Such good news! I knew that wasn't in that was spotted clubbing and stuff, this is crazy! I am must admit I am surprised he made it successfully out of the US but than again, to last on the Top-10 list, you pretty much have to be out of the US (for the most part).

I read a lot about this case today, can't believe they just let him slip away and never added him to the Top-10 list. Such a heinous crime and especially given his background, he was prefect criteria for the Top-10 list. They typically select people who are considered "unsuspecting" Jason Brown, Robert Fisher, etc. all raised well, good backgrounds, etc. William Bradford Bishop had a pristine background and great career. I have no doubts that he fled the country and started a new life somewhere and moved around frequently to cover his tracks. Spoke multiple languages, former CIA, this guy was considered "made for the fugitive life", what a piece of trash.

Thank you JA! I've been slowly combing over it. It definitely seems there's evidence he was preparing to go off into the wilderness; the fact that he was given MRE's shortly beforehand, and the water purification filter in particular from what I've read so far. My family, friends and I all enjoy camping/hunting/hiking - everything from really roughing it to all the comforts of home in an RV. I'll tell you... the only purpose I know of that people get a relatively expensive purification filter like that is for extending backpacking - at least 3 days in the backcountry. Otherwise you just carry the water you need and/or plan to stop at places with potable water supply, like formal campgrounds. I'm less than halfway through the reports so I don't know if they revisit it - but I'm also intrigued by his purchase of an oil filter for a motorcycle. Has this ever been explained? He had changed the oil in his the day before the explosion. jscurious: I agree on Idaho, Montana and Colorado as being possible places in could be. Alaska is quite rough conditions but if he's that determined to stay free than it shouldn't be an issue. The FBI has actually advertised in a few different parts of Idaho as I believe they received multiple tips pertaining to that area: news.google.com/newspapers?id=86lfAAAAIBAJ&sjid=jjIMAAAAIBAJ&pg=4805,4328307&dq=robert+william+fisher&hl=en

Yep. Been watching the past few hours. Pretty crazy. I don't think I've ever seen an entire large city locked down before. I don't see this manhunt going on for long, glad they were able to identify them however.

There was a lot of speculation about his having a female companion that helped him get away, this never proven. I've read the packet several times before, trying to piece stuff together. Here's the packet: www2.zshares.net/qn6m12kv8l0r

Hi Lucid, I myself have been keeping an eye on remains that haven't been identified. I have thoroughly researched all that have been found in AZ. Contrary to popular belief (e.g. CSI shows, etc.), there is no national database for teeth X-rays. The police have Fisher's dental but it physically has to be matched to another set if a body is found and suspected to be his. This is pretty interesting regarding the remains you have pointed out in your post, typically an individual would let a friend or family member know where they would be camping, this individual appears to have went off on their own. Most of the items recovered with those remains fit Fisher, the amount of supplies, etc. He did have a heavy chewing tobacco habit but he very well could have switched to cigarettes as that would be easier while traveling in the wilderness (chewing tobacco would make one very thirsty). I am definitely going to research this further and speak with someone regarding this, even if it's not him, it's at least worth a shot at calling as it does have a lot that fits him. It happens a lot where stuff slips under the radar, as you said this was never entered in NamUS and possibly not NCIC. Good post and join us, we need more people interested in the Fisher case.

Wow this is a good one, definitely a very "cold case". I personally do not see this guy ever being caught, it's been much too long and hardly any media ever covered this case.
