From wmbfnews.com:
CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) – Horry County police are searching for a man wanted for murder in connection with an incident Thursday night on Long Branch Road near Conway.
According to a press release from the Horry County Police Department, around 6 p.m. on March 5, police responded to a home on Long Branch Road for a report of suspicious activity.
When officers arrived, they found one victim with injuries consistent with a homicide. The victim was identified as 65-year-old James Odell Cochran, of Conway.
According to information from the city of Conway, Cochran retired from the Conway Police Department with over 38 years of service as a lieutenant and was “a valuable member of the team and impacted the lives of many.”
On Friday, flags were lowered at half-mast to honor Cochran and his service to the community that he loved.
Cochran was known by many as Odell or Lieutenant Cochran.
His family called him a mentor, a loving brother and a sidekick for life as the entire community of Conway mourns a well-respected man, who’s life was taken through a senseless act of violence.
“My brother was the person that would give you the shirt off his back,” said Reat Gore, Cochran’s younger sister. “My brother was a good person and he shouldn’t have gone out this way."
Eric Kwajae-Mikhail Faulk, 22, of Conway, is believed to have been involved in the incident. Police said he may be driving a 2004 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado with SC tag FFL-471.
According to information from the Horry County Public Index, Faulk was arrested in October 2017 on charges of receiving stolen goods valued at $2,000 or less, and obtaining a signature or property under false pretenses.
Also in October 2017, Faulk was charged in North Myrtle Beach for third-degree assault and battery, and larceny, online records state.
“I just want justice served, I want him to be found I really do,” said Gore.
As police continue their search, Gore said she is thankful to all the men and women who protect Horry County and is proud her brother was one of those men in blue for 38 years.
“I was proud of my brother, every cop is not a bad cop and my brother was not one of those,” said Gore.
Anyone with information about Faulk’s whereabouts is asked to call 843-248-1520. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Thoughts? Based on online local news reports, Faulk was still at large at least as of March 6th, 2020. I'm a bit shocked I personally haven't seen any national publicity on this case yet considering this is the murder of a police officer, even a retired police officer should warrant more publicity. However, should he unfortunately stay on the run for a more extended period of time there will be more publicity and R.I.P. Officer Cochran. :*(
