The case of a missing 6-year-old boy from Hilo is now making national headlines and will be featured on a syndicated show.
December 20, 2019, Benjamin Rapoza went missing from his home in Hilo. He has nonverbal autism, but is said to respond to his nickname, "Big Boy."
After four days of looking for the child on Hawaii Island, officials suspended their search in December of last year. Now, the story will be featured this Wednesday in an episode of In Pursuit with John Walsh on Investigation Discovery.
Though officials have now stopped looking, family members and volunteers are not giving up.
"I just want him home with his mom and his twin sister and his siblings and that's about it. I'm holding onto that. We all are. We just want him home," Moana-Lei Mauga, a search coordinator, said.
Benny is about three-feet tall and weighs 40 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. He was only wearing a diaper when he was last seen
