I'm guessing he went back to Mexico or South America.

At times I do think Jason Brown could be caught any day but he has lasted very long, anyone else surprised this? Given who he was, I'm curious how he has been able to remain on the FBI's Top-10 List without being caught all this time.

He escaped with a lot of money, that's why he's been successful all these years on the run. From what it appears, the USMS last announced he may be in Eugene, OR but I doubt that personally.

C2C has announced they're filming a pilot for TV on June 7th. Newspapers state John Walsh and company are still trying to shop AMW or a re-branded version of AMW, but worst case scenario at the very least we may have one new fugitive chasing show, and getting a few fugitives mugs out to a national audience on a weekly basis is always a good thing. I am hoping for a best case scenario which is both shows make it on tv. We haven't had something like that that since AMW and Unsolved Mysteries were both on in the late 80's/1990's. Here's wishing both of them luck! As long as something comes in place of AMW that is similar in nature, I'll be content.

This is definitely a case I feel has been swept under the rug, it never got much media attention. I'm surprised someone accused of a crime this brutal and an escape never got much attention from authorities both domestically and internationally.

If I'm correct, bogart57 is Scott Hiers. I've seen his postings on several news sites defending Dan expressing that their was "other evidence" suggesting perhaps Dan Hiers didn't commit this crime. I remember seeing you had said someone was watching Dan's wife in the days prior to her murder and some other information regarding the crime itself. I do find it unusual that it took the police nearly a month to official charge Dan, perhaps there was something that made them think otherwise at that time. Please enlighten us further however, I have followed this case for years and am interested in learning more about it.

I was literally just about to post this! This is insane that they have been found especially ALIVE after all these years later, I think this will definitely give hope to others who have someone missing.

I can't really see him still being in the US with the amount of times AMW has aired this case and with the exposure of being on the Marshals Top-15 list. I do believe he is in South America, not Mexico, far far in South America, however there is some mystery surrounding this case. He took very little out of an ATM machine before disappearing, somewhat odd since he left a decent chunk of money behind. I've read on many sites that people believe he committed suicide but my question is where?

Good to a break in the case, as bad as the end result is at least there's a resolution, I'm waiting on the cause of death however.
