LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers has billboards up around Lee County in the hopes of finding the accused driver in a deadly hit-and-run.
The billboards feature a photo of Rosalia Diaz, who has been wanted since late January for the hit-and-run death of 63-year-old Anita "Kate" Johnson. Diaz allegedly crashed into Johnson and her dog on McGregor Boulevard on Jan. 22, 2020, then left them to die.
Crime Stoppers said they currently aren't aware of where Diaz is.
The billboards are up near U.S. 41 and College Parkway in Lee County, I-75 in Tice, and U.S. 41 and Linhart Avenue in North Fort Myers. Crime Stoppers contracted with an electronic billboard company to keep the Diaz sign up for the next 10 days.
If Diaz is not in custody within that time, Crime Stoppers could extend the contract.

Thoughts? I can't find Diaz in Florida's public access wanted persons search but feel it is still safe to reasonably assume she is unfortunately she is still at large as of this posting date (2/17/2020), since she is still listed as one of Southwest Florida's Top 10 Most Wanted fugitives: southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com/sitemenu.aspx?P=misc&D=1&ID=104
Additionally another article mentions Kate Johnson's boyfriend has created a Facebook page to find Diaz and the latest updates suggest they are currently still looking for her: m.facebook.com/groups/1053133271689596/?ref=share#_=_
