Cortoreale escaped from the custody of the Massachusetts DOC on November 8, 1988. At the time of his escape, he was serving a 3-5 year state prison term for trafficking in cocaine. Cortoreale is described as a black/Hispanic male, 5'8" tall, 172 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. His date of birth is May 26, 1960. His last known address was New York City.
