(Above photo credit: lehighvalleylive.com) From lehighvalleylive.com: A Monroe County man stabbed his wife in front of their adult children Friday night before fleeing, and remained on the loose Saturday, according to police. Edward “Eddie” Sartoris, 58, of the 1600 Block of Glacier Drive in Blakeslee, Tunkhannock Township, is wanted on a warrant. He is charged with attempted homicide and other related counts. Pocono Mountain Regional police said in a news release Saturday that they were called about 10:30 p.m. to Sartoris’ home for a reported stabbing. Officers said the victim was found inside the home suffering from several stab wounds. She was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono in East Stroudsburg. Sartoris left before police arrived in a blue BMW 3-series convertible with Pennsylvania registration. "Edward has family in the New York City area and is also employed there," Pocono Mountain Regional Police Chief Chris Wagner said in the release. "His current location is unknown." Sartoris was described as a white man with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing about 230 pounds. Police asked anyone who sees Sartoris to dial 911 immediately, and those with information on his whereabouts are asked to call Detective Cpl.
