Moderator Note: Law enforcement have publicly admitted they do not know the birth date, exact name and presumably other vital statistics (height, weight, etc.) of this fugitive. The suspect has used around 15 different aliases, including Miguel Duran, Gilbert Munoz and Rene Natividad Esparza.

On the early morning hours of July 31, 1987, Guadalupe Ocanas and her two daughters were having a sleepover at their home in Plainview, Texas. A little around 4 am, Guadalupe's boyfriend, known as "Miguel Duran' reportedly barged his way into the home. Then he allegedly pushed Guadalupe down next to her seven-year old daughter and shot Guadalupe several times. Guadalupe died soon afterwards at a hospital after her daughter had a chance to say goodbye to her mother.
The boyfriend known as "Miguel Duran" was identified as the prime suspect, but by that time he had fled. Complicating this case was that he apparently stole the identity of a man named "Miguel Duran" and almost nothing is known about this suspect.
The only clues are grainy photos of the boyfriend. Reportedly, he also had a scar on his nose, a big black mole on his face, a crooked pinky finger and a tattoo of a dagger.
Thankfully, in 2017, KCBD News did a story on this very difficult manhunt. The cases was also uploaded to the non-profit organization, Project: Cold Case's website earlier this week.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Hale County Sheriff's Office at 806-296-2724 if you have any information on this man's whereabouts.

Thoughts? As of today, November 16, 2019, the murder of Guadalupe Ocanas is still listed as an unsolved case on Project: Cold Case's website, meaning the man known as "Miguel Duran" is still at large.
A few technical notes. First of all, in the thread title, I have "Miguel Duran" in quotations since that's the most prevalent alias he used, however his real name isn't exactly certain. Second, I consider this to pretty much be a fugitive case since we are searching for the alleged murder suspect and we at least have an actual photo of him.
I appreciate the determination of Guadalupe Ocanas's family to try to get justice in this case. This will be really difficult to solve however. Just looking at the photos we have of this guy, I imagine he would be between 60 to 80 years of age today, or something like that. Just my guess though.
