From The Hamilton Spectator:
He is considered Oakville's most wanted man and Halton Regional Police now aren't sure if he's even in Canada.
Mohammed Sodagari, 49, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for two counts of sexual assault against a 21-year-old woman back on Oct. 27, 2005.
Sodagari was charged in this matter but was released from custody and later failed to attend court before suddenly disappearing. He was educated as an engineer in Iran and was working in a factory while in Canada, according to Halton police.
"The latest information we have is that investigators believe the suspect has left the country," Const. Ryan Anderson said Tuesday (July 16). "It’s believed the suspect fled to Iran."
When Halton Regional Police found the distraught 21-year-old woman in an apartment stairwell on Marlborough Court near Sheridan College and just north of Oakville Place mall, she was partially-clothed and could barely speak, according to police.
The woman was taken to Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital where she was examined at Nina's Place. She told police she had been taken to an apartment by an unknown man and sexually assaulted.
Sodagari is front and centre on Halton's Most Wanted List and also appears on the RCMP's wanted list.
RCMP officers said in a statement that Sodagari is "considered to be violent" and if he's seen, police should be called immediately.
"Take no action to apprehend this person yourself," the statement reads.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Thoughts? Sodagari is my Canadian fugitive of the month for the month of January 2020 (and first Canadian most wanted of mime for the new year.
It will obviously be difficult if not impossible if Sodagari fled to Iran, but we owe it to the victim to try and hope Sodagari makes a stupid mistake such as trying to travel outside his home country.
