(Above photo credit: fbi.gov) Jorge Rueda Landeros is wanted by the FBI in connection with the murder of a woman in Bethesda, Maryland. In around 2005, stockbroker, poet and yoga teacher Jorge Landeros met an accounting professor named Sue Marcum. Sue eventually made a contribution to the joint investment fund they were both involved in. Sue and Jorge may have had an intimate relationship, however Sue was worried with how Jorge was day trading the stocks in their fund. On Oct 25, 2010, Sue was found murdered in her home. Jorge then fled to his hometown of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. In 2011, Jorge was spotted at a yoga teaching class in the border city, however to date, Mexican officials have not gone to arrest him. Jorge even conducted interviews with the Washington Post saying his DNA was found in connection with the case because he had spent so much time at Sue's home. He even invited detectives to speak with him at a popular cafe in Juarez. Thoughts? Sadly this is yet another case where we pretty much know where the fugitive is, we just have to sit and wait for Mexico to go arrest him. It's good that Jorge was added to the FBI Featured Fugitive page so more people can be made aware of this annoying case. Admin Note #1: According to his fbi.gov wanted poster, anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jorge Landeros should contact their local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate. Despite AMW and The Hunt in recent years seeming to have EVERY capture happen in Mexico, the reason guys flee there is there's still no guarantee they'll be arrested, especially if they're already a citizen or naturalized citizen. Like here. If Mr. Landeros is so confident that he's innocent that he's inviting detectives to speak with him at a cafe or conducting interviews with the Washington Post, then surely he should have no problem turning himself in and defending himself in court. Since he's confident he's not guilty right? We're waiting Jorge...

Moving this case to fugitives on tv now that we have confirmation Landeros will be profiled on The Hunt's upcoming season.

I'm glad this case also is going to be featured on this upcoming season of the hunt.
The Murder again happened not far from where I live, Bethesda is where Bishop committed his crime and it's a very good upper middle- wealthy area which doesn't see a lot of crime.
Now onto Landeros, he murdered someone and he is known to be in Ciudad Juarez according to the 2011 sighting of him teaching yoga so it has to be the same thing with Brenda Delgado here, where the authorities are really dragging their feet and won't do anything unless they are a top ten fugitive.
But yet again were talking Ciudad Juarez and perhaps the authorities are scared of going there since that's where the worst of the worst of the Drug war is happening.

Jorge Landeros is also the FBI's Case Of Week, probably because of Sunday's profile.

I can't wait to see this episode tomorrow.
Now unlike Alfonso Diaz Juarez, Jorge Landeros may be the more likely to be added as a Top Ten fugitive to bring added exposure after his airing of The Hunt.
Now the worst case scenario is that if sometime after 2011 when he had contact with investigators, he fled deeper into Mexico and is hiding in plain sight.
The best case scenario is another Brenda Delgado style situation and they know exactly where he is and it's just a matter of asking their counterparts in Mexico to act.
This is another local case that I'd want to see solved ASAP.

So on the FBI poster they've also said that Landeros may be in Central America as well. However I must say as long as he didn't flee to Honduras we're alright. But also I feel Landeros may have retreated to a remote area or already had employment in manual labor in Mexico , that way it keeps him afloat. Landeros could be anywhere in Mexico at this point and also at the same time he may have fled to Central America.

I would agree those are good theories. I feel he's still in Mexico, just a little more under the radar than he had previously been,

It's been 5 years since he last contacted the detectives and this month will mark 6 years since the crime. Now I'll be honest, I have a feeling since it's October and we have 2 slots open on the Top 10 list I wouldn't be surprised if Landeros is added sometime this month, as authorities might want to make another effort to finally bring him in and I know I usually bring up this list to see if a fugitive is a good contender but if the FBI does plan the additions in October then he could be added. What gives me this feeling is when you look at history the FBI usually makes a special move on the anniversary month when a crime occurred like with Luis Macedo this past May.

Not an update..... Forgot to mention this but it's late, Jorge Landeros has now been on the run for 6 years. I really hope a miracle happens so this guy can be taken in once and for all. Anything would be good to just get this man in handcuffs to answer for his crime.

Now would be a good time to drag him back to the states?
I have been thinking heavily about this case and already with his airing on The Hunt, perhaps the boost they need is his addition to the Ten Most Wanted in order to finally bring this to a close.
However I wonder how the Montgomery County Sheriffs office, will feel having 2 of their infamous fugitives on the same list. (It's happened before with Macedo and Urbina, as well as with Delgado and Said)

Now would be a good time to drag him back to the states if they actually knew where he was. The Hunt airing indicated he stopped being so audaciously visible once the heat got more and more on him and disappeared somewhat. There are instances where the FBI exactly knows where a fugitive is, or at least have an idea of the general idea. We have no idea if that's the case here.

Well he would be a good long running fugitive to add with the other being Caris Ayala, but again we'll see what happens.
Landeros' airing on The Hunt is sorta helping but there needs to be added publicity and a significant amount of reward money. Obviously it works for any fugitive, but this could help bring Landeros in, even if they don't know where he is.
