An Amber Alert was issued for a girl who has been missing from Hondo since last month.
Eva Garcia, 14, was last seen at about 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 16 in the 200 block of 18th St., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
She is 5 foot 2, weighs 110 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair. She reportedly was last seen wearing a black and white shirt, black shorts and pink sandals.
Hondo police have said that an Amber Alert was not immediately issued because her case initially did not meet the requirements set by DPS.

Thoughts? It should note the Amber Alert link stresses Eva is believed to be in grave danger. I'm not sure if that information wasn't known before and that's why it took a month for the Amber Alert but regardless that makes locating Eva extremely important.
