(WVLT) -- Officials with the Hamblen County Sheriff's Office are looking for William Madison Swafford after he failed to show up for his court date on charges of aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping, according to deputies. On November 2, 2019 at approximately 8:00 a.m. Hamblen County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a home on Leapers Ferry Rd. for a reported rape. Upon arrival, deputies said they made contact with a 27-year-old woman who reported that she had been beaten and raped. During the investigation, the victim told officials she met the man at a sports bar, sometime in the late hours of Nov. 1 or the early hours of Nov. 2. Deputies identified the suspect as William Madison Swafford. Swafford was arrested and charged with aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping, according to reports.
