Just wanted to state as a native New Yorker, I am aware of the tragic stabbing and murder of 18-year-old Barnard College student Tessa Majors, who is originally from Virginia, as the result of an apparent robbeery. Even sadder is apparently three teenagers are believed to be involved, with a 13-year-old boy in custody but not believed to be the stabber.
Tessa's case is still technically unsolved, but the reason I haven't made an unsolved case posting is it seems police have a general sense of the suspects and I want to wait a little bit and then if help is still being sought I'll make a posting. At the moment, it seens they have suspects, just not named and/or arrested yet.
This is a very sad case and my thoughts go out to Tessa's loved ones. It's a sad case all around- sad that Tessa had her whole life ahead of her- and a sad statement about today's youth as far aa who the alleged perpetrators are aa well.

Update: They have a final suspect but he ran away and they're showing his face asking for help. The problem is they're not saying his name which makes how to title a thread and/or what section to place the case in confusing. I can't imagine a 14 year old staying on the run for that long so for now I'll hold off unless they name him and/or he somehow defies the odds and is still on the run in a few weeks/months.
Also the head of the NYPD made disgusting comments going on a radio show to discuss his hearing that Tessa was in the park to buy weed- he intentionally or unintentionally blamed her for her own death. Tessa is the victim here, and I'm glad he apologized but he still shouldn't have been speculating and "accidentally" victim blaming in the first place.
