I also want to stress that according to ID'S Twitter page, it was actually Jace (Courtney's son) who asked to speak on camera in the hopes of appealing to the public in to catch his mom's killer. So this wasn't producers taking advantage (not that it would have been) but Jace himself being courageous enough and wanting to go on camera.

Ok it's now been officially a month so now I'm getting antsy but I'm only bringing this up since I'm trying reverse psychology to hopefully get a direct capture- which has actually worked in the past lol.
And yeah by Covid being a factor I mean criminals- if they're smart at least will be wearing masks, travel has picked up but it's not pre-2020 levels for people to say go on vacation in Mexico and recognize a criminal etc...
The good news is although I don't want to get our hopes up is me and HeadMarshal found out this season may actually be 13 episodes! I can't say for sure but it is funny that we went from worrying it might only be ten episodes to this lol

We have had success with locating missing children and I definitely cannot complain about that. As Scumhunter has mentioned, it may be more awkward with people recognizing fugitives due to Covid-19. I do feel that they have aired a lot of fugitives (especially 15 SOS cases) who should be more likely to be caught. I will still be optimistic for success this season at locating and apprehending fugitives.

I also do want to stress there are also the fugitives likely in Mexico where even if they're caught, we might not even know about it for weeks or months if they aren't extradited right away as they might want to wait for extradition to be approved to officially announce anything. Also a lot of the 15 seconds of shame fugitives this season so far seem like relatively easy captures and recent cases and I see a bunch who would be good candidates to get full-profiles in Season 4. The thing is some people may not realize it takes a while to film these cases, so if they're wondering why they weren't given full-profiles and only got 15 seconds, it's likely because there was no time to do any more than that as they're all for the most part recent cases and the full-length segments are filmed way in advance.

I watched the Discovery Plus version of tonight's episode but there was no mention of Brian Laundrie. I assume the live version is where they'll have the time to add him.
Thankfully not as much to spoil otherwise. Margaret Smith segment was surprisingly decent considering it's already been on The Hunt and AMW, so even though it was pretty much condensed version of the same story shown The Hunt, they did it good enough.
John Panaligan is an underrated case I feel as I don't mean to call us out but the guy murdered someone in an office building in broad daylight and it's like the least discussed thread in the U.S. Marshals Top 15 section of our site right now. They did a good job of explaining that even though this is the "only" murder Panaligan has ever been accused of, he is an extremely dangerous and frightening man, and there's a reason he was added to the Top 15 list.
Have a lot more updates than usual from last night's episode (nothing too bad tip-related but there was a 15 seconds of shame fugitive not on our site so I have that in addition to my usual postings), so got to get to them now.

Mentioned before on the Discovery Plus airing you will see Daniel Wright as a 15 Seconds of Shame fugitive but on the ID channel version they feature Brian Laundrie instead as a quick wanted for questioning segment.
This was all I expected as this is the way the show works as it tapes way in advance and isn't the same as AMW, just updating for updating sake.

I was waiting until after the episode aired as to not spoil anything but two things I noticed in the Margaret Smith segment:
1. Did they do the police recording of her fake crying before on AMW and/or The Hunt? They probably did and it's just my memory being off.
I'm also surprised they only interviewed a friend of George Smith's and not any of George and Margaret's daughters but maybe they declined to participate.
Also they once again showed Dylan Laughrey claiming his innocence. Maybe it's just for story sake but I find it weird that both The Hunt and In Pursuit did this. Like I'm wondering if they're trying to passive-aggressively say they think Dylan might be innocent too.
Not to sound sexist but I think Margaret while not skinny was not the physical build to have done such a brutal homicide. Most wife on husband homicides are gun or poison-related. Yeah if George had enough drinks in him maybe but if Dylan is somehow innocent in my opinion Margaret hired a different hit man.

I just finished the episode and it was done very well. Unfortunately I don't really remember the AMW and The Hunt profiles of Margaret Smith so I can't answer Scumhunter's first question.

So there's a little less stagnation now. Hope we see a direct capture soon. As much as I hate him and Gabby Petito deserves justice, I wasn't sure about the decision to air Brian Laundrie as breaking news since he's already known to everyone in America anyway if they spot him, but now I think he may be caught soon specifically because of In Pursuit! I forgot the same public that doesn't always call the cops calls John Walsh!

Found all the episodes up until episode 10 (which we thought might be the unfortunate last week of Season 3 but now we have hope they might have been able to finalge three additional episodes out of the blue this season) October 13th (episode 9) will be FBI fugitives Adarus Black and Michael Pratt. www.betaseries.com/en/episode/in-pursuit-with-john-walsh/s03e09October 20th (episode 10) will feature a new fugitive named Jason Alvin Hines, wanted out of Arizona, a suspected three-time child molester whose wife is a missing person. The second case will be Cal looking into former AMW web-exclusive fugitive and FBI website fugitive Steven Clifford (the chiropractor accused of sexually assaulting his patients). Nice to see he is finally getting a full-profile national airing. www.betaseries.com/en/episode/in-pursuit-with-john-walsh/s03e10

P.S. I'll delve a little deeper into the Hines case and try to put up a profile today.

I like how this season the makeup of fugitives was, as they’ve focused on a lot of non most wanted list fugitives and with only John Panaligan being a U.S: Marshal most wanted list case to be aired thus far, I wonder who the FBI will air from their Top Ten List.

I know I blame Covid for everything, but I think the way they chose cases this season was different due to Covid, if you notice, there's even more unknown or new cases (little publicity cases that not even our site knew about) than usual this season. Usually the first case is a USMS Top 15 case but this season the first case was Erik Arceneaux- it is a high-profile case but not on any top lists. So it looks like we might not see any top ten cases this season- although we do see FBI website cases at least- based on that.

P.S. I know I once again am beating a dead horse but that's also why I'm surprised there's been no direct captures so far since usually unknown fugitives are easier to find since those fugitives didn't have the same head start of knowing they were being seriously searched for like others, so maybe that really is a sign it is because of Covid.
Even AMW should have had more capture success in their season back, even though they caught four fugitives, but only three cases overall and Phillip Michael Dent was a breaking news case caught on camera case that was like the easiest direct capture ever and In Pursuit was also taking credit for Maurice Nesbitt, so like two cases of captures where only AMW claimed it was because of them exclusively. However, they are on regular national tv while ID is on cable which not everyone has, so there is an advantage there for AMW. I'm hoping once Discovery merges with AT&T it helps.
