(Above photo credit: ksat.com, click to enlarge photo) From ksat.com: SAN ANTONIO – Police have identified the person accused of fatally beating a man with a baseball bat. Chance Stelzig, 26, is wanted in the murder of 46-year-old Faustino Rodriguez, officials with the San Antonio Police Department said Monday. Rodriguez was found unresponsive and bleeding in a parking lot around 10 p.m. on Nov. 17 in the 1300 block of Gardina Street. According to a preliminary SAPD report, witnesses heard a commotion before finding Rodriguez on the ground. Witnesses told police three people were seen running from the scene, and one man had a baseball bat in his hands. Police previously said the beating may have occurred during a robbery. Crime Stoppers offered a reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in November. Anyone with information is asked to call SAPD’s Homicide Unit at 210-207-7635 or 210-207-7273.www.ksat.com/news/local/2020/03/09/26-year-old-man-named-a-suspect-in-baseball-bat-slaying-sapd-says/Thoughts? Based on the above article's posting date, Stelzig was still at large at least as of March 9th, 2020. One thing the article doesn't talk about for whatever reason is when I looked for additional information about Stelzig on social media, I found out Stelzig is potentially connected to a possible missing person case as well. The family of 39-year-old Valerie Ingorvaia claims she is missing and was last seen with Stelzig, and are very concerned: (Above: Indian Country's missing on Facebook, if too small to see, please click to enlarge) www.facebook.com/Missing-Person-Valerie-Ingorvaia-101539764775803/ Admin Note: If you have any (news-related) updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

I have received claims Stelzig was taken into custody in Missouri this past Wednesday at 9 am by U.S. Marshals, however I can find no articles or official arrest reports backing up that claim. That is not to say I don't believe anyone, but this website unfortunately needs definitive proof to declare someone captured. If anyone has definitive proof rather than just saying he's been captured, it would be much appreciated.

Hi patthebunny, I see you tried to reply but I received your private website email. Please understand I believe you, this has happened to us too many times before where news websites do a media blitz about when the fugitive is still at large but then don't bother to update when they're actually captured, but we unfortunately need something official. Eventually, there is finally something official so I am looking forward to there hopefully being a public update soon!

He was picked up by US Marshals and may (still) be in Federal custody. I can't explain the lack of updated news reports. More than anything I wanted Valerie Ingorvaia's family to know he was in custody.

Thank you for that additional update. And once again thank you so much for the information. I don't want to sound unappreciative. This has happened too many times before where someone is nice enough to update us but the local media in the case doesn't provide the public updates. It is not your or anyone else's fault and I am very gracious, my frustration is at those who do a publicity blitz but then fail to update when there's resolution and not you. I am sorry to hear Valerie Ingorvaia was not with him and I hope she's confirmed safe and unharmed soon.

I'm sure there will be a public update eventually, but wish they could be a little faster in doing so.

Just on the off-chance I finally thought of checking the state of Missouri's court records- the crime wasn't allegedly committed in Missouri but I figured maybe he did something there to get himself arrested and charged and something would show- it shows a charge of being a fugitive from out of state- so we finally found official proof! Thank you so much once again! I am very appreciative for Faustino Rodriguez's family Stelzig will be put on trial and held accountable if a jury determines he is guilty but this is also bittersweet news that there is still an unresolved possible missing person case. www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/cases/charges.do
