Shannon Fox is wanted out of the Northern California town of Menlo Park for the vehicular manslaughter death of a young girl.
On Nov 12, 2009, Shannon and another driver were engaging in a street race at around 2PM. Surveillance video from a local business showed that Shannon ran a red right before crashing into another car with a couple and their six-year old daughter inside. The following day, the little girl, Lisa Xavier died of her injuries while her parents survived the accident. As for Shannon, witnesses saw him fleeing his crashed vehicle and calmly getting into another car involved in the street race. Authorities say that he has since fled the San Francisco Bay Area.
Thoughts? Many readers will likely be reminded of the case of Michigan fugitive Mustapha "Mo" Atat when it comes to this case. The difference is that Atat is probably still in the United Arab Emirates while Fox probably hasn't fled the US, so Fox should be much easier to locate. This is still a really tragic case that shows the dangers of street racing. And since a young child is the victim in this case, like we've done in other threads, I feel it would only be appropriate to show the picture of Lisa Xavier.
