On May 27, 2018, two women in an Ottawa, Canada neighbourhood got into an argument. Tristan Campbell came out of his home and got involved in the dispute. Authorities say one of the women either pushed or punched Tristan, which led Tristan to allegedly shoot the woman.
31-year old Abdifatah Osman then came out to try to assist the woman who had been shot. Tristan then allegedly shot Abdifatah several times. While the woman survived her injuries, Abdifatah tragically died from his.
In 2012, Tristan Campbell was convicted of assault causing bodily harm and spent 19 months in prison. He was also supposed to have been under a lifetime weapons ban.
