I admit my first reaction was "Hey FBI, stop adding fugitives who may be in random countries that aren't Mexico or Canada! Don't you want to catch people!" and then I realized he was a bad dude and his crime was a recent one as opposed to some cold cases they've added lately which gave me hope for his capture. Lol I was thinking the same thing, I was wondering why they kept going for people out of the US that would likely not be found. Since his case was more recent that probably helped too, his looks etc. didn't change much so it was likely easier for him to be recognized.

I was quite surprised they cancelled it, it was definitely more of a success airing on Lifetime than FOX.

ja2013, was it known if Fisher had knowledge of the Tonto National Forest considering the SUV was left so far away from any regular road? Also were there any tire tracks aside from Mary's SUV's. If Robert had an accomplice, then that accomplice would have needed to have some sort of transportation. This was an area known well to Fisher, he camped in this particular area several times. Police never found tire tracks but they did find some shoe imprints, size 13, they were believed to be Fisher's. Oddly enough the trail of shoe imprints lead into that cave (Cave 41, the only cave they actually searched at the time). There's a lot of speculation about him hiding out in a cave or going very deep in one to kill himself but the setup of these caves are very challenging and require skill and accessories to navigate even a few feet inside.

The Robert Fisher case is my top case, I am most knowledgeable of this case out of any that I follow. We all know the anniversary is coming up on the 10th, 12 years have passed and not much has changed. I could fill this thread with tons of theories and more that I have on this case but I first wanted to start out with the matter of Mary's vehicle. On April 20th 2001, police recovered Mary's Toyota 4Runner which had been missing since the day of the explosion. It was found off an improved forest service road in Tonto National Forest, roughly ~40-50 miles from any regular road, parked into between trees. Aerial view of how the SUV was initially found before police towed it away. It was found with the mirrors moved against the windows to prevent the mirrors from hitting the trees when it was parked in=between them. Also, all the windows in the car were left rolled down (they weren't automatic). There's sometimes a misconception that it was initially found with the front tires flat, the tires were intact when the vehicle was found, the initial police on the scene flatted the tires believing he may return to the vehicle before backup and SWAT arrived. Here's some photos of the SVU when it was taken into the police impound and searched for evidence: What you'll find interesting is there wasn't a single fingerprint found on or in the vehicle, the only fingerprint found in the entire vehicle was on this coffee mug: The print matched Robert Fisher's index finger from his right hand. Not one single human hair was found in the vehicle either, no prints from any of the doors, etc. This led investigators to believe the car was completely cleaned out prior to it being abandoned in the woods. I have a few different theories on all this. Robert Fisher's baseball cap that he was pictured in the ATM surveillance with was also found in the car, it was on the passenger seat (not pictured). Police moved it since they had to use the scent off it for the cadaver and search dogs when the search first began.Things for you guys to make a note of, then formulate your opinions.(1) If Robert Fisher was planning to kill himself, why thoroughly clean the car down prior to ditching it (2) If he wasn't the one who cleaned it, who was and why. (3) Why would it matter whether to move the mirrors to fit the vehicle in-between trees, they weren't automatic so this meant whoever parked the vehicle up there, stopped, moved the mirrors than parked it.
(4) Why were all the windows left down.

I was expecting him to be a longtime top tenner, I was surprised when I found out he was nabbed so quickly.
