promo for the new AMW, I snipped this image in Windows 10. It was right before the photo of Glen Godwin.  Any ideas as to who this is. Is this just a side mugshot for Glen Godwin or perhaps a different fugitive? |

I saw that too but didn't even mention it because I just assumed it was Godwin. In retrospect perhaps it is someone else or maybe it's the guy that helped break him out of Folsom.

I definitely think this is Glen Godwin, all the physical features do line up with Godwin’s. Also they may talk about the fact that he was arrested in Mexico and that background in case anyone needs a refresher, was the same style as the one in Fidel Urbina’s images from 2007 & 2011.
I’m curious what position AMW’s return will put In Pursuit?
